I am trying to find a good controller for PC but holy frick it's impossible
people complain that the dualshock and dualsense disconnect all the time, the xbox one drifts after a while regardless of use and in my personal experience the 8bitdo cable is shit
the frick do I even do, I just want to lay down and play old games in a comfortable manner
Ergonomics is very subjective but this was the best basic controller for my hands, unfortunately the revisions aren't as barebones and have wireless frickery and other bullshit I don't care about.
>people complain that the dualshock and dualsense disconnect all the time
Dualsense doesn't have this issue, DS4 does and even then I didn't have it happen on either of my DS4s despite both of them having MicroUSB issues with the headphones turning on and off. Also, you're very likely gonna play it wired since you're on a PC, just get a Dualsense.
Xbox isn't really an option because lolnogyro and the Xbone revamp of the controller is the worst thing they ever did to it while superior 360 controllers are typically more expensive now.
I bought this because it was the absolute cheapest option, I know it will break within 12-24 months but dualshocks aren't any better and I
R E F U S E
to use a gamepad with asymmetrical sticks.
I use this one, it has hold up more than 1 year and I usually play ARPGs which can wear out a controller pretty hard, you can adjust the dead zones, button mapping, volume and recalibrate it which is nice too.
Unfortunately I do, dear old friend. DirectInput support is a rarity these days and Xinput wrappers are finicky, especially if they're .dlls and you aren't playing abandonware.
how's the dualsense on PC?
my old original xbone controlled died and I'm using a pro controller in the meanwhile, but it kinda sucks. Also 14.5ms input latency MINIMUM.
I could get a new xbone, but I don't know nuffin about dualsense.
If you want the simplest to setup with the lowest input latency then I would recommend a xbox controller with the wireless dongle. That makes it use the 2.4 band over bluetooth.
>DSX
I really wish I could like it. I know the dev is working a lot on it and on the DualSense features, but everything about it is just terrible
No profiles, awful UI, new features are going to be paywalled
I've been using a DS3 with custom firmware to allow for pressure sensitivity with PCSX2. It's been having trouble staying connected lately and I'm wondering if I should finally replace it. Any ideas other than seeing if I can find a refurbished DS3?
I have a PS3 Sixaxis laying around.
Has support improved over the years or do I still have to install some bullshit that sinks its tendrils into the deepest rings of my operating system, and then can't ever be properly uninstalled?
My 8bitdo is good, except the dpad fricking sucks. The little shit is too sensitive on the left side and keeps inputing diagonally when I don’t want it to.
looks like a shit version of the dualshock 4
based as frick
>Mad Catz
>picrel
and people b***hed at me when I promoted chatpads on controllers for PC
Shut the frick up
Hori.
Better than 8bitdo
It looks like it’s laughing
AH FRICK SHIT
HURTS MY HANDS
I have a DualShock 4 which is overall very good but the cable disconnecting all the time is annoying.

HORI kids controller
You mean the mini wired?
Yeah

>Dualsense doesn't have this issue
is it because it uses usb c?
It's because DS4's cable port was cheap trash that wore down and broke in an instant.
yea but dualsense drifts
>want controller with some back buttons
>xbox core controller doesnt have them
are 8bitdo or gamesir controllers any good
>8bitdo
they're dogshit, the only good thing about them is their marketing team

It's all you need
but the dpad though
Fragile pos. Be ready to buy a wireless adapter a year after purchase and that will break in 1-2 years
Only once they fix the face buttons.
this is releasing in a few days and looks promising
Chink trash
>gamesir
>trash
they offer quality literally above official base controllers at a cheaper price, and they're xbox licensed
>unironically buying a product named good morning gamesir
kek
Mouse and keyboard
Imagine playing with a cucktroller

Let me gues, you need "more"
Unfortunately I do, dear old friend. DirectInput support is a rarity these days and Xinput wrappers are finicky, especially if they're .dlls and you aren't playing abandonware.
>square thumbstick gates
awful.
i mean theres really only one answer, wired 360 as a runnerup
wii u pro controller still undefeated
can't really go wrong with 8bitdo or dualshock 4

It's neat, but you'll have to rely on steam input or xinput wrapper. It's battery life is okay and I don't notice any lag through bluetooth.
If you want the simplest to setup with the lowest input latency then I would recommend a xbox controller with the wireless dongle. That makes it use the 2.4 band over bluetooth.
I use steam and DS4Windows
If you're using a dualsense I would recommend Dsadvance or DSX

Yeah I've moved to Dsadvance personally. It's easy to use and just works for my needs. DSX was fast at one point but he bloated the program too much.
Is there any wireless controller that has a decent D-pad? I have tried every playstation and nintendo controller, and all of them are dogshit.

this is overall the best quality controller I've ever owned, the Gulikit King Kong 2.
After years of pretending the DS4 is good. It's just not.
Been on my old DS3 since 2018, love it.
too small for my hands.
I have a PS3 Sixaxis laying around.
Has support improved over the years or do I still have to install some bullshit that sinks its tendrils into the deepest rings of my operating system, and then can't ever be properly uninstalled?
Nope.
Still a bunch of bullshit.
All you need is DSHiD Mini. Solves every problem.
DS3windows and SCP are dead. Good riddance.
My 8bitdo is good, except the dpad fricking sucks. The little shit is too sensitive on the left side and keeps inputing diagonally when I don’t want it to.
I also bought a SNES Buffalo controller for old games
I'm excited about the new xbone controller.
Gyro/removable battery and large form factor for non- manbaby hands
It's the same size as the series controller. I prefer the smaller size controller over the large fatass controllers xbox had prior.
Enter: Hypr chads
>the best controller STILL hasn't been posted
Short of dual flightsticks, this is unrivaled.
