anon this video is the equivalent of a 30 year old saying how The Berenstain Bears Go To School is the worst in the series because it has the worst story and artstyle. In either example doesn't matter how right they are, theyre still autistic manchildren who shouldn't be taken seriously
but i like gen 2, so he's wrong. the only problem with it is the level curve, but if youre not some ADHD zoomie, then you have no problem taking your time to beat the game.

my personal least favorite is gliscor, they ditched the facehugger-like design in favor of a more generic bat-like pokemon
ditto never needed an evolution, i dont even know why it was being considered. the bellsprout split looks stupid, and not even belossom needed to exist. overquill and sirfetch'd both look a lot better than these evos do. neutral on the pinsir one, but because scizor has the same BST as scyther, i don't know why they didn't just make heracross an evo to pinsir in the first place. neutral to the tangela one.
Masuda not letting Morimoto - a gameplay guy - take over after Gen 4, driving the series into the ground by filling it full of story in the next Gen that literally goes against what Gen 4 gave us and then taking a waifu and story gay on as a protege and letting him replace him and letting an American cartoonist not just be on the design team but take over as lead when he caused the previous one to frick off to making gacha because he was so tired of reigning in Masuda's moronation.
There is no greater Pokemon-related robbery than Beta Remoraid and Octillery since the final versions basically miss the fricking point of their designs/concepts.
final remoraid looks better on account of looking like an actual fish while also keeping the gun motif
octillery, on the other hand, was completely massacred
i wonder what the actual intention was with this. was it really a beta design or was it a placeholder? maybe it was just a joke by the dev team. it certainly is more ominous than the final design. is there any fanart that takes this design and tries to make it look less like a placeholder?

The original Remoraid was also somewhat of a reference to a Pulseman enemy.
