IIRC Aonuma himself had no opinion of a potential TP2, it was mostly just assorted devs that wanted to keep working with TP's world or something like that.
ALBW still has a lot of unanswered questions that will probably never be resolved like how did Lorule and the alternate Triforce come into being and why it resembles the Dark World so much despite the DW having it's curses removed and turning back to the Sacred Realm at the end of LttP.
Aonuma is a terrible producer honestly. I know I don't want to necessarily milk things until it falls apart, but a producer shouldn't shit on the fanbase and others while proclaiming only their nostalgia is what made older games relevant and that their open world content is the worthwhile stuff to bother with now.
There's the story about Miyamoto asking his team for TP sequel or spinoff ideas and shooting down tons of them for being too good/complex (apparently wanting fricking..Crossbow Training-tier sideslop). In another timeline, we got a lot of spinoff hyrule games that actually made use of the interesting side characters and worlds instead of just hyrule warriors.
Hell Omega Force wanted to make an actual adventure game with Hyrule Warriors but Miyamoto told them to make it a straight Musou instead. Wonder how that would have turned out.
>Hell Omega Force wanted to make an actual adventure game with Hyrule Warriors but Miyamoto told them to make it a straight Musou instead
what the frick is miyamotos problem
I dunno. Could you actually even make a full game using the budget that Crossbow Training got? Why would Miyamoto suggest a Wii Zapper game otherwise? He clearly had a minuscule budget in mind from the start.
He does like small, simple experiences and the toy/peripheral aspect of the consoles and saw dollar signs in that gun idea.
But then if he knew he only wanted to use a small budget, it's weird of him not to just ask the team for "small, light experiences with the IP that showcase a peripheral" precisely so no one wastes their times conceptualizing and pitching mid to full length games full of lore, characters and features instead of stuff more in line with a minigame gallery. IIRC everyone was initially looking at it like they were going to work on a Majora's Mask style asset flip sequel. He'd get any budget he wanted given the sales of TP at the time.
The only thing I can see being the case, if he knew what he wanted from the start, is maybe he didn't want people to restrict their creativity too much by setting the scope so low. But it's still honestly a fricking waste of time and poor communication with them even then, especially in light of the resulting game we got, he would have been better off just being realistic with them.
Maybe he just failed to elaborate and assumed that the team would know what he wanted based on the "side story" thing. And then when he returned to check up on them, he went back to check up on them, they were having all these huge ideas and he realized that he failed to explain what he meant properly.
It's funny knowing Majora's Mask went to all the trouble of actually giving one note npcs from Ocarina personalities and conflict making them probably the deepest characters in Zelda canon....but it's also based off Ocarina so many of these characters are like old people and seedy types and one 35 year old in a onsie.
Kind of crazy how nintendo can have a single game with npcs with interactive and interesting stories, treat the concept as a gimmick and never reuse the same system of npc story quests again.
I feel like that's been an industry staple for years, but nintendo just refuses to make it a core component of npc interaction in the zelda franchise despite having done so already 23 years ago.
I wouldn't be surprised if they're leery about letting other female characters distract from the titular Zelda, that's the sort of stupid eastern-Disney shit Nintendo does
I mean I guess Wind Waker tried but after that they stopped giving a frick. Nobody even has a schedule anymore (Unless you count BotW but they are literally just randos made with a Mii face generator)
I don't know how to describe it. They have names and faces but I serious cna;t remember a single fricking person form BotW who wasn;t in a cutscene.
I like how Ilia seemed slightly apprehensive about Link leaving the village. She probably somehow understood that if Link ever got a taste of the greater world, he probably wouldn't be able to keep himself from going out in the world.
I dunno, but Impa looks drastically different pretty much every game. Of the recurring characters, her design probably changes more than even Ganondorf
I liked all the design in hyrule warriors.
it's the highest quality zelda has ever looked. I was hoping for a new game in the same art style and then they just shit out BOTW which looks even worse than the N64 games.
I hate that the most interesting band of characters in Zelda history only appears once in the game and you can no longer find them during the end game segment (atleast, that's how I remembered it).
Here I was, about to agree with you, then you posted a sexualised image of her. She is child coded, you're not supposed to view her romantically unless you're actually a child while playing the game. Therefore I heartily declare, you will be flayed alive.
Honestly I don't remember anything about the game anymore, just these girls. Link like...becomes a dog and uhhhhhh that imp with a big ass turns into a lady and I think there was a metrosexual guy who went Looney Tunes?
I would stop jacking off for a whole month for a Twilight Princess sequel. Everytime I want to, I would probably eat food instead.
I'll add my nofap to this. Where's the petition?
If Nintendo was based they'd do it but unfortunately Aonuma is cringe.
I thought Aonuma wanted to make one but Miyamoto told him no?
and we got links crossbow training instead
IIRC Aonuma himself had no opinion of a potential TP2, it was mostly just assorted devs that wanted to keep working with TP's world or something like that.
I wish they would keep working with a game's world, it worked out well for ALBW and TOTK.
ALBW still has a lot of unanswered questions that will probably never be resolved like how did Lorule and the alternate Triforce come into being and why it resembles the Dark World so much despite the DW having it's curses removed and turning back to the Sacred Realm at the end of LttP.
>devs of TP wanted to make TP2 because they loved the world so much
>...everyone except Miyamoto and his lapdog Aonuma
take the fricking franchise away from these people already, holy shit.
Aonuma is a terrible producer honestly. Unfortunately a sequel would only ruin the line of TP
Zelda is dead now anon. Let it sleep.
Telma's a close second
The fishing girl's cute too.
>those tired eyes
she's perfect
Literally who?
so many wasted characters in these games, its a shame
This
Also this
Pisses me off when games have 10/10 designs that amount to nothing.
Tales of Xilia does that too.

this image really fricks with me, the low poly look almost makes it look ai generated and as if the characters are bleeding into each other

i too felt a certain kind of way about this girl. the steel corset.. the bangs.. the depressed eyes..
Iliabros...
I like how Ilia seemed slightly apprehensive about Link leaving the village. She probably somehow understood that if Link ever got a taste of the greater world, he probably wouldn't be able to keep himself from going out in the world.
For me it's the bombchu girl
Best? No. Criminally underrated? Absolutely.
TP is so full of great designs, I haven't found anything from the series interesting since except Linkle
I like what they did with Impa in SS, but aside from that I agree, TP was the most recent peak
>Impa in SS
She was interesting but why the frick are her proportions so AYY LMAO.
I dunno, but Impa looks drastically different pretty much every game. Of the recurring characters, her design probably changes more than even Ganondorf

it really did
People (rightfully) focus on Midna but the game has some excellent women
Y'all have ugly taste
I like Linkle and Cia/Lana more.
I hate that the most interesting band of characters in Zelda history only appears once in the game and you can no longer find them during the end game segment (atleast, that's how I remembered it).
i want pepper0 to draw her
nah
I really like her even though she feels like the normalgay choice
My people. She was my first real crush growing up.
for me its medli
Here I was, about to agree with you, then you posted a sexualised image of her. She is child coded, you're not supposed to view her romantically unless you're actually a child while playing the game. Therefore I heartily declare, you will be flayed alive.
gay
>goth swordswoman
YES
never played a zelda game before but i read the twilight princess manga a while ago and that ending sucked ass
is that how the game ends
the frick
>is that how the game ends
Yes and no.
Honestly I don't remember anything about the game anymore, just these girls. Link like...becomes a dog and uhhhhhh that imp with a big ass turns into a lady and I think there was a metrosexual guy who went Looney Tunes?
I love her
All these top notch girls, so little porn
There's probably more porn of toon link getting rimmed by moblins than of all these girls combined
>Have a swordswoman with a fricking rocket launcher
>don't make her playable in hyrule warriors
BULLSHIT
what is tendies obsession with butt frick ugly side characters?
Ummmmm shouldn't you be making an Aloy thread sweetie
Nintendo has nothing to do with it
