I'm expecting a spin-off that plays more like Fallout Tactics had sex with XCOM. They have Splash Damage who made Gears Tactics which was actually a really good game let down by a horribly linear story and poor map variety.

Competently ran companies can put out great games consistently with only a 2-4 year gap depending on scale, which is how it should be. if a studio is taking a decade to make a game then something is very wrong, a grave level of incompetence. Not saying great games can't come out of long dev processes, but that doesn't mean it wasn't grossly mismanaged. Also Bethesda has no reason to whine "game dev hard", their end product is always mediocre and needs mods to fix them.
