I lived in SF for years. It's full of people with a young and stupid mentality that do things that they think seem cool because it makes people angry, the first of which in many cases was running away from home to SF. Eventually they have a society full of STDs, drugs and homelessness, being cool on the street like that drinking the leavings of drinks of people coming out of the club that still have jobs kind of place. A few of them make enough to be a porn or hollywood star in LA or game dev, other high end income, and insulate themselves from the real world with a bubble of money. Those people make these pretentious magazines and shit for no one, disconnected from real world concerns as to believe the world works like they were told it did in captain planet and reddit.

I don't get the impression that Lawrence is a very respectable, non self-aggrandizing publication. I actually thought this was fake before I looked it up.
