Unironically better than Fromslop for the mere fact that the defensive option is actually responsice and frame-perfect instead of an input eating delayed slog that's bandaid fixed with input queue.
people will get mad because the roll doesn't have as many iframes as souls and the parry window is smaller than sekiro (30f parry window btw) so they have to actually play well

What a joke. The game has very aggressive scaling, and the P-Organ even before New Game+ and ++ makes the game much easier unless you are a complete moron. Factor in a couple decent arms, the throwables/consumables, and the handle system which means players don't have to make sacrifices between moveset and more powerful weapon, and the game is the easiest of the souls-inspired genre.
And I bet that is why people actually like it. They want to pretend they like challenge, when LoP is the least challenging game in the genre. Even the level design and how the lore/world information is delivered is less challenging than other similar games.

It's the other way around, it's much better than Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring but like two poorgays are sour grapes about it. For comparison the PS5 DeS remake is absolute trash and nobody should buy a PS5. If (when) Bloodborne becomes playable at 60fps on PCs even more people will agree that it's among the best Fromsoft titles.

Bloodborne is overhyped slop that only gets defended because it's a Playstation exclusive, same with Demon's Souls, Demon's Souls is unequivocally the worst souls game in the fricking series, but Playstation fanboys act like it's better than it is because it HAS to be in their warped perspective.
Bloodborne has no starting equipment options, no faith stat or equivalent, the simplest level up and overall gameplay formula, rewarding you for just mashing R1 harder than any other Fromsoft game ever has, or since that point, and your build of choice will only ever be ready for NG+ because by the time you have the options you WANT, you've only got like one or two bosses left you can actually fight before having to start over.
I HATE BLOODBORNE NOW BECAUSE I PLAYED IT TOO MUCH.

I love Bloodborne and Lies of P is more Bloodborne, I like it, it's not perfect but I enjoy it more than "literally playing nothing because Fromsoft is taking an eternity to make Elden Ring DLC", and it's worlds better than other Souls clones.

I didn't play Sekiro, because I don't like from games with less character customization, but I can say Lies of P is absolutely better than those three, Nioh 2 though, I'd say it's on par.
Bloodborne's moronly linear equipment progression means regardless of build you're playing the exact same game for about 40% of time on average and it pisses me off that it's fervent defenders can't see or acknowledge that major flaw.

because only using the saw spear gets boring. also, having to do 10 hours of chalice dungeon running to get good gems on every file gets old fast
chalice dungeons can suck my balls. if bloodborne ever got a port I will be hacking in gems and weapons instead of having to wait until the end of a run to get the stuff I want

I like the combat hate the collision detection. This game is absolute ass detecting where you are and where the enemy attack went. There are times I'm 45º from the direction the attack went straight forward and I still take damage. The parrying mechanic is fun but requires time to catch on. The music is very good tracks like Feel and Quixotic are memorable. Lore is also interesting gimmick bosses are shit not as shit as in other souls but still shit.
Feels better than Bloodborne but I just tried on my PS5 and didn't like it too clunky even. Maybe because I played DS3 and Elden Ring before.
A bit better than Wo Long, a huge disappointment that I bought a month ago.
Inferior to Nioh 2 which I had the chance to play with all DLCs and had a huge blast. Haven't played Lords of Fallen yet and will buy Sekiro soon.
