What do you mean 12 year old game? Skyrim Ultra Giga Monthly Edition just came a week ago.
In fact, I've already used your credit card to buy it for you, you're welcome.
Bethesda can't innovate good game design so they have to innovate the further shitting up of the gaming industry. Presenting the latest from the minds in Bethesda: strategically killing a game by ruining the fun of the modding community!
they could have a random grunt check his old asset folders, add some stats to some beta version of a pistol, add some lights and a sound effect, all while on his break mind you, and rake in insane amounts of cash.
>it's a test bed for paid mods
Bro paid mods are already a thing and has been a thing for years, that's what what their Creation Club2.0 was, both Skyrim and FO4 have them, Starfield will get it somewhere in future.
Don't forget, the reason they made the Special Edition a whole separate product was to enforce the CC program along with double dipping for sales. Explicitly making mods for the original release incompatible.
This was always planned. After Gabe gave them the boot, they figured they'd do a slow burn as old people aged out and more kids started playing, kids that expect to spend money on homespun garbage for every little thing they think they need.
it was done a while ago, but now that they feel it's safe, they're double dipping by relaunching it for like the third time without any pretense.
Ultimately they want to convert their latest entries into a locked down subscriotion service they generate endless money on. They have full control and can alter the terms and prices at any time, and break their own products to enforce it.
You will own nothing.
>it's a test bed for paid mods
Bro paid mods are already a thing and has been a thing for years, that's what what their Creation Club2.0 was, both Skyrim and FO4 have them, Starfield will get it somewhere in future.
Because they view the people that use their products with disgust and contempt.
Apparently this also breaks all current mods? I can't imagine the guy maintaining the script extender is happy either. They can charge $200 for access and immediately kill all modding, or make thousands skimming off the top for $10-20.
Jews.
Todd actually said he wanted all of the Oblivion DLC (apart from the two expansions) to be free like the Morrowind ones, but that Xbox refused to let them publish free DLC on 360.
Yeah im 100% sure he definitely intended them to be free. The horse armor that serves no purpose DEFINITELY couldnt have been rolled into one of the expansions with no increase to the price
Nope, pure accident, no way around it.
remember how no enemies rode horses?
how there was no mounted combat at all?
I've played bad games before, especially on the saturn and playstation 1, but oblivion was the very first that actively felt like someone selling you a piece of shit car after having it detail cleaned, changing the tires, and rolling the odometer back.
It's even dumber in Skyrim because no one can horse combat on horses BUT YOU CAN BUUUT IT ALSO SUCKS >what about the rieklings
The rieklings on boar back are a single model
they could copy paste the code 1:1 and legally be fine. There might be some mentally ill losers who would screech but most people wouldnt even know whatt hey are talking about.
They probably have some other reason why they dont just do it themselves.
And this is why I still play oldrim.
Frick the Special Edition. I don't need shit breaking at random whenever Bethesda decides they want to add another stupid thing to the game.
i don't understand. they added a mod to the base game? and it costs 6 dollars? where? did they add an ingame shop? paid mods is something that existed for a while now, right?
remember the mini dlcs in oblivion like horse armor or the ones that added spell tomes or like 1 questline and a house?
bethesda has a program now to outsource that that's like 'hey modder, we'll pay you a thousand dollars to make some shit for us and we'll sell it as dlc'
Paid mods was a controversy like 5 or 6 years ago. Some modders want to get paid, yeah it sucks but whatever. If the value isn't there then it won't sell. People are hating Bethesda for giving modders a platform where they can get paid for their mods? That doesn't bother me one bit. You guys go ahead and be angry I guess.
As someone who was on the old Betheada forums for like 8 years, there were constant threads about guns should be in TES and they got plenty of support too
I was in those forums. No it wasn't, you moron gaslighting moron. The only people that wanted guns are oblivion morons that invaded the lore section of the forum. It was heavily anti gun there.
What the frick. THIS is what they broke Skyrim for? THIS??? Skyrim has functioning cyborg ARM CANNONS. Laser pistols, pretty much everything from Star Wars integrated into a mod where you storm frigging star destroyers. Standard guns, crossbow launchers...
It's only light on firearms if you're too stupid to mod.
...which I suppose is the core market for this shit. I'm so fricking sick of it all.
pretty cool technically but >gay tactimilsimcool gloves >spazzy animation and camera moving everywhere to show off
I fricking hate viewmodel animator homosexuals, they're such fricking own-fart-smelling posers.
They're hoping consoomes forget. Which they usually do considering shit like battle passes and always online are the norm now even tho everyone raised a stink when things like Diablo 3 or Simcity 4 tried it years ago.
...why? Special Edition was supposed to be the last update, modders were finally comfortable and not having to worry about another update fricking things up
i was thinking about replaying skyrim recently >check steam library >Skyrim original edition
shit i never paid for the dlc and the torrents are on a long lost hdd
Whatever ill just buy them >Dawnguard $19.99 >Dragonborn $19.99 >Skyrim Special edition $39.99
That Black person todd really wants me to buy Special Edition huh
Does it function like a bow and arrow/ranged attacks in the game? You just aim and fire? And if you get a crit you just watch the bullet travel in slow motion towards the target? Archery was always one of the more popular forms of combat/ways to play the game, but it's VERY boring and overpowered. Magic is overpowered as well but at least it was more creative/fun. Stealth archery is even more boring as you can one shot everything from a distance, at least playing as like an assassin felt a bit more engaging as you had to get up close to the targets to slit their throats, though even that was broken as well. Frankly any form of combat/playstyle was broken in Skyrim, but I always found melee to be the most fun/engaging next to magic. It was nice getting a decapitation animation or just defeating an enemy in a melee fight and finishing them off with an animation kill, you even had to unlock decapitation in the game after investing so many skill points into swordsmanship. Magic had some cool animation kills, like reducing someone to a pile of ash or knocking them back with a spell and what not.
This is beside the fact that Bethesda know they're a garbage company hiring garbage people, outsourcing product development to amateurs and fans and then taking their cut for it.
Jesus fricking Christ, why do they keep trying to force the paid mod thing. Do modding for fun, or frick off. It’s not a career. I like Virt-a-Mate, but literally all modded content worth a shit is behind paywalls. It’s miserable.
This makes me feel glad that alot of my other modded games let me stay on previous versions, like Starsector and Terraria. I don't know what I'd do if tmodloader didn't give me the ability to defer updates, so I could enjoy older versions with heavy amounts of mods.
Lol. this is just a practice run for what theyre about to do with starfield btw. creation kits going to be a paid DLC with always online DRM, mods will have to be submitted to creation club or get DMCAd. you didn't really think microsoft was gonna let the free modding thing go on forever, fid ya? Lmao
tbf this is more Zenimax trying to maximize profits than a BGS decision
The oarent company is probably worried that Starfield DLC won't be profitable after the poor reception of the base game
>horse armor releases, everyone flips shit >years later cosmetic DLC is commonplace >bethesda tries paid mods, everyone flips shit >years later they try again and no one cares
Why did they even bother doing this for a 12 year old game?
Its their most popular one
What do you mean 12 year old game? Skyrim Ultra Giga Monthly Edition just came a week ago.
In fact, I've already used your credit card to buy it for you, you're welcome.
Thank you todd sama you are the best
Hey Todd, how does it make you feel that the last and only time I bought something from you was over 13 years ago?
Arigato, Todd-sama.
It has more concurrent players than starfield
To frick with mods and modders. Skyrim has to die, it's cutting into Starfield sales.
Bethesda can't innovate good game design so they have to innovate the further shitting up of the gaming industry. Presenting the latest from the minds in Bethesda: strategically killing a game by ruining the fun of the modding community!
>skyrimVR hasnt beem updated since ever
based todd culling inferior versions
>Bethesda resorting to forced obsolescence
lol
the game was re-released 17 times.
they could have a random grunt check his old asset folders, add some stats to some beta version of a pistol, add some lights and a sound effect, all while on his break mind you, and rake in insane amounts of cash.
Skyrim has the highest playerbase still of any game. And their research probably showed that their modding scene is the most active still
On Nexus there's more Skyrim mods than all other games put together. Skyrim is synonymous with game modding at this point.
Again it's a test bed for paid mods. Heard they're trying to go the Roblox route. It'll suck for sure.
>it's a test bed for paid mods

>This was always planned.
I'm telling you it wasn't "planned" because it's was already DONE years ago, you're crying about old news.
it was done a while ago, but now that they feel it's safe, they're double dipping by relaunching it for like the third time without any pretense.

Jews.
SKSE devs and adress library guy were hired by bethesda and already updated it, address library will be out later as HDT SMP
Outta spite for the bad reviews
>Starshit flopped so hard that todd had to crawl back to skyrim and resume scamming people with paid mods
Its both tragical and comical
reminder that bethesda were the reason this shit ever started in the first place.
Guess someone never played mechwarrior on Xbox
No one did lol that's the point
But lots of people played Oblivion
That would be EA milking The Sims shortly after acquiring Maxis. The Livin' Large "expansion pack" (proto-dlc) was the end of gaming as we knew it.
Nope you need to look back further to GTA: London 69
Honestly i dont think anyone played it
Todd actually said he wanted all of the Oblivion DLC (apart from the two expansions) to be free like the Morrowind ones, but that Xbox refused to let them publish free DLC on 360.

The rieklings on boar back are a single model
that's so fricking lazy
damn
Hasnt there been gun mods for years? Why is this special?
JUST FRICKING BUY IT
Bethesda is fricking dead. Just like Bioware and Blizzard.
out of those companies, only blizzard was ever good. and that was before world of warcraft
I like pre-WOW Activision more as well, but Bethesda and Bioware definitely had good games in their past as well.
wake me up when they release a fully integrated LoversLab framework with ShapeAtlas for Men and More Nasty Critters
and ATF mods of course
What is funny is that there are already multiple gun mods done better available for free
>adds shitty new creation club items
>completely fricks up everyone using mods again by forcing Script Extender updates
Fricking NIggesda
The fact that bethesda refuses to fricking do the script extension shit themselves is why I refuse to play their games.
What's the legality of that? Would they have to pay the SE team? But the SE team is simply adding code to Bethesdas engine
they could copy paste the code 1:1 and legally be fine. There might be some mentally ill losers who would screech but most people wouldnt even know whatt hey are talking about.
They probably have some other reason why they dont just do it themselves.
And this is why I still play oldrim.
Frick the Special Edition. I don't need shit breaking at random whenever Bethesda decides they want to add another stupid thing to the game.
pretty sure I've been able to give myself an AK for a decade now
and that shit was free
elder scrolls 6 is going to be a shitshow
Mobile exclusive
What would be the problem? You guys have phones, don't you?
after everything they shat out in the last decade? pretty much, yes
If it has PG like Daggerfall then yeah it'll be a shitshow
This is why Doug is the best, making free mods for Morrowind
> whos laughing now????!!!
Go back to the chess club
Todd you fricking dork
>gun in skyrim
At some point in ES6 you'll pick one up
stealth gunners new meta
Tbf guns aren't a bad idea for TES, specially handgonnes which were slow as frick
i don't understand. they added a mod to the base game? and it costs 6 dollars? where? did they add an ingame shop? paid mods is something that existed for a while now, right?
remember the mini dlcs in oblivion like horse armor or the ones that added spell tomes or like 1 questline and a house?

The frick even is that animation lol the wrist looks so moronic like that
>Quick, how do we sell more copies or siphon every single fricking penny out of Skyrim
>LETS ADD GUNS TO TES!
Redguard had cannons and dwemer contraptions using guns https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Redguard:Investigate_the_Ruins
Doesn't matter, homosexual. Those aren't hand gun
The Dwemer invented the gunpoweder too
keep your no gun homosexual at whatever the garbage RPG game you want it
There were multiple daily threads on the General Discussion board
What the frick. THIS is what they broke Skyrim for? THIS??? Skyrim has functioning cyborg ARM CANNONS. Laser pistols, pretty much everything from Star Wars integrated into a mod where you storm frigging star destroyers. Standard guns, crossbow launchers...
It's only light on firearms if you're too stupid to mod.
...which I suppose is the core market for this shit. I'm so fricking sick of it all.
It's like Skyrim with guns.
>Fully functional
>Still use crossbow animations
I got all the achievements 10 years ago
Look at how bad it is. There's not even a gunshot noise.
holy shit, even the free mods are better than this
?si=XPmMOPxxyGNGBL-Y&t=127
>That shaking of the screen and hand at every movement of the gun
pretty cool technically but
>gay tactimilsimcool gloves
>spazzy animation and camera moving everywhere to show off
I fricking hate viewmodel animator homosexuals, they're such fricking own-fart-smelling posers.
6 dollar for this: https://youtu.be/9YH0n6xIMoU
topkek
Why is it that I despise anything that has to do with Arquebus?
V.II Snail at it again!
>It's just a crossbow skin
>skyrim is now skyrim with guns
MOVE OVER Far Cry 3!
I already used a working gun mod like six years ago. It was pretty cool and reloading took forever to balance out the power.
>FULLY FUNCTIONAL
It's a fricking crossbow reskin, just like every gun mod in the past ten years.
L
M
A
O
>FULLY FUNCTIONAL
>Bethesda
That's the real joke if you ask me
lmao did they forget what happened in 2015?
They're hoping consoomes forget. Which they usually do considering shit like battle passes and always online are the norm now even tho everyone raised a stink when things like Diablo 3 or Simcity 4 tried it years ago.
...why? Special Edition was supposed to be the last update, modders were finally comfortable and not having to worry about another update fricking things up
because starfield was a flop
didn't these gays learn the first time? we won't accept paid mods
>we won't accept
you already did, they wouldn't rerelease it so many times if it didn't sell, reminder that last rerelease was a paid mod compilation
Have you seen Ark Ascended? They're trying that shit there.
my guess is its for console "people" who cant mod skyrim
you can mod skyrim on console though
to what extent though though
i was thinking about replaying skyrim recently
>check steam library
>Skyrim original edition
shit i never paid for the dlc and the torrents are on a long lost hdd
Whatever ill just buy them
>Dawnguard $19.99

>2023 (almost 2024)
>skyrim
please stop!
Did this break mods? It did, didn't it?
If you update your game it will break SKSE (and any mod that uses SKSE), yes
Man, I'm this close to pirating Skyrim again. Just to not have to deal with this bullshit.
It's pretty easy to stop steam games from updating
There is a downgrader for Skyrim. I used it last time Bethesda pulled this nonsense
SKSE was updated, Address Library is coming out later
what a steal
This is beside the fact that Bethesda know they're a garbage company hiring garbage people, outsourcing product development to amateurs and fans and then taking their cut for it.
Jesus fricking Christ, why do they keep trying to force the paid mod thing. Do modding for fun, or frick off. It’s not a career. I like Virt-a-Mate, but literally all modded content worth a shit is behind paywalls. It’s miserable.
It's only the israeli modders doing it anyways
They can't force every modder to charge
There's a toll in the hallway now
This makes me feel glad that alot of my other modded games let me stay on previous versions, like Starsector and Terraria. I don't know what I'd do if tmodloader didn't give me the ability to defer updates, so I could enjoy older versions with heavy amounts of mods.

Todd is doing this to sour peoples fondness for Skyrim as revenge for people hating Star Slop
tbf this is more Zenimax trying to maximize profits than a BGS decision
The oarent company is probably worried that Starfield DLC won't be profitable after the poor reception of the base game
Remember the Anniversary edition with its selling point being that it included all the creation club content? Turns out that was a lie.
>horse armor releases, everyone flips shit
>years later cosmetic DLC is commonplace
>bethesda tries paid mods, everyone flips shit
>years later they try again and no one cares
apparently this update at least brought scripting enhancement, sot there's that I guess
You mean what SE has been doing for more than a decade?
what improvement?
Laggy shit under 32bit?
