Last Time, we managed to top our group on Fetus but we were one goal away from reaching elites. Sadly RNGesus wasn't in our favour so we are going back to fetus again now on the "newer" pes 17.
Feel free to suggest players to join in since if possible i would like to take like 2 weeks to listen to the most threads i can talk to before the one that does it for free strikes again and 1 week for the poll itself. I also would like to adress certain other issues.
If it were up to me, those who have ever been on the roster would be automatically added to the poll by default. Maybe list all of them in Google Docs or Google Sheets. Additionally for thread representatives in particular, since we restrict each thread to a maximum of one representative, if that particular thread wants to suggest a different representative (or simply change the name), remove the current representative from the list, and use that different representative for subsequent polls until that thread wants another representative instead.

It's already supposed to be like that, i forgot about a single one last time and i regret it, also i was actually going to restrict the threads to 3 suggestions at most(only 1 suggestion for each thread seems to be way too short for me) and do the roster poll without images, adding images to every player suggestion was a lot more work than you thing and probably an unnecessary one to have.
First of all the roster itself, does anyone feel like we should have more players related to the threads themselves, at least within the medals? Like at least Nokia could be representing the Java thread but "That's how mafia works" seems to really be a stretch since mobile ad threads were never popular within the board itself, i could just never allow him to become a medal but i would like some opinions on that.
On that note should we let one medal slot saved for the biggest threads on the board (that would probably be the Dokkan) instead of what we used last time with anons telling which threads they belong to being the deciding factor or should we use a separate poll to decide on the medals?
The main issue I have is that for some of the players it's not immediately obvious that they're representatives of a specific thread, because their names could very easily apply to most threads on this board. In particular, Login Everyday (Last Origin) and Do Your Daily Missions (Cookie Run) sound like they should be one player instead of two. I'd make it a requirement for players representing threads to make it clearer that it's a specific thread that they're representing, as in don't give them names that sound too generic. Alternatively, remove any connections to any particular game so the generic names can stay. EoS soon and Free Rolls for example are fine.
Conversely, That's how mafia works has the opposite problem, in that it's not listed as being representative of a thread, but it sounds like it is, and in my opinion it should be (of the mobile ads thread). I agree that he doesn't deserve a medal spot, though.

No need, if the biggest threads here can't vote their players in as medals on their own, either they don't care about 4CC to begin with, or they just consist of the same 2-3 people talking to one another. Either way, I wouldn't say that they deserve a medal spot. As to whether or not we should have a separate poll to decide on the medals, so far I'm on the fence on that.

Imo the apps displayed there should, with the exception of app store apps, all be mobile game apps, preferably those with threads on /vmg/. At the very least include games with thread representatives in there.

The first main problem was that it was more that the names themselves (Login Everyday, Do your dailes, etc) were chosen and not the models themselves, i chose to add the models as such because those names were so generic i had no idea how to make it work also representing the threads that barely made it in seemed logical enough.
That seems to be a good point to ask in here or in the poll itself if the fans want to see all the generic names out or at least most of them.
Asking the threads themselves for better in-game names seems good at first but not many of them are that creative with names, myself included, most of them just want to see the funny model play so they only suggest *insert character name here* and honestly who can blame them.
In that case, some generic login bonus or daily mission screen would have sufficed.
Come to think of it, anyone wanting to propose a generic name should also post how to represent it as a player on the team, ideally with an image, so that we don't have to go through all this again. Maybe we could make this a formal requirement.

As in players representing generic things like EoS soon, as well as players representing dead threads, or threads that only appear sporadically. So that more current threads could be represented. If That's how mafia works can still get in despite that, then we have no choice but to acknowledge it as board culture.

I would argue that any thread wanting to put forth a representative should be able to decide for itself who to submit as the representative, maybe with its own poll for example.

Slipping in my two cents for the continued presence of a LO represented teammate by adding that it's one of the few mobile games (it is, in fact, not a gacha) that has avoided its impending EoS and continues to defy the odds to this day, just reaching its 5th Anniversary, surviving for almost 2 years past its fated date.
That game has been courting death since its inception, being the Hail Mary of an incompetent and dying company, with the entire top brass basically dropping it without warning and taking half the employees with them to a new studio and leaving the rest of the staff to figure things out on its 3rd year, with all but the seniorest remaining staff calling it quits, into an 8-month hopeless doom and gloom death march, and then being bought out, and RECOVERING, and it's been astonishing watching it keep its head afloat for 5 years now by what feels like pure luck half the time. AND the new devs are as incompetent as the old ones, but it still chugs on.
On the chance that a LO rep character gets to stay, they could hold the banner of all the mobile games that are barely hanging on, as "EoS Evasion", or something to that effect. Some workshopping might be required.
It is also a legendary case of "Global Never Ever"; a global version has been in the talks since year 1, and it keeps coming up regularly in interviews, with news promised on this and that date, with no delivery, for 5 years now. It's a meme at this point.
I imagine it's not alone in that, either. "Global Never Ever".

Well, we have to at least prioritise threads with clear POI, we can agree on that right? But here it's just "as long as you can decide on a representative you can join", I think that should be more than enough leeway. The main reason why I'm against having more than one representative per thread is because that would split the votes. Well in that case there still shouldn't be anything to worry about because they'll only be deleting cup posts in other threads after deleting the football thread, which still means that anyone who'd have missed an in-house poll would also have missed the football thread. Also seems like not all posts got deleted from all threads last time round.

This relates to our girl Blind Princess; the turning point from LO's unstoppable downfall to a new rise for the game was an event figureheaded by her ("The Blind Princess and the Land of Fog").
The event was the newly rebuilt team's first event foray, and in short, it knocked it ouf of the park. Interesting plot, both new characters were great fun and well characterized, a wide range of the older cast members who hadn't gotten their chance to shine were given roles to good reception, so forth. Faith restored.
It was instantly launched into fan favorite status, both of its own merit and for sentimental reasons, and Blind Princess was unofficially crowned the savior of the game by a very happy veteran KR playerbase.
Everyone then proceeded to give her her dues as the 4th Miss Orca popularity contest rolled around, and she proceeded to win the whole thing in a record-breaking vote landslide in the finals, in a run-up that really was just a total princess story (I won't go into it here, couldn't do it justice within this post). Favorite status in her game cemented. Special place in the fanbase's heart unlocked. Good stuff.

Slipping in my two cents for the continued presence of a LO represented teammate by adding that it's one of the few mobile games (it is, in fact, not a gacha) that has avoided its impending EoS and continues to defy the odds to this day, just reaching its 5th Anniversary, surviving for almost 2 years past its fated date.
That game has been courting death since its inception, being the Hail Mary of an incompetent and dying company, with the entire top brass basically dropping it without warning and taking half the employees with them to a new studio and leaving the rest of the staff to figure things out on its 3rd year, with all but the seniorest remaining staff calling it quits, into an 8-month hopeless doom and gloom death march, and then being bought out, and RECOVERING, and it's been astonishing watching it keep its head afloat for 5 years now by what feels like pure luck half the time. AND the new devs are as incompetent as the old ones, but it still chugs on.
On the chance that a LO rep character gets to stay, they could hold the banner of all the mobile games that are barely hanging on, as "EoS Evasion", or something to that effect. Some workshopping might be required.
It is also a legendary case of "Global Never Ever"; a global version has been in the talks since year 1, and it keeps coming up regularly in interviews, with news promised on this and that date, with no delivery, for 5 years now. It's a meme at this point.
I imagine it's not alone in that, either. "Global Never Ever".

). Can elaborate more on each of them. I have no idea where to find 3D models to present as candidates though, this is all alien stuff to me.

i feel like this would be playing into me choosing which threads are "worth it" enough to join the team and i don't like that, the more threads interested in divegrass the better
they do and when they find it they hunt down everything else cup related within the board, it happened last time too
Well, we have to at least prioritise threads with clear POI, we can agree on that right? But here it's just "as long as you can decide on a representative you can join", I think that should be more than enough leeway. The main reason why I'm against having more than one representative per thread is because that would split the votes.
Well in that case there still shouldn't be anything to worry about because they'll only be deleting cup posts in other threads after deleting the football thread, which still means that anyone who'd have missed an in-house poll would also have missed the football thread. Also seems like not all posts got deleted from all threads last time round.
and then there is our stadium, idk if i'm going to be able to do this, besides having to make this in a unfamiliar version of pes i don't have as much time to spend on the team as much as i used to but according to the previous poll this is pretty much all ideas shared in there combined into one, so would you like this idea to become our stadium?

i forgot to mention in the LO thread but i prefer to have better in-games this time around rather than *insert character name here*, about the models itself, i usually get them from here https://db.bepis.moe/koikatsu/view/172362 and hope i'm lucky to find the right one so that our co-manager are able to convert it into PES, otherwise you're probably just getting a jpeg moving around the pitch since it's very hard to create a new model from stretch.

I feel that the poll for goalkeepers should be done separately from that for outfield players, but that could be just me. Although allowing us to edit our submissions would definitely be nice to have.

I did say to cap the number of them, but removing them altogether opens up a whole new can of worms. Mainly because EoS soon is also a generic name.

i was only referring to those mentioned in the question itself since personally, they don't really mean nothing for the board, almost every other player can easily be linked to other threads. and honestly, idk what to with them aes wise
For goalkeepers, sometimes the name plays a part. I feel that THE WALL at least has a more suitable name for a goalkeeper than those two.

Yeah, but that can easily be misinterpreted as including EoS soon. Aesthetics wise, maybe leave it to a vote to decide which gacha game's login screen, free rolls screen etc to use? Make it a different game for each of them, and ideally no game can be represented for two consecutive cups.

To help our girls, I'm gonna add some more lore here relating to what I said earlier at

This relates to our girl Blind Princess; the turning point from LO's unstoppable downfall to a new rise for the game was an event figureheaded by her ("The Blind Princess and the Land of Fog").
The event was the newly rebuilt team's first event foray, and in short, it knocked it ouf of the park. Interesting plot, both new characters were great fun and well characterized, a wide range of the older cast members who hadn't gotten their chance to shine were given roles to good reception, so forth. Faith restored.
It was instantly launched into fan favorite status, both of its own merit and for sentimental reasons, and Blind Princess was unofficially crowned the savior of the game by a very happy veteran KR playerbase.
Everyone then proceeded to give her her dues as the 4th Miss Orca popularity contest rolled around, and she proceeded to win the whole thing in a record-breaking vote landslide in the finals, in a run-up that really was just a total princess story (I won't go into it here, couldn't do it justice within this post). Favorite status in her game cemented. Special place in the fanbase's heart unlocked. Good stuff.
