mgs2 had an ending.
MGS2 literally ended on the same exact cliffhanger as MGSV with Liquid Ocelot stealing a Metal Gear. It actually had to be intentional. And people sent Kojima literal death threats to make MGS4 because of that.
Thematically both games have an ending that matters much more than the loose plot thread. It’s like they learned nothing, they just watched a youtube video on why MGS2 is good now and why MGSV is bad and called it a day.
MGS2 didn't end with a cliffhanger, you missed the whole point of the game. There wasn't supposed to be a sequel
