That's the trick. Being branded as "X killer" just makes it seem like you're the same thing as X but maybe better.
Consumers don't want "Pokemon but better" because a big part of its appeal is the branding.
"Pokemon with guns" conveys that it does something fresh that Pokemon never would. It delivers something new to the customer that they want to check out.
An attempt at selling a product to lots of people? nooooo!
>product
Any reason why Americans nowadays speak like marketeers?
"I CONSUME THE PRODUCT"
Do americans think others will consider them smarter for talking like this?
Its artist trying to convince you they don't sell you "products". Or that art is not to be judged like a product making them seperate from relative criticizms due to palworld
none of those other games called themselves pokemon killers either. "pokemon killer" is a name assigned to games by pokemon gays to disparage people from liking or playing any other kinds of monster collecting games. they've been doing it for decades because they have no concept of success being relative and a massive amount of asshurt over people liking anything not pokemon.
>these people that didn't make the game said it is the pokemon killer >quote provided does not claim that at all
I bet you $1000 that is from some shitty site like kotaku. No surprise an ass blasted pokehomosexual would save something like that though as "proof."
It didn't. I only saw Ganker pushing that narrative. Everyone else was saying it was Pokemon with guns, which is still a bad description. It's more like Ark Survival Evolved with Pokemon instead of Dinosaurs.

This. Want to know why Snack World failed? >Be Level-5 >perfected the 80s media barrage by doing manga-game-toys-anime with Yokai Watch >Set up for a new franchise with Snack World >It's a roguelike, where all of your gear comes from scanning the toys! >toyline gets delayed by three months >suddenly, the main hook of your entire franchise is missing on day one >nobody buys it >you already had plans to sell it in the West >basically release a version where all the toy scans come preloaded in the game and unlock in an in-game vending machine >Japanese fans get mad because you could have done that the whole time for them >Level-5 nearly dies >Has to bring back fricking Professor Layton to just survive.
I am so sad that there are some morons at Level 5 because at a general glance their shit have sold like hotcakes and i respect it immensely. >Professor Layton is incredibly popular and it people are always hungry for more puzzle games >Inazuma eleven covers the sport with powers genre so fricking well that its shocking we didn't get the newest game. Its genuinely a fun gimmick >Yokai watch improved on every title it did. The third one culminated with having busters inside the game as a different game mode.I bought the jap version of 4 and finished it with a guide and it was a very fun experience. >Do i even need to say anything about fantasy life?
I honestly pity the person who doesn't try yokai watch just because its a "failed pokemon killer"
Level 5 made THE best third party games on the DS/3DS, and then I look at what they did in the East and it’s just… it feels sad to say it but holy shit they truly are moronic. You’d think the company that made Professor Layton would be smart, but I guess not!
>made the best third party games
yeah for me to poop on!
Ni No Kuni was a cash cow and they got 1 singular good game out of it before completely fricking it up.
But Palworld made them bleed even if it was nothing but a drop that's more than others ever did, Pandora's Box was truly opened so they will either get their shit together or do anything in their power crush them outside of legal stuff
> they will either get their shit together
They won't, if they react it will be >oh, so people don't have a problem with our lacking online infrastructure, lack of difficulty or the fact that the open world is completely empty wasteland with nothing to do, is that Pokemon doesn't have enough farming and base building
Based yōkai-watch being a trend-setter. It's a shame that the studio is trash. Also when you think about it quite a few Pokémon from genwun we're just yōkai. I remember that Drowsee was some tapir demon and it blew my mind.
The secret of Pokemon is that almost all of them in Gen 1 are yokai, Ultraman monsters, or riffs on established RPG monsters.
Hell, the very IDEA of catching monsters in a little capsule to use to fight other monsters is FROM Ultraman.
And DQ gets its own monsters from D&D, which is based heavily on Tolkein's works.
So actually, if anyone deserves money and credit from all of these successes from franchises ripping each other off, it's the Tolkein estate.
>palworld thrives because its edgy.
Palworld is edgy for the kind off american millennial and zoomer numales who calls themselves "dog parents". >buy Palworld because everyone was saying it's "Pokemon for adults", how you could kill and eat them >killing the not-Pokemon causes zero blood splatters, zero gore, all it does is the Pokemon gets swirly eyes like when Pokemon get defeated in the gay anime >eating them is just menu crawling, no sight of skinning the not-Pokemon and cooking their body parts aside from a generic animation that's the same for everything you cook
This is edgy in the same way FNAF is horror, in that it's not actually horrifying and an actual edgy Pokeclone game would have all the people praising Palworld for it's "edginess" crying because it's not "hecking wholesome" anymore, same way zoomers started crying about that viral youtube horror channel for depicting things like child rape and murder and not homosexual shit like FNAF that's all about fluffy, cuddly anthro animals.
I don't remember the name of the channel, it was a channel kinda like local58, happened last year.
It had the same kind of creepy, vague videos and in the end it's revealed that it's all about a serial raping and killer of children.
When this was revealed all the zoomies started crying because "that's not what horror is about" and unironically putting FNAF as an example.
>make analog horror series >premise is police tapes concerning a serial killer >serial killer paints horrific paintings of his victims as/after they die >All the paintings have names associated with the murders like "Johnny's Second Face" for the guy he flayed alive and painted his screaming skinless face. >the spookiness comes from the description of the murder scenes and slow reveals of the paintings >gets popular >one of the paintings is named "Frick Toy Cody" >We eventually find out that Cody was some 10 year old the serial killer vivisected and fricked >suddenly, zoomers flip out >necro pedophilia is not only "too far", but now they're suddenly concerned with the real world sensibilities for how serial killers have clear cut MOS and that this "breaks immersion"
>and that this "breaks immersion"
So they were immersed in a channel telling fricked up stories, but finding out it really happened in the real world broke their immersion? >w-what do you mean bad things happen in the real world outside the safety of my room/basement?
No wonder they flipped out, they're the kind of people who say whatever they want online with no regards to the consequences but if someone is mean to them they start crying.
It actually does, Palworld doesn't feel like it's for adults, but a game that's "edgy" but safe for numales.
You can kill Pokemon, but it has very hecking wholesome dying animations and then the Pokemon just flops to the ground with swirly eyes wholesomemly.
You can eat them, but it avoids showing anything.
It's exactly how it would look like if Game Freak made a Pokemon game that didn't try to hide away in Pokedex entries or random books the fact that people actually do hunt and eat Pokemon, just avoid anything to make it look violent or that the Pokemon are in pain.
Yokai Watch hit massive popularity because it came out after the worst selling generation of Pokemon ever.
But they drug their heels with Yokai Watch 3's release, bungled the West release, and then had to face Sun and Moon practically revitalizing the Pokemon franchise.
The funny thing is that, the toy in that anon's pic? It was MAKING FUN of the idea of turning Yokai Watch into a series dark series. Then the next year, they did it anyway. Shadowside flopped; partially because Yokai Watch 4 wasn't ready. Then Yokai Watch 4 bombed because you needed to have watched Shadowside, the Comedy Revival, AND the Side Movie to understand the plot.
So they dumped it all to do the school thing.
>Sun and Moon
Nah homie, Pokemon was carried back to the limelight by GO and GO alone, did you miss the part where the literal entire world was captivated by it for a few months? Gen 7 was just a bonus and an obligation, because Nintendo sure as frick isn't letting its low effort max profit cash cow roam off-platform no matter what.

First of all, SM didn't surpass GS in sales.
Second of all, it wouldn't have sold nearly as well without GO making Pokemon into, again, a worldwide phenomenon for a few months, elevating it back into permanent limelight and cultural relevance.
Even then, SM was just the start of that escalation. The honor of "second best selling games" ACTUALLY goes to SWSH.

But that's literally what happened, it was the closest damn thing to Pokemania the franchise had in terms of pop culture.
Boomers flipped their shit and thought Satan was striking back after the 90's, millennials were hyped because their nostalgic boners were getting tickled, and kids of all ages were hooked for a little while, except this time instead of mostly being confined to America, it was a literal global phenomenon that infected everywhere with devices that could play GO.

The "was" in the sentence "Sun & Moon was literally the best selling Generation since Gold and Silver" means that some other generation that debuted after it surpassed its sales.
The "since" in the sentence "Sun & Moon was literally the best selling Generation since Gold and Silver" means that no other Generation released between 2 and 7 surpassed Gen 7 in sales.
Where does the fricking time go? The first time I heard about this franchise it was apparently selling super well to Japanese children and had some kind of cowboy expansion planned.
Main releases were a year apart, but there were tons of spin-offs and associated toys, so there was pretty much a new game coming out every 4 months or so.
This sounds nonsensical. How did they think this was a good idea when the toys to life thing was dying outside of amiibo?
They were tricked by their success with Yokai Watch. The main toy was a replica of the watch, and then you bought the Yokai Medals at 2 for $1. The EXTRA gimmick of the Medals was that you could scan the QR code on the back and actually get that Yokai in your game. That's why the catch rate in the game was garbage; to push you into just buying the medals.
Level-5 just thought they could make this the MAIN gimmick to make even more money.
yes. yokai watch 2 came out in january in 2 versions, then in july the 3rd version was released. then i think 3 released less than a year after that and also had 2 versions and a 3rd version released 6 months later.
Palworld succeeded because it decided to copy everything that the average stream viewing npc loves. >fortnite graphics and 3rd person shooting >pokemon >dark souls setpieces and epic boss fight >botw exploration and minimal ost >The gameplay of any survival crafting game released in the last 10 years
All that's missing is something involving gta really.
>That's how businesses used to operate before ESG score was a thing
No, back then people had original ideas.
This is just Market Research: the videogame.

This is why we need communism. The state (me ofc) should determine what products exist and for whom. The free market is an abomination.
must've missed how everyone copied mario and then we had mario if he wombat, mario if he bear, mario if he cat, mario if he crocodile, mario if he hedgehog, mario if he monkey, mario if he 7up, etc.
Yes, and Mario is another Market Research franchise. Pretty much all Triple As and succesful indies are, which is why they are legitimately bad videogames.
Yeah, and when it was too close to Mario, they sued the shit out of them, which is why you got "Mario but animal, using different power-ups and other gimmicks"
No they didn't.
You think they did because the cream rises to the top. When you look back at video games of the past, you're only seeing the cream. In truth, there were far more games that were derivative cash grabs.
I don't think anyone ever called it a "pokemon killer", nor was it marketed as such..
They are two very different games.
Palworld has more in common with Ark.
Its incredible how morons here and some buttholes game journalists called a game a pokemon killer and shitposters took the thing and ran with it until it somehow turned into..."well why did the studio say they are the pokemon killer". Let me remind people that yokai watch was not meant to be a pokemon killer and nobody but this group of morons did that. So congratz Ganker, you are on the same level as game journalists and at the very least they have something to gain by lying because they get paid by companies to shill

There's no excuse to how all these games can't even reach the graphics of 10 year old Crysis 3.
>Rock-papers-scissors
This will always be a moronic cope. The system has a lot more depth than that. >abilities >held items >weather >terrains >trick room >switching >generation gimmick (megas, z-moves, dynamax, tera) >tera adds more depth by allowing pokemon to switch types
Even at its most stripped down battles are not solely decided by type, a Blissey is not taking much damage from a Focus Blast. >generic third person shooting?
The juxtaposition that comes from shooting Pals after decades of Pokemon establishing monsters to be lovable friends is quite entertaining to people, yes. It's not necessarily deep but it is fun.
>The juxtaposition that comes from shooting Pals after decades of Pokemon establishing monsters to be lovable friends
What juxtaposition? They went out of their way to make killing and eating them as numale friendly as possible.
They don't react in pain, they don't bleed, you don't skin them in order to eat them, it's carefully made to not offend the American millennial and zoomer.
Would have actually been funny if they actually let you torture them, mutilate them, skin them and actually cause them pain.
What's that other not-pokemone game that's supposed to be coming out? Sometimes a webm is linked it shows a character riding on a mantis and a snake and other things. I think its being made by a chinese company or something but looks 'good' like palworld?
>first Palworld >now some Chinese game
Jesus christ, you pokegays are just pitiful, endlessly chasing your shit subgenre by eating the very bottom of the barrel of the industry.
Why are morons saying DokeV looks like Pokemon?
Every single fricking video of it looks like a 1:1 of Monster Hunter's gameplay except with a modernworld aesthetic. Honestly why the frick don't anyone notice that the e-girls are all running around with giant fricking hammers and guns and shit to kill the monsters, does that sound like fricking Pokemon to you all? It's a Monster Hunter clone, not Pokemon.
Temtem failed because their monsters are UGLY. All in the hopes of being LE ORIGINAL and LE UNIQUE. Palworld made sure that their monsters were pleasant on the eyes before releasing the game. Frick originality give me something nice to look at.
>Palworld made sure that their monsters were pleasant on the eyes before releasing the game
Yes, and that's it's problem, it's the same cutesy crap that's been plaguing Pokemon for years.
Makes you feel like you are playing a game for 5 year old girls.
Modern pokemon look like random geometric shapes with eyes slapped on them, they have no distinct silhouettes.
If they did "who's that pokemon" in 2024, kids would be fricked
>Modern pokemon look like random geometric shapes with eyes slapped on them
Half of them do, the rest are cutesy crap that looks like it's made with 5 year old girls in mind.
I swear, Pokemon design has been on an endless downhill since Rayquaza.
>I swear, Pokemon design has been on an endless downhill since Rayquaza.
What? Rayquaza's design is pretty simple. If we're talking fricked up legendary designs gen 4 started that.
>Modern pokemon look like random geometric shapes with eyes slapped on them
Half of them do, the rest are cutesy crap that looks like it's made with 5 year old girls in mind.
I swear, Pokemon design has been on an endless downhill since Rayquaza.
This is because modern Pokemon designs are "disposable" now, the franchise doesn't want to commit to keeping around anyone except its shillmons so they can continue producing and churning out new monsters while keeping the monster count at 400-700 per generation.
This isn't just me because Im currently in the "honey moon" phase of Palworld infatuation, but even the attempted cutesy designs fall flat on their face for the newer gens.
The grass gato is probably the only one that really stuck.
Like I said, disposable. Remember when literally everyone was gaga for Wooloo during SWSH's prerelease season, and then they all suddenly went silent after a few months? Only for the exact same process to happen again with Lechonk during SV's prerelease season?

All these games are fricking garbage and have graphics that are like 2 generations behind every other game out there, how can anyone like monster catching games?
You gays are bigger battered wives than Call of Duty fans.
Palworld monster designs focus on two 3 main things, 1 an extremely cute critter, 2 an edgy/cool monster and 3 a frickable waifumon.
Basically, it makes it so that at least 1 pal speaks to your very own kind of mental illness, even robotfrickers get a bit in the shape of Lunaris which looks like an advanced robot alien thingie + waifu.
There was a glut of Pokeclones (not monster battlers; these games were SUPPOSE to be alternatives to specifically Pokemon) when it came out, so everyone ignored them.
The combat system is what holds it all together, there's a reason the moment a Pokemon game alters it the games underperform.
The problem is that the games are way too easy to take full advantage of it because it's come down to just "type advantage STAB your way to the Championship", when enemy teams should be built around a specific strategy, not a type.
These games have a serious problem when a player that has seen the credits roll hops onto the online PvP and has no fricking clue of what's going on, or why their Pokemons are losing half their HP just for gringing them out.
Maybe because their combat systems don't even get close to it.
There's not enough moves, not enough types, not enough creatures, they don't have abilities.
If the combat system wasn't important you'd think Legends Arceus would be the best selling Pokemon on the Switch, and yet it was outsold even by BDSP.
Pretty sure The Pokemon Company literally admitted that they only keep the games around to "legitimize" new Pokemon. The games make the LEAST money for the franchise.
>Pretty sure The Pokemon Company literally admitted that they only keep the games around to "legitimize" new Pokemon.
Adopting that mindset was so dumb. Back in the old days being they were dripfeeding new mons regularly and all it did was hype kids further.
>Pretty sure The Pokemon Company literally admitted that they only keep the games around to "legitimize" new Pokemon.
Adopting that mindset was so dumb. Back in the old days being they were dripfeeding new mons regularly and all it did was hype kids further.
If Nintendo weren't a part of the Pokemon equation, those games (which one pair of core games STILL sells more than some entire decades-old franchises do across all their games, by the way,) would have long since jumped ship so Pokemon could become a mobile-only franchise.
My main problem with TemTem was that I could never guestimate a creature's type from looks.
You see this PURPLE thing?!?!?
Rock type.
YOU SEE THIS LITERAL BUG?
Water type.
And shit like that.
I was literally going to make a post about this on /vp/. Turn based combat in Pokemon only exists today because of a technical limitations of the 1990's hardware. There is literally no reason to make a game turn based anymore in 2024 besides nostalgia.
But here's the thing: nostalgia doesn't make video games go viral, that only works for movies. Pokemon needs to evolve and invest money into action combat.
And that's never going to happen because they'd have to delay the annual release cycle, which Pokemon absolutely hinges on in order to continue peddling new monsters to make merchandise out of, and it's something Nintendo only benefits from because it improves the likelihood of people buying their platforms to get their Pokemon fix.
Thus, you'll continue to get turn-based rock paper scissors gameplay until the heat death of the universe.
You're not wrong. But I think there are many different franchises right now that need a long stasis. It's a whole different conversation, but I think Pokemon is one of them.
>I was literally going to make a post about this on /vp/. Turn based combat in Pokemon only exists today because of a technical limitations of the 1990's hardware. There is literally no reason to make a game turn based anymore in 2024 besides nostalgia.
No, what happens is that you casuals are afraid that, if the games actually get hard, you won't have any idea of what to do since you never learned anything about the combat system beyond type advantage.
And that's exactly what it should do, make boss fights like gyms and the League pivot away from mono-types to different strategies like stalling, full hazard etc.
That's where Pokemon's combat shines.
>Pokemon needs to evolve and invest money into action combat.
AKA you are a casual.
Bg3 already debunked your shitty zoomer opinion
Black person if there's ANYTHING redeemable about Pokemon is that it still has it's combat system.
You turn Pokemon into something like Xenoverse 2 and all you are doing is killing the franchise for good.
>bruhh fr fr turn games do be obsolete n shieeeet why dis no be fornite fr fr
Didn't Final Fantasy XV and XVI teach you the lesson?
Okay. Maybe not every unreleased title of Pokemon needs to get rid of turn based combat. But I think Palworld shows us that there is a demand action combat monster collection. I think we should have a Pokemon title that meets the demand.
>I think Palworld shows us that there is a demand action combat monster collection.

Think Skyrim, and how it's shallow as hell in every dimension, and yet the whole package was a massive hit.

this too, I cant believe so many devs left money on the table by not making a low poly optimized version of Ark that you can run on a potato, even ark with settings as low as they can go is slow chunky shit on computers made of brazilium
Hell, I bought Pokemon Stadium thinking I could actually control them, biggest gaming disappointment of my entire life. Now if they toned down the survcrafting and designed an interesting world to explore then Palworld would be my fully ideal pokeclone.
stadium frickin sucks and is nigh impossible to complete with rentals, you were just a dumb kid impressed by 3d pokemon models

Almost like that's the literal point, you were supposed to bring your ingame team to have Pokemon with actually good stats and moves to stand a chance.

Just like RGBY themselves? Whoa, who would've fricking thought?

Stadium is great just like Battle Revolution and Showdown are great, it focuses entirely on what matters, which is the battles, no open world slop to put up with.
Bringing back Pokemon Stadium is literally the one thing that would get "Hardcore" (read: 30+ and childless) Pokemon fans to shut up. >All Pokemon Available >All gimmicks Available >Built in Pokemon Home compatibility >Breeding Facility >Super Training Facility >All tournament styles for online play >Gym Leader Tower/Battle Frontier for solo play >Buy outfits, items, and Pokemon eggs with in game currency earned from battling NPC and other players

It would be just like Snap or if you want to talk outside of Pokemon, FF7R, it won't be the thing fans want.

Glad I'm not the only person who thought taht FF7R was a load of bullshit.
Black person if there's ANYTHING redeemable about Pokemon is that it still has it's combat system.
You turn Pokemon into something like Xenoverse 2 and all you are doing is killing the franchise for good.
Which is why all gameplay clones fail and get like 0 sales, right? nobody gives a shit about pokemon's gameplay other than a very tiny itty bitty percentage of gays that don't represent the buying public.
Probably because the combat system of those is a cheap copy of it.
> nobody gives a shit about pokemon's gameplay other than a very tiny itty bitty percentage of gays that don't represent the buying public.
The same buying public that has caused every Pokemon spinoff like Ranger or Mystery Dungeon to die, and that prefered the Skyrim-mod tier BDSP remakes than Legends, a game infamous for how much it butchered the combat system?
nexomon and coromon are quite good, but they are somewhat doomed by explicitly being NOT pokemon, paired with a poisoned well of dogshit clones that are bad to the core like temtem
The combat system is the least redeemable part of Pokemon. It feels slower and slower for every generation, juxtaposed next to the animated models while you wait for the fricking text to scroll. Just straight up uncanny.
>The combat system is the least redeemable part of Pokemon
What is then, the hecking wholesome cute Pokemoninos?
Going on hecking wholesome picnics with them?
Know that you gays are the ones for whom Scarlet and Violet was made for: minimal combat, focus on open world slop and filled with a ton of pointless time wasters and farming that had nothing to do with fighting.
Black person if there's ANYTHING redeemable about Pokemon is that it still has it's combat system.
You turn Pokemon into something like Xenoverse 2 and all you are doing is killing the franchise for good.
legit question if the next mainline is action based will this kill sales after all competitive pkm seems huge
It's been tried and tested that turn based games do very well if the game is good.
It's just a matter of making an actual good game which pokemon doesn't care about as the games are just advertisements for merch
Pokemon has a good combat system, the problem is that the games aren't nearly hard enough to force you to actually get into things like items, abilities, EVs, IVs and such.
Make all battles duo at least, balance the game so enemy trainers always have Pokemons 10 levels above yours and then give them teams like pic related. That's how you get casuals to get into the game instead of letting them get away with building teams of "cute" shitmons.
I swear I wish I was in charge of Pokemon, I'd make the game as hard as Pokemon Dark Rising and make every Pokemon abominations ala Monster Hunter, just to instantly filter out all casuals and coomers. These are the people that have brought about the cancer of Sun and Moon and the Switch games.
And those casuals being the target audience are why the games are shit.
If GF had no option but to pander to compgays the franchise would be way better.
Palworld doesn't target adults, it targets the Pokemon audience, specifically the kind that have been exclusively playing Pokemon for so long that they think grinding and crafting mechanics are innovation.
I just wanna go back to the comfy Gen 7 days. Chickenposting was so good.
I too miss that atrocious generation of movie games that, despite being some of the worst games in the franchise, had an entire legion of third world coomers defending them, just because of le waifus.
This is true, and going even further the pokemon games themselves are more or less glorified advertisements with a small cash bonus. They dont actually carw about the games much. Its more of a merchandise franchise similar to hello kitty
No, iirc they hated the Sun and Moon anime with the artstyle trying to copy Yokai Watch and viewership got worse to the point they finally got rid of Ash.
>implying Pokegays are any clue what's going on in other monster collection games
They probably only saw the TerminalMontage videos on MonHun years ago and assume those were 1-to-1 drawings.
All you had to say was that you wanted Legends Arceus, but they have more realistic designs. Calling the monsters in a game that tries to pull off "what if dinosaurs and megafauna still existed" abominations makes it sound like you've never seen them before.
Anonymous
>All you had to say was that you wanted Legends Arceus
No, Arceus sucked, and in part because the idea of a human fighting a Pokemon is absolutely moronic.
The offensive capabilities of Pokemon range from being able to instantly blow up a house to causing a False Vacuum decay, what the frick is a human going to do against that.
I'm saying the Pokemons themselves should be based on Monster Hunter creatures, not the game itself.

>The offensive capabilities of Pokemon range from being able to instantly blow up a house to causing a False Vacuum decay, what the frick is a human going to do against that
Throw a ball at it
Sun and moon are some of the more difficult games though. But let's face it every pokemon is easy as frick if you decide to steamroll with your starter
Kek palworld is killing nothing if they got that far is thanks to being compared to pokemon, if it wasn't it would have failed horribly, you homosexuals are so obsessed with the thought of a popular IP failing that you admire some horribly designed game.
>pokemon crossed with ark is successful because these two things alone are also successful
This isn't the gotcha moment you think it is, man. Nice bait tho, 6/10
>Kek palworld is killing nothing if they got that far is thanks to being compared to pokemon
That says more about the state of gamefreak than anything though
You guys do realize that all this is gaslighting, don’t you? The reason why Yokai Watch and TemTem are being brought up so much is because you said that they would kill Pokemon.
Palworld has not fallen off, because that would require it to actually be a thing to begin with.
Nobody was calling Palworld Pokémon killer until it started shooting up the wishlist rankings and then selling amazingly, it was always just Pokémon with guns before that
the problem with those other 2 games is that they also were turnbased jrpgs, pokemon is a jprg, jrpgs are fricking boring, pokemon gets away with it because its pokemon but if you aint pokemon you aint gonna make it
Did Palworld call itself a pokemon killer? If anything it just called itself Pokemon with guns.
That's the trick. Being branded as "X killer" just makes it seem like you're the same thing as X but maybe better.
Consumers don't want "Pokemon but better" because a big part of its appeal is the branding.
"Pokemon with guns" conveys that it does something fresh that Pokemon never would. It delivers something new to the customer that they want to check out.
>customer
>product
Any reason why Americans nowadays speak like marketeers?
"I CONSUME THE PRODUCT"
Do americans think others will consider them smarter for talking like this?
Its artist trying to convince you they don't sell you "products". Or that art is not to be judged like a product making them seperate from relative criticizms due to palworld
that IS what they are lol. All games are made to separate you from your money
>i came into a thread about the financial outcomes of video games and people are using words like """""customer"""""" this is late stage capitalism
No, I'm saying americans are prentious low IQ homosexuals who think themselves smart for talking like marketeers.
>i hate when people use words they think make them sound smart, pointlessly obscure jargon like, uh, "customer" and "product"
Yes, who but a marketeer says "I'M CONSUMING THIS PRODUCT IT'S SUCH AN EXPERIENCE" instead of "i'm a playing a fricking game"?
Probably people who are talking about the financials of games rather than their personal experience as a player but who could say
Aren’t you from Bangladesh?
>Americans aren't even mentioned once in this thread
>can't help but post about Americans anyway
Say it with me: R E N T F R E E
No it didn't, at this point the phrase "pokemon killer" is used mostly for falseflagging
>call itself
No game calls itself that, it's moronic people on the internet that do.
none of those other games called themselves pokemon killers either. "pokemon killer" is a name assigned to games by pokemon gays to disparage people from liking or playing any other kinds of monster collecting games. they've been doing it for decades because they have no concept of success being relative and a massive amount of asshurt over people liking anything not pokemon.
>these people that didn't make the game said it is the pokemon killer
>quote provided does not claim that at all
I bet you $1000 that is from some shitty site like kotaku. No surprise an ass blasted pokehomosexual would save something like that though as "proof."
You can kill Pokemon with guns, hence Palworld is the Pokemon killer
It didn't. I only saw Ganker pushing that narrative. Everyone else was saying it was Pokemon with guns, which is still a bad description. It's more like Ark Survival Evolved with Pokemon instead of Dinosaurs.
STOP IT
DO NOT TALK ABOUT PALWORLD
OR ELSE THERE WILL BE REPERCUSSIONS

YW2 alone mogs any post DS Pokemon game. Only reason the franchise failed is because Level 5 is historically moronic at keeping their IPs afloat.
This. Want to know why Snack World failed?
>Be Level-5
>perfected the 80s media barrage by doing manga-game-toys-anime with Yokai Watch
>Set up for a new franchise with Snack World
>It's a roguelike, where all of your gear comes from scanning the toys!
>toyline gets delayed by three months
>suddenly, the main hook of your entire franchise is missing on day one
>nobody buys it
>you already had plans to sell it in the West
>basically release a version where all the toy scans come preloaded in the game and unlock in an in-game vending machine
>Japanese fans get mad because you could have done that the whole time for them
>Level-5 nearly dies
>Has to bring back fricking Professor Layton to just survive.
This sounds nonsensical. How did they think this was a good idea when the toys to life thing was dying outside of amiibo?
>Roguelike with toys
Unironically a solid concept, but this should have been more a phone thing rather than trying to go for consoles.
>Has to bring back fricking Professor Layton to just survive.
Sounds like a win to me
I am so sad that there are some morons at Level 5 because at a general glance their shit have sold like hotcakes and i respect it immensely.
>Professor Layton is incredibly popular and it people are always hungry for more puzzle games
>Inazuma eleven covers the sport with powers genre so fricking well that its shocking we didn't get the newest game. Its genuinely a fun gimmick
>Yokai watch improved on every title it did.
Nobody played that on the DS buddy you’re not Japanese.
Literally the first franchise in a while to actually scare TPC a little.
But Palworld made them bleed even if it was nothing but a drop that's more than others ever did, Pandora's Box was truly opened so they will either get their shit together or do anything in their power crush them outside of legal stuff
> they will either get their shit together
They won't, if they react it will be
>oh, so people don't have a problem with our lacking online infrastructure, lack of difficulty or the fact that the open world is completely empty wasteland with nothing to do, is that Pokemon doesn't have enough farming and base building
Is YW4 good?
>palworld thrives because its edgy.
Palworld is edgy for the kind off american millennial and zoomer numales who calls themselves "dog parents".
>buy Palworld because everyone was saying it's "Pokemon for adults", how you could kill and eat them
>killing the not-Pokemon causes zero blood splatters, zero gore, all it does is the Pokemon gets swirly eyes like when Pokemon get defeated in the gay anime
>eating them is just menu crawling, no sight of skinning the not-Pokemon and cooking their body parts aside from a generic animation that's the same for everything you cook
You could say Palworld is a good example of a safe-edgy game.
>zoomers started crying about that viral youtube horror channel
qrd?
I don't remember the name of the channel, it was a channel kinda like local58, happened last year.
It had the same kind of creepy, vague videos and in the end it's revealed that it's all about a serial raping and killer of children.
When this was revealed all the zoomies started crying because "that's not what horror is about" and unironically putting FNAF as an example.
>make analog horror series
>premise is police tapes concerning a serial killer
>serial killer paints horrific paintings of his victims as/after they die
>All the paintings have names associated with the murders like "Johnny's Second Face" for the guy he flayed alive and painted his screaming skinless face.
>the spookiness comes from the description of the murder scenes and slow reveals of the paintings
>gets popular
>one of the paintings is named "Frick Toy Cody"
>We eventually find out that Cody was some 10 year old the serial killer vivisected and fricked
>suddenly, zoomers flip out
>necro pedophilia is not only "too far", but now they're suddenly concerned with the real world sensibilities for how serial killers have clear cut MOS and that this "breaks immersion"
>and that this "breaks immersion"
So they were immersed in a channel telling fricked up stories, but finding out it really happened in the real world broke their immersion?
>w-what do you mean bad things happen in the real world outside the safety of my room/basement?
No wonder they flipped out, they're the kind of people who say whatever they want online with no regards to the consequences but if someone is mean to them they start crying.
Urban Spook
>Palworld is rated PEGI 12 in Europe and has an ESRB rating of T for Teen in North America
Im not reading all this shit homie.
Im enjoying blasting the frick out of shark goblins with a grenade launcher wielding giant panda.
It doesnt need ultra realistic gore to be edgy
You have some weirdly specific, autistic expectations of a vibe, anon. It's pretty weird.
there isn't a single game with visceral eating animations, i don't know what you expected
you sound like a 14 year old
Yokai Watch was fine until it massively shat the bed.
>3 fricking reboots
for what purpose, wasn't the original idea solid enough
Ironically I think S/M was one of the better gens in recent memory. I sure as hell enjoyed it a lot more than X/Y.
>literal movie games
>Pokemon fan outs himself as having literally never played any other JRPGs before
Many such cases!
I don't care, focusing on the plot in videogames is utter cancer.
SM was an abomination, even the fricking demo was 70% skipping cutscenes.
And all for what? To tell the story of some girl with mommy issues.
Sun and Moon were offensively bad.
It has a tutorial that is like 10 hours long and dungeons that are like 5 minutes long. It's an awful jrpg. Play something like lunar the silver star instead.
that's more of an indictment than praise
Sun & Moon was literally the best selling Generation since Gold and Silver.
Carried by GO.
Everyone i know that buyed S/M buyed it because they got back into pokemon with GO.
The honor of "second best selling games" ACTUALLY goes to SWSH.
> elevating it back into permanent limelight and cultural relevance.
Didn't Yokai Watch also release a game every 6 months or something?
It was every year or so I believe, not counting the spin offs like Just Dance
Main releases were a year apart, but there were tons of spin-offs and associated toys, so there was pretty much a new game coming out every 4 months or so.
Palworld is too safe itself. They could have gone way further with the concept.
ben 10 sol with *smt

Palworld succeeded because it decided to copy everything that the average stream viewing npc loves.
>fortnite graphics and 3rd person shooting
>pokemon
>dark souls setpieces and epic boss fight
>botw exploration and minimal ost
>The gameplay of any survival crafting game released in the last 10 years
All that's missing is something involving gta really.
That's how businesses used to operate before ESG score was a thing, it's why there were so many mascot platformers in the 90s.
>That's how businesses used to operate before ESG score was a thing
No, back then people had original ideas.
This is just Market Research: the videogame.
you mean a product was made for a consumer group??? nooooooooo!
>you mean a product was made for a consumer group
No it's an attempt to get as many people as possible, same reason why, for example, Ubisoft turned all their franchises into Assassins Creed clones.
An attempt at selling a product to lots of people? nooooo!
Yes, that's why it's shit, trying to attain mass appeal is how you end up with pure goyslop.
It's the most soulful game so far this year moron, have a nice day.
>Early Access Survival/Crafting/Grinding game #5139781953879103
>soulful
Between this, the people saying Palworld is edgy and some people even thinking that Palworld has good graphics i'm fully convinced all Palworldgays are not only PokeBlack folk, but the kind of Pokegays who had never played anything but Pokemon before.
It's the only way you can have standards this low.
There's nothing soulful about early access garbage
There is if it's fricking better than most finished AAA games
>Triple A games
Games padded out with obnoxious levels of grinding to keep you playing the game, most of which have questionable graphics and all discussion about them starts dying down within a week?
Totally like Palworld, right?
>still the most talked about game in the world right now
>discussion all dying down within the week
maybe in fricking bizarro world
Even in Ganker a week ago Palworld threads were reaching bump limit within 2 hours.
Now they get like 5 posts an hour unless they are bait threads between Pokemon and Palworldgays, and even those have heavily slowed down.
That's what happens when there's nothing to talk about, there's zero depth in these games.
Even Pokemon discussion only comes down to waifugayging and loregays because there's nothing else to talk about.
Bruh we have at least 5 threads going RIGHT NOW at the same time here. This thread sure as frick isn't getting only 5 replies an hour, the art thread of people posting new dazzi and floopy drawings sure as frick isn't only getting 5 posts an hour, the other thread that jannies auto-saged sure as frick wasn't getting 5 posts an hour. Why are you lying anon? Why such a fricking obvious easily disprovable lie at that?
Also, some threads have been autosaged.
Just wait for the updates
Just like what ARK survival evolved did
>heh AAA games, the ones that have bad graphics??
What do you call games with good graphics then, moron? SSS games?
The ones that don't have your screen completely smeared with vaseline.
RDR2 is one of the few exceptions.
And what do you call RDR2? Would that be an AAA game? It's so hard to talk to morons who insist that words mean different things, you need to ask question to figure out what the frick they're even trying to say
It is a Triple A, I just said that the average Triple A has shit graphics because they are so blurry it makes you feel like you need glasses.
I blame TAA for this.
>soul
Black person all there is in this game is a couple dungeons, 4 bosses and an obnoxious progression system that by level 15 it's gonna force you to just run around killing and catching pals even if you don't need them just because of how ridiculous the level up requirements get.
This is why I hate grinding in videogames, it's just a mechanic to artificially make a game longer without actually creating any new content.
>4 bosses
There are 5. You never played the game, your opinion is meaningless.
I did, very little but I actually fell for the "Pokemon for adults" thing, only to get another Early Access Survival game instead.
Worst is I bought a CD key so I can't even refund it.
Lmao no they didn't. Every hit game came with 10 big budget copies. Same with movies.
>back then people had original ideas
you need to be 18 to post here
No they didn't.
You think they did because the cream rises to the top. When you look back at video games of the past, you're only seeing the cream. In truth, there were far more games that were derivative cash grabs.
???
FPS genre used to be called Doom clone for a good reason
You can attack an NPC and become a wanted criminal, so there's your GTA gameplay
You even get higher "star levels" the more you assault the cops.
I don't think anyone ever called it a "pokemon killer", nor was it marketed as such..
They are two very different games.
Palworld has more in common with Ark.
does increasing a pal's star rating make them smelt ingots faster?
This game could benefit from monster hunter style missions/quest rewards, just grinding resources gets old quick
>lost most of the players
>not amount of copies sold
>game didn't last an entire month
It's ogre
It's not an MMO, Tendiebro
And that's why ARK will always be better, poketard
I notice it took you 2 hours to respond, were you perhaps taming a single raptor that entire time?
Its incredible how morons here and some buttholes game journalists called a game a pokemon killer and shitposters took the thing and ran with it until it somehow turned into..."well why did the studio say they are the pokemon killer". Let me remind people that yokai watch was not meant to be a pokemon killer and nobody but this group of morons did that. So congratz Ganker, you are on the same level as game journalists and at the very least they have something to gain by lying because they get paid by companies to shill
it's over
Palsisters, even the recent Microsoft buyout couldn't save our game...
That's just the regional difference as Palworld is popular in Asia while CS is mostly played in Europe. Look at the daily peak, it's 35% above CS2
>Pokemon
>Palworld
>Digimon
>Yokai Watch
>Monster Hunter Stories
All these games are fricking garbage and have graphics that are like 2 generations behind every other game out there, how can anyone like monster catching games?
You gays are bigger battered wives than Call of Duty fans.
Awwww, zoomie doesn't like the gwaffics
I'm 28, also zoomers don't care about graphics, they all play ugly shit like Fortnite or Elden Ring.
There's no excuse to how all these games can't even reach the graphics of 10 year old Crysis 3.
Feel free to rope yourself anytime you feel like it, you have my approval
>call out this shit genre for how mechanically obsolete it is and how awful it's graphics are
>instantly resort to insulting
Embarassing.
I didn't ask for your worthless opinion therefore I didn't engage you on your points and would rather call you a worthless homosexual instead
>write dumb incorrect shit about shit you don't know shit about
>lol gottem
>dumb incorrect shit
What is incorrect?
The games are pure slop, are mechnically obsolete and have atrocious, early PS3-tier graphics.
If people on the internet only did what others asked the entire net would be reduced to Patreon.
Don't you have a call of duty general in /vg/ to shitpost in instead?
They're no even in the same genre, like the other anon said you're too stupid to even troll
>muh gwafix
You have no idea what you are talking about. The only thing i get out of you is that you wanted to troll but have no idea what you are trolling about.
Graphics don't matter, gameplay does. The genre appeals to something humans greatly enjoy, which is raising pets.
>Graphics don't matter,
Yes they do, this is a cope from people who play indie and Nintendo games.
>gameplay does.
And what gameplay do we have in this subgenre? Rock-papers-scissors and generic third person shooting?
>Rock-papers-scissors
This will always be a moronic cope. The system has a lot more depth than that.
>abilities
>held items
>weather
>terrains
>trick room
>switching
>generation gimmick (megas, z-moves, dynamax, tera)
>tera adds more depth by allowing pokemon to switch types
TemTem is so shit, they literally made another low effort gamefreak game but with less likeable creatures
What's that other not-pokemone game that's supposed to be coming out? Sometimes a webm is linked it shows a character riding on a mantis and a snake and other things. I think its being made by a chinese company or something but looks 'good' like palworld?
>first Palworld
>now some Chinese game
Jesus christ, you pokegays are just pitiful, endlessly chasing your shit subgenre by eating the very bottom of the barrel of the industry.
>Thread about palword
>Ask about other not-pokemon games
>NOOOO I DONT WANT THAT
Trying way too hard
You mean Vaporwaremon?
>live service
it can stay vaporware
This shit is going to be monetized out the ass if they ever release it
Why are morons saying DokeV looks like Pokemon?
Every single fricking video of it looks like a 1:1 of Monster Hunter's gameplay except with a modernworld aesthetic. Honestly why the frick don't anyone notice that the e-girls are all running around with giant fricking hammers and guns and shit to kill the monsters, does that sound like fricking Pokemon to you all? It's a Monster Hunter clone, not Pokemon.
I see cute monsters, I call it pokemon. Simple ass!
>Pokemon has shit like Charizard, Salamance and Rayquaza
>despite this it's still become the "cute monsters" franchise
I hate Game Freak so much.
ohnonono
Temtem failed because their monsters are UGLY. All in the hopes of being LE ORIGINAL and LE UNIQUE. Palworld made sure that their monsters were pleasant on the eyes before releasing the game. Frick originality give me something nice to look at.
I think the designs are the least of that game's problems
>Palworld made sure that their monsters were pleasant on the eyes before releasing the game
Yes, and that's it's problem, it's the same cutesy crap that's been plaguing Pokemon for years.
Makes you feel like you are playing a game for 5 year old girls.
Every demographic loves cutesy crap THOUGH
Agreed.
It's fair to say the classic anime was a driving factor behind the personality and appeal of some mons.
Jigglypuff wasn't just a pink puff ball, but a self absorbed singer..cute and appealing.
homie, you must be fricking moronic if you really think that lmao.
>homie, you must be fricking moronic if you really think that lmao.
Who the frick says "HAHA LE GRASS GATO XDDD" except you Hispanic furgays?
I'm Latino and on Ganker. What are you gonna do about it b***h boy?
You cant have a whole gen full of cool looking Pokemons, pepetard. It needs a good mix of all types.
If you can't grasp that idea (which has been around since Gen1), then you're a loss cause buddy.
You’re BROWN?
>I'm Latino and on Ganker. What are you gonna do about it b***h boy?
Laugh at your degeneracy and your periodical manic attacks about the gold Spaniards stole from you.
>You cant have a whole gen full of cool looking Pokemons
Why, the numales will cry that they don't have their obligatory Pikachu clone?
>cute and appealing
And this is why I gave up on Pokemon, even the people who criticize it are numales who want Pokemons to be hecking wholesome cute pokemoninos to hecking pet them.
>grass gato
It's curious how basically all coomer Pokemon fans are just south american untermensch.
>Frick originality give me something nice to look at.
What I said here
Literal battered wives.
Ugly and the gameplay is literally the same shit pokemon has done since the beginning, almost nothing new or interesting
Why are people calling palworld a ripoff?
There was a glut of Pokeclones (not monster battlers; these games were SUPPOSE to be alternatives to specifically Pokemon) when it came out, so everyone ignored them.
Between this game and palworld there's enough evidence to conclude pokemon is popular in spite of its gameplay and not as a result of it
The combat system is what holds it all together, there's a reason the moment a Pokemon game alters it the games underperform.
All pokemon gamplay clones have failed. Nobody wants to play pokemon.
The entire game is ugly. Shit gives me a headache if I stare at it for too long.
They/them failed because it's turn-based and slow as shit
Okay. Maybe not every unreleased title of Pokemon needs to get rid of turn based combat. But I think Palworld shows us that there is a demand action combat monster collection. I think we should have a Pokemon title that meets the demand.
pokemon conquest 2!!! pokemon conquest 2!!!
>I think Palworld shows us that there is a demand action combat monster collection.
Palworld shows there's people begging for an ARK that doesn't need an entire SSD dedicated to itself and that doesn't have the same bugs and graphics it had the day it came out.
>I think we should have a Pokemon title that meets the demand.
There was, it was called Legends Arceus, it was terrible.
It's fricking bizzare that Palworld despite its problems is less buggy than ARK was on its release. Hell I think it's less buggy than it is NOW.
Considering that Ark Ascended bricks PCs? Yeah...
>Palworld shows there's people begging for an ARK that doesn't need an entire SSD dedicated to itself and that doesn't have the same bugs and graphics it had the day it came out.
Nobody plays Palworld for the incredibly shallow survival crafting mechanics, there are dozens of games that do it better and see very little success. You have to be a fricking moron to believe so.
I find it harder to believe that people are playing Palworld to press the "pet" option in the context menu.
And Showdown mogs Unbound.
showdown is for gays.
I actually think that the shallow mechanics are what's helping the game be so popular. It's like a worse more accessible version of something better as far as the building mechanics go.
Think Skyrim, and how it's shallow as hell in every dimension, and yet the whole package was a massive hit.
I was so hyped when that movie came out.
A shame they never released the rest of the story.
>the rest of the story.
After Next Dimension the Olympus saga will finally come, the question is if he will live long enough to end it since his hands is fricked iirc or ask an artist to help with him doing just the story.
this too, I cant believe so many devs left money on the table by not making a low poly optimized version of Ark that you can run on a potato, even ark with settings as low as they can go is slow chunky shit on computers made of brazilium
>it was terrible.
Do it better next time.
Hell, I bought Pokemon Stadium thinking I could actually control them, biggest gaming disappointment of my entire life. Now if they toned down the survcrafting and designed an interesting world to explore then Palworld would be my fully ideal pokeclone.
Pokemon stadium is one of the most loved pokemon games of all time
stadium frickin sucks and is nigh impossible to complete with rentals, you were just a dumb kid impressed by 3d pokemon models
Almost like that's the literal point, you were supposed to bring your ingame team to have Pokemon with actually good stats and moves to stand a chance.
>DURR DASS DURR POINT
stadium is an incomplete game and its replayability is deeply damaged by the requirement of transferring caught pokemon from other games. Coliseum and Battle Revolution are far better games
>and its replayability is deeply damaged by the requirement of transferring caught pokemon from other games
Just like RGBY themselves? Whoa, who would've fricking thought?
Stadium is great just like Battle Revolution and Showdown are great, it focuses entirely on what matters, which is the battles, no open world slop to put up with.
Because it was cool to see your Red/Blue roster in 3D. I played the mini games more than the actual turn-based arena shit.
Bringing back Pokemon Stadium is literally the one thing that would get "Hardcore" (read: 30+ and childless) Pokemon fans to shut up.
>All Pokemon Available
>All gimmicks Available
>Built in Pokemon Home compatibility
>Breeding Facility
>Super Training Facility
>All tournament styles for online play
>Gym Leader Tower/Battle Frontier for solo play
>Buy outfits, items, and Pokemon eggs with in game currency earned from battling NPC and other players
Know that you gays are the ones for whom Scarlet and Violet was made for: minimal combat, focus on open world slop and filled with a ton of pointless time wasters and farming that had nothing to do with fighting.
>bruhh fr fr turn games do be obsolete n shieeeet why dis no be fornite fr fr
Didn't Final Fantasy XV and XVI teach you the lesson?
tell me your thoughts on the fricking nightmare that seems to be dq12
legit question if the next mainline is action based will this kill sales after all competitive pkm seems huge
Won't kill the franchise, but doubt it would sell, or even reach 10 million copies.
It's been tried and tested that turn based games do very well if the game is good.
It's just a matter of making an actual good game which pokemon doesn't care about as the games are just advertisements for merch
kinda feel sad GF has to make new pkm forever but it has to end at some point
Pokemon has a good combat system, the problem is that the games aren't nearly hard enough to force you to actually get into things like items, abilities, EVs, IVs and such.
Make all battles duo at least, balance the game so enemy trainers always have Pokemons 10 levels above yours and then give them teams like pic related. That's how you get casuals to get into the game instead of letting them get away with building teams of "cute" shitmons.
I don't think anything can kill Pokemon sales. People buy the games no matter what.
>Fill the entire roster with absolute semen demons
I will now play your game, The amount of pals I wouldn't frick I can probably count with 1 hand
You can almost see how brown the fingers that typed this are.
You wouldn't get it.
I get it.
Bless.
Naigad, my beloved.
>the average man is a furgay
Exact same cope zoomers eat up like when they say that all men are autistic beta cucks like them.
It's ok if you don't understand, there's no need for anger. I am simply on a higher plane
>a literal goat
>semen demon
Muslim detected.
I will not buy your game.
Yes, that would be the point, cutting out the fat of the Pokemon fanbase.
>Western Adults still assume that Pokemon was made for them, when the actual target audience is still 10 year old Japanese children.
And those casuals being the target audience are why the games are shit.
If GF had no option but to pander to compgays the franchise would be way better.
>"Pokemon is shit because it's aimed at kids" is somehow trolling
When did Ganker's IQ fall to the single digits?
I think it's more that you're demanding that a children's franchise be completely altered so you can play it as an adult.
It's like walking over to PBS and demanding that Sesame Street have profanity, sex, and politics or else you won't watch it.
Then Pokemon sure must not care that Palworld only targets adults right?
I wouldn't exactly call the people Palworld targets 'adults'
Palworld doesn't target adults, it targets the Pokemon audience, specifically the kind that have been exclusively playing Pokemon for so long that they think grinding and crafting mechanics are innovation.
I too miss that atrocious generation of movie games that, despite being some of the worst games in the franchise, had an entire legion of third world coomers defending them, just because of le waifus.
Until normalgay parents who can't tell the difference see the pokemon with AR15s and decide they're not buying that merch for their kids anymore
This is true, and going even further the pokemon games themselves are more or less glorified advertisements with a small cash bonus. They dont actually carw about the games much. Its more of a merchandise franchise similar to hello kitty
Have Japanese 10 year olds gotten dumber over the years?
No, iirc they hated the Sun and Moon anime with the artstyle trying to copy Yokai Watch and viewership got worse to the point they finally got rid of Ash.
>make every Pokemon abominations ala Monster Hunter
Anon, I....
>implying Pokegays are any clue what's going on in other monster collection games
They probably only saw the TerminalMontage videos on MonHun years ago and assume those were 1-to-1 drawings.
No, I say it because Monster Hunter has great designs and Pokemon should be based more on them than the homosexualry it's been for 4 generations now.
All you had to say was that you wanted Legends Arceus, but they have more realistic designs. Calling the monsters in a game that tries to pull off "what if dinosaurs and megafauna still existed" abominations makes it sound like you've never seen them before.
>The offensive capabilities of Pokemon range from being able to instantly blow up a house to causing a False Vacuum decay, what the frick is a human going to do against that
Throw a ball at it
>implying I wouldnt have sex with 90% of the creatures in monster hunter.
Sun and moon are some of the more difficult games though. But let's face it every pokemon is easy as frick if you decide to steamroll with your starter
>ala Monster Hunter
>He doesn't know
What do you say this like MH doesn't have tons of porn?
How can any grown man play games like these
All that is missing is mods and the game will maintain itself.
Why is the Fenglope boss inside the waterfall cave not spawning for me?
Maybe it bugged? I fell outside of the cave after I killed it. Maybe the same happened to it, or it maybe spawned on top of it or something.
Reload the game.
Kek palworld is killing nothing if they got that far is thanks to being compared to pokemon, if it wasn't it would have failed horribly, you homosexuals are so obsessed with the thought of a popular IP failing that you admire some horribly designed game.
>NOOOOOO IS THE 19M (and counting) PEOPLE THE ONES WHO ARE WRONG NOT ME AAAAAAAIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEE!!! SAVE ME NINTENDO!!!
>pokemon crossed with ark is successful because these two things alone are also successful
This isn't the gotcha moment you think it is, man. Nice bait tho, 6/10
>Kek palworld is killing nothing if they got that far is thanks to being compared to pokemon
That says more about the state of gamefreak than anything though
sex with dazzi.
I just wanna go back to the comfy Gen 7 days. Chickenposting was so good.
Gen 7 sucks
Frick off back to >>vp pokegay
I too hope Palworld adds more e-girls in the near future
I honestly don’t know why people would speak in defense of this Temu pokemon except to be contrarian
palworld isnt a pokemon game though. Like if I wanted to play a pokemon game, this scratches 0 itch, which is great, but this is Ark with Pokes.
PC gamers truly have terrible taste to eat up every single survival crafting slop that comes out
Palworld wasn't trying to outshine Pokemon.
They just wanted to make the game they wanted.
Pokemon Unbound mogs the shit out of mainline pokemon
If this doesn't motivate TPC/Nintendo into whipping GameFreak's ass until they hire a competent staff then nothing will.
Nintendo doesnt work that way. Japanese people generally dont work that way for better and worse
does yokai watch at least have some hot female humans?
Ha.
You guys do realize that all this is gaslighting, don’t you? The reason why Yokai Watch and TemTem are being brought up so much is because you said that they would kill Pokemon.
Palworld has not fallen off, because that would require it to actually be a thing to begin with.
>players
>it's already closing in on SV after only 2 weeks
Poke Sisters I'm shitting myself
Nobody was calling Palworld Pokémon killer until it started shooting up the wishlist rankings and then selling amazingly, it was always just Pokémon with guns before that
>the pokemon mod for ark still exists
what did they mean by this?
Are those using ripped models too?
it's because they're not asking for money, dumbass
Can you capture and store them in balls?
>Blaines types like a moron
oop
tem tem came out? i remember heariong about it but never heard if it actually released or not
People just want TPC to pull their fingers out and make a modern aaa pokemon game
the problem with those other 2 games is that they also were turnbased jrpgs, pokemon is a jprg, jrpgs are fricking boring, pokemon gets away with it because its pokemon but if you aint pokemon you aint gonna make it
How the frick is this allowed? This is literal Yakuza behavior. Is the Pokemafia really that insecure?
