Soul
>he uses the blacktail
trash gun
pockets
don't need no broken butterfuck when you got the bolt action that does just as much damage but you actually get ammo for it.
>trash
Blacktail is the best handgun
it's less accurate than the Red 9 and does less damage, it can't penetrate like the Punisher, and it doesn't have mega crits like the silver ghost. Literally only thing it does is shoot fast which the Punisher already does.
>Need
I like Broken Butterfly because it's fucking cool.
fair enough my mane, I think the Handcannon is a little cooler myself but I don't feel like unlocking it again since it takes me forever to get 5 stars as ada, she sucks so much shit it's unreal.
Handcannon is boring since it just one shots everything with infinite ammo. Plus it looks retarded.
it only one shots with infinite ammo once you upgrade it you dweeb other wise it has limited ammo and doesn't quite one shot everything, it does less damage than a fully upgraded Broken Butterfly until I believe it's 4th firepower upgrade.
>Talking about non-upgraded
Who cares. besides it still looks gay. Like some range toy.
*presses the auto-sort button*
nothin personal kid
That must be a heavy inventory with all those weapons, how does leon carry it?
>Faghammer shotgun
>No Broken Butterfly
Trash
>soul
>HD-texture pack
kys
this retarded played the downgraded ps2 port
Who said anything about PS2? If you didn’t play the original gamecube version, you didn’t play the game.
ngl thats pretty cringe no cap
Call me retarded if you must, but it took me 2 playthings to stop storing my herbs next to each other.
Fuckin accidental double greens.
Very good but the lack of eggs detracts from the overall score.
bassed
wait...wtf?
Hey guys, did this person try to spell "based" (our common Ganker lingo) or was he try to spell the word "bass"?
Honestly I'm not really sure what to say here anymore. Can anyone help clear this up for me?
trying too hard
Wait, why did you say that? Trying too hard to do what exactly?
how many fishes can you catch in a single playthrough?
I don't remember if it's exactly infinite because I am not sure if the ones at the lake respawn but you can get at least 10 of the large bass and about 25ish small bass. In the room before the hardest puzzle in gaming there's 3 large and 5 small bass iirc and at the lake there's a fuckload,
Are you Portuguese?
what a load of carp
Is ptas short of pesetas or putas?
Red9 is best gun.
Where do I get mods that actually work with the Steam version, almost every mod I see says it only works with 2007 Ubisoft
Most of the mods for the 2007 version will work with the steam version you just need to take some extra steps, something to do with lfs file extensions and some other shit I can't remember but you can check the residentevilmodding forums for more info.
There are some that are entirely incompatible without some major work but since most of those are made by brazilians you are kind of shit out of luck without any experience making mods yourself.
Man I wish I had a pic of how my ps2 version inventory looked. All 3 rocket launchers, striker, red 9, typewritter, rifle semi auto ammo, nades, healing, golden eggs.
on my original gamecube copy I have a save where my inventory is full of nothing but Incendiary grenades. Don't know what I was thinking as a child but it sure was a good meme.
NTSC GameCube's balance
- Ammo drops significantly more often and Pesetas drop less often
- The Knife does 60% less damage
- The TMP does 30% less damage to Ganados and 25%% more damage to El Gigante and Krauser
- The Red9, Blacktail, and Rifle exclusive upgrades are weaker
- The Semi-Auto Rifle's exclusive upgrade is stronger (0.4 vs 0.8 firing speed)
- The Handgun exclusive upgrade is stronger (50% crit chance vs 33% in UHD)
- Matilda has a slower rate of burst fire, lower firepower, and slightly faster reload speed
- Mine Thrower mines take 2 seconds longer to detonate
- The Merchant's First Aid Spray stock is not dynamic
- First Aid Sprays, Treasure Maps, the TMP, and Mine Thrower are more expensive. Striker and Killer7 are cheaper.
- The Shotgun is more expensive to fully ugprade.
- Flash grenades don't instakill Las Plagas wolves
- U3 takes full damage from magnum weapons (vs 50% in UHD)
- Regenerators take 33% more damage from everything but the Knife
Striker, in the original version you had to wait until at least chapter 4-3 to start upgrading it. In later versions they allow you to tune up as soon as the Striker is available in the sewers before Verdugo.
The way item drops work in the GC version of RE4 is interesting. There are no individual weapon ammo caps, so you can get more than 25 shotgun shells, 15 magnum ammo, and 10 mines at a time. Instead the game caps you at a generic 150 'BulletPoint' value based on the sum of your inventory. The drop rate on magnum ammo and grenades is also much higher--you can do some funny things with just a handgun and a Broken Butterfly in your inventory.
I was wondering why I remember being able to use whatever gun I wanted when I first played RE4 and on the modern PC port I seem to get buckets of handgun rounds even if I didn't have one in my inventory.
You also left out the cutscenes thing, in the original GC version the cutscenes are all in engine and you can see the costumes in them aswell where in the PS2 and future ports they are just video files (this is most noticeable in the knife fight) I never quite understood why it was lazily ported over as video files for every single port since only the PS2 version really needed to save space and the processing power. Even the Wii playing the GC version is fine yet the wii version itself looks worse and still has all the weird PS2 things in it.
Modern ports at least have in-engine cutscenes.
Unfortunately, though, if there was ever any data kept for Seperate Ways' cutscenes aside from the low res video captures, it's long gone.
Does HD project restore GCN assets?
>- Flash grenades don't instakill Las Plagas wolves
Wait they die to flash grenades lmfao
I started on Cube, I swear it's always been this way?
>Eternal Darkness
Based. And great collection.
I'm pretty sure that only works in re5.
Every time RE4 gets a port, something new is broken
GC –> Wii — Lower polygon count inventory items from PS2 port
Wii –> 360 — Broken and missing effects, bad mapping conversion for ALL the models of the game, missing sound reverb effect.
360 –> UHD — Animation and sound issues, black pickup screen, bad optimization with lots of performance issues in some computers
The PS4 version is just copy-paste of the “HD textures option” from PC Ultimate HD. Only a few extra character textures were improved for PS4/Xone.
Also some enemies behavior issues if I’m not mistaken. But I’m not sure in which port…
Still aside of resolution the GC/Wii are the best versions. It has the best color palette and lightning and have bloom to the fire effects.
Resident Evil 4 HD Project removes terrible looking PS2 version assets.
https://www.re4hd.com/?p=5281
>WEAPONS and other item MODELS: The models used for all post-Gamecube versions have less polygons than the original Gamecube version. It seems they kept (perhaps by accident?) the low-poly versions from the PS2 port of the game. I restored and even improved all of these models. There is a limitation with these models that crashes the game if the file size of certain files are larger than the original, but I found that there is some dispensable data that can be removed from the .bin files (the 3D models), and even entire .bin files that are unused in-game
The PS2 version really fucked up everything else. The GC to Wii transfer doesn't even make sense. You can play Resident Evil 4 ON WII, it's backward compatible, why did they need shitty quality assets? And using that bad base fucked the subsequent versions. Why didn't they just use the Gamecube version?
Only thing I can think of is because the PS2 version had more content it was default considered the better version, it also seems like most people only played the PS2 version so removing said content would piss them off.
So now the PS2 version is the baseline and adding in the GameCube assets would mean they would actually have to work which you can't do when making a port.
Ah yeah, nevermind I'm retarded. That makes perfect sense now.
It was a cool side mode but I could do without. Assignment Ada too.
Only Separate Ways uses PS2 assets in modern ports
I'm playing through the game for the first time using the HD project and its been a blast. Is there anything wrong with this version?
Major changes no, it's just that there's a ton of minor changes from the OG to the newest one to the point where if you played the OG a lot some things will be off.
I'm gonna go ahead and give this game one more playthrough while it still exists.
Going to suck when the remake overwrites it.
Two handguns? Huh?
>2 pistols
>no tpm
>a stock but no gun for it
>granades and healing everywhere
>punisher and blacktail
very subtle bait
I think you need to look again because that's 2 punishers homie
Not enough upside-down items
