nope dont even bother, its made just as a second playtrough because you kill people left and right with no control over it.
You're better off just playing normally and choosing your own decisions. Like i chose no to go dark urge first playtroug and i i still ended up being a murder hobo, but on my dark urge character i was forced to kill someone i didnt want to which sucks.
You don't get to kill anyone anon stop falling for fricking shills. There's just one single scripted event that happens after you sleep and the npc you kill is a literal who nobody cares about.
In those 60 hours you're only going to have 4 single dark urge interactions, JUST 4, and 3 of them are WITH ANIMALS.
Nobody fricking dies and if a mentally ill shill tries to tell you otherwise report them to the FBI for being pedo troony liars.
I'll take your word for it. If the difference is that insignificant, I may as well go Dark Urge

It's a bit more than that but as long as you don't kill the one obvious story relevant character whose death has immediate dire consequences the game is basically the same as without playing DU.
Other than at the end of act 2, where the game suddenly decided that I'm gay for FRICKING GALE even though I never really talked to him or used him in my party.I just ended up killing him. Frick him, his fate was sealed when I had the option to rip off his fricking hand from the portal, and frick this game forcing shit on you even if it might be bugged.
you kill the origin characters when you meet them if you want, including for only merely 'thinking' about doing it

No you don't, you didn't even play the game you sad pathetic miserable freak. The only companion with a unique Dark Urge interaction is Gale, and you ONLY kill him if you click "think about chopping his hand of". All the other dialogue options just follow the introduction like it does for Tav.
Not a single one of the other companions have a special Dark Urge interaction, not one. So you saying "you kill origin characters tee hee" is a huge lie when ONLY Gale has it.
You're a sad miserable pathetic shill who didn't even play the game, you just saw someone posting the Panel from Hell scene of Gale's hand and now you go around lying despite the game being out for like 2 weeks. have a nice day ALREADY.

oh okay, gale was who it happened to for me so I opted to play a non edgelord character for my first playthrough.
hey, settle down okay?

What about that check that can lead to killing your lover?

It only happens if you don't kill Isobel and I already stated it's part of the personal quest.
Dark Urge changes next to nothing. Larian lied. You don't have "less content" or anything like that, you don't have to "resist" urges until a personal quest in Act 2 and only if you refuse to do your personal quest to begin with.
Just play Dark urge and enjoy the miserable 30 extra minutes it adds and enjoy having the other 60 hours of story never acknowledge you have a dark urge.
Let alone if you fail the check it's just game over so you have to keep reloading over and over until you succeed since killing your lover means the whole party turns against you and they WILL kill you.

What if you solo your whole party, are you able to do that? Or is it just a lame forced game over?

Shut the frick up you lying homosexual. My main playthrough is dark urge. >Ripped Gales arm off, dooming him to his pocket dimension >Have unique dialogue with the cow that is also a schizophrenic like me >intentionally gaslight the tiefling child into trying to run so the snake will kill her >Kill the bard in the middle of camp >unique dialogue with astarion about enjoying flesh and gore >unique dialogue with the torturer dude in the goblin camp >free bulllshit cloak
theres more but that's just act 1
Starting in act 2 some serious choices get made >kill the priestess like ordered, doom an entire town >don't kill the priestess like ordered, have to succeed on multiple skill checks to not murder the party member you have highest relationship with, be it romantic or not
You're full of shit. Don't post again.

The durge playthrough feels like a complete version of the Tav playthrough where your character actually feels like a part of the story and not just a peripheral observer. I was genuinely annoyed that I didn't start with durge because tav genuinely feels like a waste of time by comparison
>where your character actually feels like a part of the story
Nah, you just feel like yet another mary sue in a cast of special snowflakes. The protagonist already has A LOT going on by virtue alone of having a tadpole in his head. being leader of the party, chosen of the emperor, etc etc.
Adding being Bhaalspawn to it is overkill. > No no but you see I need to be a super strong empowered 15 year old tiefling girl sorcerer/wizard/cleric/warlock who was gangraped by orcs and has leukemia and uhh a tadpole and uhh i lead the party and uhh i am a bhaalspawn and uhhh one of the main villains is literally my sister and a god is my father!!!!
what happens if you pick a paladin and play dark urge does it just completely frick with the lore/story or character in someway? buying the game tomorrow dont hate
it depends on what your oath is, but vengeance is basically free and near-impossible to break even as a durge
you could also just be an oathbreaker though
My vengeance oath didn't get broken from killing Dark Urge related NPCs. The only thing that really breaks it is killing 100% innocent NPCs, like some random frick in the first act "town" or the dog in your camp. Though it did break from freeing that goblin in act 1, lmao. Or doing obviously evil shit like making a deal with Ethel. But honestly, Oathbreaker seems like a better deal than Vengeance anyway.
SHUT UP. Just shut. The frick. Up. Holy FRICK this is a board of brainwashed NPCs. Never in my life have I seen such a transparent astroturfing attempt. You think you're special or unique? You're a fricking sheep.
FACT: The general populace are morons. There has literally never been anything that has been popular on a widespread scale that has been of genuine quality. Why do you think gatekeeping exists? If people had taste and didn't ruin franchises with their preferences, there'd be no GATE TO KEEP.
Have some respect for yourselves! You're no better than normies and their FOMO; "oh, my feed is full of this game, better play it so I can be part of the newest trend!" You vapid, vapid c**ts.
Everywhere I turn it's Shitdur's Gate this, Baldumb's Gay that. Who even the frick is Baldur anyway? Nobody gave a crap the first two times his gate opened. I feel like this is a gigantic psyop.
It's like the shitty Barbie movie which nobody was actually interested in but a combination of pandering and social media saturation created a social obligation to go and see it. I still haven't actually spoken to anyone in real life who's seen it, and I expect this game will be the same.
So stop fricking posting about it. 10-20 threads on every sodding platform I use. Evidently purchased.
Shall I be playing? I think not. I'll be sticking to my backlog of actual good games, thanks (I.e. things I've cultivated an interest for myself and not things the internet has told me to like.)
Play halfling you dumbo. >free reroll of natural 1s
People don't realize how good halflings are in this game where you roll the dice a bazillion times.
Okay gay, elf trent reznor
You made this thread 3 hours ago
We get it, your character looks super awesome, frick off and play the game now
Can't play until tomorrow night and I can't decide if I should risk a Durge playthrough. I don't have time to replay the game so every minute counts
Then yes, it gives you more interactions than a normal custom character but doesn't force you to do evil
Alfira says hi

Exactly? Or you're gonna tell me a background NPC that LITERALLY COMES TO EXISTENCE JUST SO YOU KILL THEM is someone?
I swear to god you shills seriously need to be found and killed.

The game doesn't have as much depth as you believe it does. Dark Urge has 4 unique interactions, that's it.
posts above you already proved you wrong why would you say something so blatantly untrue.
He looks cool. What race is he?
Half elf
I wouldn't recommend it, you just kill everyone.
looks pretty corny to me, sorry anon
Well, my aim is to make him as edgy as possible. Isn't that the whole point of the dark urge story?

You troon looks like a homosexual
Elves are supposed to look androgynous dumbass. Are you new to the fantasy genre or something?
why do you guys keep saying Tav? Whats a Tav?
The new charname
The new Gorion's Ward.
>Gorion's Ward
Soul
>Tav
Soulless
It's the default name
Just Tav? Sounds like it's short for something
>playing Bhaals cuckspawn
yikes
Do it, its fun running around as a schizopath

Grow a spine, you gormless twats. Just say no.
3/10 pasta, try putting is some effort next time.
Not my pasta
Dark Urge can't be a paladin.
skill issue, unironically
just pass your rolls or play vengeance bro
You will get a reveal later on that makes no sense if you're a pally, your paladin dialogue options don't add up with who you're supposed to be.
amnesia, simple as.
clearly your oath came to you in a dream after you forgot about all of your serial killings and bhaalspawn shit
its almost as if the game was never made with the custom character in mind
no? you're missing content if you don't play a custom character
you still get all the other characters' storylines even when you aren't playing them
>savescumming
>3 critical misses in a row
hmmm
get good you fricking moron?
no

what an awful image.

wut. Ill take it I guess
*lathandar whatever
Looks like Michael Jackson.
