3d with a first person perspective and give them guns
There will never be a new smash game. Give it up.
smash run 2 is pretty much all I need
or maybe even a variant of it where you can go full roguelike with a procedurally generated endless map
supers like in fighting games
a new subspace emissary
One that mixes the universes with reasons for the characters to interact. Instead of Snake just showing up on the Halberd.
Smash is it’s own continuity, it takes place in someone’s imagination quite literally
didn't mario go to angel land.
Anyone else pumped for the HE'S IN meme threads?
Maybe a game that actually dabs more into mechanical depth and complexity and I don't mean this in tourneygay fashion "MAKE THE GAME COMPETITIVE!", but Sakurai has greatly toned down a lot of fun gimmicks in order to make the games the less tourneygay friendly as possible. It sucks not having more movement tech and not being able to play Ganon on ice anymore.
Other than that, I have been musing with the idea of whether it's possible to create a neutral heavy hit confirm based fighting game with Smash while keeping its king of the hill aspect.
Really minor, but they should change Xenoblade's series logo to something other than the monado. It's kind of an anachronism at this point, especially with Pyra and Mythra as playable characters, and if there's eventually more. Also Xenoblade should get an item.
A good game.
>new fighters
I'd take a completely new physics system and revamped movesets in exchange for a more focused cast of only 15-25.
Hand-made break the targets tests for each character
Decent netcode and separate ranked/casual modes. I miss For Glory
less fighters
We've had Everyone is Here apparently bosses didn't get the memo. I want every boss from Brawl and Ultimate and then some. Plus a unique platforming level for every single classic route (with reused assets, I'm not expecting unique textures and backgrounds for every level). Most are sidescrollers but some can be vertical like Pit and Samus.
Countering to have its own slot rather than using up the down special for like half the fighters
better physics, updated old characters, and a branching path adventure mode made from the different game series
i just want it to be as fast as melee. literally, all they have to do is release SUPER MASH BROS TURBO
Will never happen because Nintendo despises any competitive scene that they're not in control of, especially if it mainly attracts adults, because Nintendo is obsessed with keeping up appearances as a family friendly toy company.
even though they know mostly adult women play animal crossing and splatoon.
Bring back Custom movesets from Smash 4 (and please do not have them be unlocked in a moronic way)
cool on paper but a lot of them just became
>fast but weak
>normal
>slow but strong
or for the recovery
>large distance but doesnt deal damage
>normal
>small distance but deals more damage
i want it to be as fun as melee and brawl. trophies MUST be in the game, needs a good OST and art style
going 3d
A tighter roster
I think Sakurai deliberately overdid FE because he wanted us to get excited when the next Smash only has 30 characters
Dramatically reduce input latency and fix the broken buffering system
I don't need it to be Melee, I'm not a big fan of Melee. But it should run better than a twenty year old game
The 3 64 mini-games to come back. Melee's Arcade Mode.
Pokefloats
I want Sakurai dropped and the existing cast from Melee-Brawl to get new and reworked movesets, any character pre-smash 4 in Ultimate is like taking a fork to D-day
some anon had the idea of bringing back trophies and giving them the ability to be stage builder assets like the Great Fox as a base stage and also you can get a Arwing trophy and unlock arwings as a dynamic platform
also making custom break the target levels in stage builder
A game that fixes my health issues, my headache and my misery. Nothing's fun, only half a year ago I was having fun and myself.
I'd like to see assists and pokemon reworked into something other than a randomly spawning item, like how Ultimate added the meter-based Final Smash. I've noticed a lot of people get upset when a character they wanted is just a trophy, and I was thinking you could soften the blow if players were able to if players were able to bring their favorite summon to a match and manually call them.
It won't help, Rostergays will still complain.
Rollback/good online
I want ultimate with Rollback. Literally, just that. I don't care if there are new characters or stages. I want Ultimate with Rollback netcode. I used to be in the camp of "It can't be done with analog controls!" but replays exist within the Ultimate, and Slippi already did good rollback for Melee.
Give me Ultimate Deluxe on the Switch 2 with rollback, you fricking pieces of shit.
Why would analog inputs prevent rollback from working? Computers ultimately store analog values in binary just like everything else
>SHITdow
Make it like power stone
it would be interesting if there were more vehicles like Wario's motorcycle
final smash revamp - less powerful, meter based and more for each fighter (make it a separate button + direction for input)
more stage editor options - have nintendo stage themes and allow for singleplayer maps like break the targets or a small SSE style maps with placeable enemies
rideable DK animal buddy item powerups, xenoblade blade summon items. different ATs so they can add more of them
Meter doesn't make any goddamn sense in platform fighters where some charactets can literally run away the entire match and never be touched.
Me continuing to play Melee.
Just literally another game that does anything different
if Smash turned into tekken one day I wouldn't bat a fricking eye because I got 5 of these shittyass timeless party games at home that I can switch between whenever
Cool thing about video games is you can play them forever and if you're a boring frick you may eventually run out of brain juice to try and find new things to enjoy about the same old stuff
make it a traditional fighting game
Anything I’d want to add would just make the game goofier and more chaotic. So the smash community would reject it and they would ultimately never be used. Would love a 3D Power Stone option in the game.
Anything to upset the fans, really.
Single player, world of light was a step up from the nothing of the previous game but it's still no subspace
Also I think it would be cool to give each character a command move, make them all operate off the same DP gesture
technical stuff:
>waaay less input lag and buffer time
>an option to turn of the auto-short hop aerial input, also lower it's priority in the buffer queue or just don't treat it as a single input in the first place
>shield drops
>wave dashing/landing now has slightly less lag (still not as good as in melee)
>good netcode
cosmetic stuff:
>a bunch of echos/clones are now costumes instead
>better costumes overall
>give mewtwo his voice back
bonus:
>break the targets
>subspace
new fighters
Smash Run 2 (perhaps with multiple stages?)
Large characters (like Iron Giant in Multiversus) or some kind of Boss mode where one player plays as a boss while the others fight him.
New story mode, maybe.
If you want a complete rewamp, would be curious to see how a Fully 3D Smash looks like.
Some decent content. They don't even have to make new shit just bring back a good story mode (world of light sucked), break the targets, board the platforms, event mode, adventure and classic.
Rebuild Samus's moveset so she can actually compete worth a damn.
Oh and of course make a new and improved story mode where characters actually interact with each other.
Isn't Samus actually pretty good comp wise in Ultimate?
No, her only decent performance was in Melee. She is consistently much worse than Zero Suit Samus.
add an actual good story mode for once
also add a fricking e-girl already
Sheik Damage buff
Break the targets
Aren't tier lists completely meaningless when you play in other ways that just 1v1? Some characters excel the more opponents there are.
I want a feature to toggle game speed. I reckon that if they did, the competitive scene would be able to make a standard of like 115% game speed and make the more hardcore players happy. Plus I think it might be a good training tool; slow the game down 10% to get used to combo inputs, then speed it back up to normal. Or speed it up to like 50% to train so that you get better reactions.
An honest to god reboot.
>Roster of like 20 Nintendo characters, many getting new, more faithful movesets, either barely any, or no newcomers at all as a result (picrel is what I'd choose
>More balanced Final Smashes, kind of like supers in fighting games
>An adventure mode similar to Melee's
>Break the Targets for all fighters, like in 64 and Melee
>Smash Run
>More competitive in nature
There. The main people that would hate this are rostergays, but they're subhumans anyway.
Marth should be replaced by Byleth, Lucina, or Alear.
Or straight up whoever will be the face of the next FE game.
Depends on whether they're able to do something different with them, because half of FE's characters in Smash being Marth clones is unacceptable.
Well the way I see it, there's three options.
>Port Ultimate to every new Nintendo Console until the end of time or they become bankrupt, add a couple new characters with every port to sweeten the deal
>Smash 6 continues to play like every other Smash game, except with less characters
>Reboot the series, like I said earlier
>reboot
Stop it. Just stop.
Every character. Remade.
Decimate the roster size for all I care. I want things to be new.
Just add Goku.
A functioning online
Real mechanics
Removing all platformer elements
Removing all stage hazards
Give the characters proper HP
Make it a game that's not embarrassing
subspace/world of light
trophies
smash run was cool too, the ds version of 4 was better than the wii u version
Have it actually be a crossover game instead of being a giant asset dump
Better movement.
I really want some new stages. There have been a lot of Switch games that could make some good ones. Maybe actual single players or at least something repeatable.
Poke floats and the complete destruction of competitive play.
Make it even more of a party game. Not because that's what I'd want in it, but because that's what'll make meleegays seethe.
SMASH RUN NOT STUCK ON THE FRICKING 2DS
RETURN OF CHARACTER-SPECIFIC BREAK THE TARGET STAGES THAT FORCE YOU TO MAKE FULL USE OF THEIR ENTIRE ARSENAL TO GET GOOD TIMES
RETURN OF TROPHIES OR AT LEAST GIVE STICKERS/SPIRITS SHORT DESCRIPTIONS OF WHAT OR WHO THEY ARE AND WHERE THEY'RE FROM
