The game has mechanics for thrown objects causing damage. The player has dropped a shitton of weapons, crates, and other heavy objects that they carried to the spot overlooking that Dragon, then cast a spell which pushes people and objects in front of it away from the caster. All the objects fly out and many hit the dragon for a dozens of pips of damage, not much individually but enough to just paste the dragon.

Reminds me of the strategy to set up a billion traps under the dragon which drops Carsomyr, to kill him instantly once you engage.
You don't think logically about magic, tho.
And the bard is less actual abrds and more a bunch of musicians that were really into studying until they learned how to "command" magic itself through words alone rather than mathematically like a wizard or naturally as a sorcerer.
Bards kindly ask reality to do some bullshit and reality complies because that song was fire. But jsut like every other class, it's mentioned that those who reach enough power to become adventurers/heroes are quite rare.
Bards in D&D are moronic in their implementation because of WotC catering to shitters with their mechanics. It's a crutch for brainlets who can't allocate stats properly and just want the 'brrrrrrr mainstat go up' experience.
Really, they should be INT-based casters like wizards except spontaneous, with the explanation being that all bards do is autistically collect and memorize lore so they always have loose spells prepared.
5e went especially fricking casual in this regard since they get 9th level spells now. At least in 3.5 if you homebrew bard to have CHA scaling on their features and INT scaling on the spells, their spell list only goes up to 6th anyway, so there's no reason to go over 16 INT beyond extra DC. It makes for a way more interesting and rounded jack-of-all-trades character.
Sounds like you want classic d&d, where the only classes were Fighting Man, Magic User and Cleric (eventually also thief)
and the only alignments were Lawful, Neutral and Chaotic.
Good luck, though.
Is it worth playing yet? I'm a huge fan of the first two games, probably played them 20 times over the years, but I've held off touching this given its unfinished. I've run out of CRPG's though, so I'm tempted.
The last panel two days ago showed an NPC losing his sword mid dialogue and then waving his hand around in a few fencing moves.
I would wait if I were you.
>Early access >The last panel two days ago showed an NPC losing his sword mid dialogue and then waving his hand around in a few fencing moves.

I would wait if I were you.
People rolled the default character down to class and stats instead of customizing it even the slightest bit the most uncreative behavior possible in an rpg like this one and homosexuals defend it cause its a white guy
Bards make more sense than sorcerors. You would think sorcerors would be performative "dance" magic due to charisma but they're just... I dont know actually. Bard magic is just song magic.
Scanlan Shorthalt, some homosexual OC from Critical Role. Critical Role is shit, mainly because they get shitty Jennifer Hale on it, but the better voice actor is not invited (Mark Meer) atleast Yuri Lowenthal and Matt Mercer are on it.
Google, you dumb fricking homosexual. I didn't watch one fricking video of it.

Sure you didn't. You googled it at some point before this thread, and committed Scanlan to memory so that when he was mentioned once here you remembered it immediately and threw a fuss over it? You also decided it was shit not because of its californianisms but because of Shepard's voice actors? Sure.

Imagine being this much of a shizo. I was literally scrolling through the thread, quickly googled who that character was, told him and also said it sucks cause the only people worth shit were not invited even though he was a far better voice actor and 85% of players chose male.
Take your meds, you colossal homosexual.

You're accomplishing nothing by lying on the internet.
Why the frick is it taking so long to add classes and why do they make big announcements when they do? Pathfinder has like 1000 of the fricking things. Do characters in the game have tons of dialogue or are there specific quests about your class or something?
The patch 8 looks fricking great so far. >bard >visual updates >better animations during dialogue and cutscenes >AI swarm so battles aren't as long (OwlBlack folk are seething as this was their biggest complaint tactic) >Gnomes >Elves are now uniquely animated >UI improvements
And even more. But like, when the frick is the game coming out?
Monkey because paladins are unpopular with their target demographic.
I mean what do you expect from devs that have a shitty devil music band that get pissy when people prefer Shakespearian sonnets over their crap, pardon my French?
It does make a degree of sense, given EA is ostensibly about bug fixing and refinement.
The last patch before release is going to be the least played one, since fewer people want to be burned out before release, so having the least anticipated character class be part of it will make it a bit pointless.
Paladins will help fix that problem since everyone wants them
The one and only fantasy game that sold me on "human male fighter" was Diablo. And that's because of the subtext of the game: like all other warriors you're not supposed to survive to the end, and if you defy fate by doing so you will just make things worse.
Because alignment systems are shit and never implemented well.
How good or evil you are shouldn't be determined by how many good/bad boy points you've earned. If you kill an innocent child, you're evil. No amount of donating bread to the homeless will erase this fact. Yet in every game with an alignment system, any evil deed you perform can essentially be erased by doing lots of small "good" things like donating bread and water to the homeless.
>If you kill an innocent child, you're evil
What if killing one innocent child meant that two innocent children would survive, but refusal to kill the one child means the other two die instead?
What is the evil option and what is the good?
Do you sully your hand with one innocent life to save two, or do you choose not to participate and allow the two to die?
Still evil. Alignment is rooted in deontological morality, not trolley problems. At best you can make the claim you were fated to be evil by tragic flaws of man, but you are still evil.
Shouldn't these guys be running our of funding? I thought they said this game would release about 1 year after EA. It's already been 2 years and they're nowhere near done last I checked, expecting another year easily.
She's no longer a dindu, and she is confirmed to be your Barbarian hire for the party. I wonder who is going to be the bard, whether it's going to be Tiefling bard or Volo.
Right may be cuter, but left had character and has the look of a tough heroic woman. Right looks like a soft whiny player character with postmodern hair.
Cheers. So it was like one of her first designs? I didn't get to this Tiefling last time I played it.

technically yes, as MTG involves a multiverse where the main characters are the only ones who can Planeswalk between them.

Yes but no.
Magic the Gathering in itself isn't one specific universe. It's numerous universes with the overarching story threads being planar travelers from these different planes of existence either banding together to fight something that will frick over everyone in all universes, or fighting each other because nobody has anything better to do.
And since Wizards of the Coast owns both properties, saying that the two are in the same multiverse makes sense and requires zero work to change.
Like you could have Jace show up in the next Legend of Drizzt novel so they could team up to stop Nicol Bolas from getting some new fangled Super Crenshinibon that's fueled by Wolfgar's eternal suffering and it's make perfect sense.

It's not "uh, it's old so it's public domain!", it's a little more complicated than that.

Anything that goes on in Forgotten Realms still has to go past Greenwood.
>Volo
Volo is in the game? I though they'd add Minsc as the full fanservice character. I think he's alive during that period. Got turned into stone or something.
I am not an expert in DnD lore since I always homebrew everything I put in my campaigns, can drows canonically be redeemed to be good and cute or are they bound to be buttholes genetically?
Drow can be redeemed because they are a product of their society and goddess than they are genetics like in Pathfinder.
All Drow children are born with the capacity for goodness. It's just usually beaten out them by the time they're old enough to realize there's a difference.
Most Drow that escape are men though. Since men are second class citizens and genetically weaker than the females in most cases and are more likely to rebel. Females have less reason turn tail because they're groomed to be hedonist matriarchs from a young age and life is awesome for them besides the backstabbing and assassinations and murders and matricide.
Lolth is a hell of a drug and most of the Drizzt novels paint Drow society as a fricking sham that only exist to appease the whims on an eternal spider b***h.
I never thought about it before, but imagine how much fricking hair she would have if she removed the ponytail, I mean she still has all that hair, but it would look really funny
>SHEEEEEESH >these new gnome models are no cap bussin on god >the bard class though? >fr that shit is mid, no cap >barbarian is still brazy and the ability to smash chairs on people is litty my guy fr
Face scanning and motion capture are not the same thing.
It looks fine to me. As long as the elves dont look like the D:OS 2 abominations, we are fine.
Elves in the Forgotten Realms aren't trees, so they obviously wouldn't look like elves in DOS2.
I think DOS2 elves were cool though, it's nice with some different designs once in a while.
Those designs were crap. Its one thing to elongate everything and call it a day and another to start adding random muscles everywhere, because .... design?

Fantasy anchored in reality is always superior, because it helps with suspension of disbelief.
They look humanoid but not human. They seem kinda like a distant relation to goblins. It's captured my imagination when I never gave gnomes a second thought before.
>some gay told me barbarian had dialogue options leading to a [cinematic pending] with one of the onlookers in the goblin camp after forcing the goblin braggart to kiss my feet >she just is really into having people kiss her feet and wants to know how it felt, but nothing else happens
they made them like Tolkien elves
D&D elves are supposed to look kinda alien, not just like human models, and they are too thicc as well, they should be skinnier
people shit on Aerie's portrait in BG2 a lot but I think it's a perfect example of what a D&D elf should look like
in 5.E you can only cast a single buff at a time due to the concentration mechanic. If you take a hit while casting a concentration spell you have to roll to maintain it otherwise the spell fades and you have to cast it again
Monk exists to put a few levels into before you jump to a real class. Paladins are clerics who don't know how to build properly so they need safety nets.
You know, I can get why it would take time to make models and such for Dragonborn. But I don't understand how they can only add one race an update when almost all the other races being added are just humans with pointy ears or short or both at the same time.
because wotc literally went to larian and begged them to do bg3
an absolute reversal compared to years back when larian came forward and asked to do it and were laughed out
divinity original sin 2 was huge for them, before that they just made low budget crpgs nobody cared about since the 90s and were constantly on the edge of bankruptcy.

When there's >Pillars of Eternity 1 & 2 >Pathfinder 1 & 2 >Black Geyser >Tyranny >Serpent in the Staglands >Dragon Age Origins >Even Spellforce, if you count it since it is RTS/RPG
No one says that it should run on the infinity engine. Other games were similar and did it pretty well.
jaheira, maybe her new husband has died as well and we can romance her again
Jaheira would be an old lady by now, half elves don't live as long as full elves. Though I think druids get slowed aging at a high level and she did reach epic levels potentially so actually never mind, she could still be young.
I just wish the game would be made for a party of 6 and I could have more party variety instead of feeling forced into 1 figher, 1 cleric/druid , 1 wizard/sorcerer and 1 thief
Wizards can potentially cast EVERY spell in the game even bless, healing, resurrection, etc, (there is a whole subclass school for divinity spellcasters) as long as it's a spell that is able to read and be scribed from a scroll and not inherently a class ability.
I don't think 5e does dual classing so you'd have to do some kind of multiclassing instead. Early access only goes to level 4 so it's really not ready for it.
The little details that Larian adds to the game like performance and being able to lure a crowd of people throwing money at you is such a nice touch that I hope this game develops an online/multiplayer community like Neverwinter Nighters with homosexuals making entire RP server maps. I don't know whether a massively multiplayer server could be a thing that could be modded/included.

So, essentially, someone in your family fricked someone he shouldn't have fricked.
Maybe a demon, maybe a devil, if you are very unlucky a deamon.
Because of this, on top of looking weird, you are prone to sperg out when your second nature takes in.
Other than that, you are the average human, just as I mentioned, with the chance of your lineage manifesting badly on your character.

I was under the impression that Tieflings weren't all necessarily direct demonic descendants in modern lore, but more often descendants of groups of humans who had willingly served demons and were then cursed into having their allegiance writ plain by giving them demonic appearances, which their children would also inherit.
Someone in your family either fricked a demon whether it's an Incubi impregnating your mom, dad was raped/fricked a demoness and you grew up in the Hells, or someone in your mother's side had demon blood ancestry or was planetouched and you suddenly popped out of your mother as a demon spawn.
Most people who frick demons usually end up having their offspring be half-fiends which are inherently evil by nature like Cambions and Alu-fiends who are half-devils half-human, which is why people view your kind with hate or suspicion, your kind are the half-kind that turned out good or can choose your destined path.

All the objects fly out and many hit the dragon for a dozens of pips of damage, not much individually but enough to just paste the dragon.
WTF, Thunderweave can do that? So far, I just love punting enemies off high places to their death using Eldritch Bolt. Gotta check this spell out.
Yes, we know batman can beat any opponent with prep-time.
this is why larian RPGs are more fun than shitty RTWP garbage
Reminds me of the strategy to set up a billion traps under the dragon which drops Carsomyr, to kill him instantly once you engage.
Many things do not make sense in DnD. Best to handwave them and just enjoy it as a simple set of game rules.
DnD or fantasy in genersal? Fantasy, makes perfect sense to me. But it should be more of a consistent buff (which isn't conducive to DnD per se).
Why not?
why would listening to someone sing make you stronger?
>but its magic
might as well just be a mage no?
There's no mage class in DnD.
Sounds like you want classic d&d, where the only classes were Fighting Man, Magic User and Cleric (eventually also thief)
and the only alignments were Lawful, Neutral and Chaotic.
Good luck, though.
Meant to reply to
>people can fart fireballs out of theyre ass, thats okay
>people can sing and magically buff people, not okay
frick off.
where the frick is paladin
Stashed away on a larian database getting ready for next patch.
Why is this game such a bizarre mix of realistic Bioware faces with ridiculous anime hair?
Is this bullshit gonna come out of EA or what
next year
Is it worth playing yet? I'm a huge fan of the first two games, probably played them 20 times over the years, but I've held off touching this given its unfinished. I've run out of CRPG's though, so I'm tempted.
>Early access
Don't bother.
>Early access
>The last panel two days ago showed an NPC losing his sword mid dialogue and then waving his hand around in a few fencing moves.
The last panel two days ago showed an NPC losing his sword mid dialogue and then waving his hand around in a few fencing moves.
I would wait if I were you.
Anon this isn't baldurs gate. This is divinity 3.
Please rate!
>vanilla white male fallout lookin' guy
Yeah, that's gonna be a big yikes from me dawg
Why did you fricking assume he's male? No one mentioned anything about gender but you, chud.
Xe's fine.
Pretty sure the devs never said "white human male"
They showed a picture in the tweet. It was a white human male.
People rolled the default character down to class and stats instead of customizing it even the slightest bit the most uncreative behavior possible in an rpg like this one and homosexuals defend it cause its a white guy
But the default humans in BG3 are nogs, anon
They literally never said that.
Looks malnourished.
How long on HRT?
Is that how you spell gorilla testosterone?
looks like willem defoe
Bards make more sense than sorcerors. You would think sorcerors would be performative "dance" magic due to charisma but they're just... I dont know actually. Bard magic is just song magic.
HOLY SHIT GIVE ME A MOTHERFRICKING PALADIN ALREADY
gnome is bad for bard
But scanlan though
Who?
Scanlan Shorthalt, some homosexual OC from Critical Role. Critical Role is shit, mainly because they get shitty Jennifer Hale on it, but the better voice actor is not invited (Mark Meer) atleast Yuri Lowenthal and Matt Mercer are on it.
Lol you actually watched more of it than me cause I never saw Jennifer Hale as a guest on that show. Way to out yourself as a hardcore critter.
Heard they unlocked the color pallettes. Can I make a shortstack goblin now?
>shitty ass bards
Yeah. I'm thinking I'm not going to pirate this yet. Wake me up when they add paladins.
Why the frick is it taking so long to add classes and why do they make big announcements when they do? Pathfinder has like 1000 of the fricking things. Do characters in the game have tons of dialogue or are there specific quests about your class or something?
They're too busy fricking around and filming moronic comedy skits.
The patch 8 looks fricking great so far.
>bard
>visual updates
>better animations during dialogue and cutscenes
>AI swarm so battles aren't as long (OwlBlack folk are seething as this was their biggest complaint tactic)
>Gnomes
>Elves are now uniquely animated
>UI improvements
And even more. But like, when the frick is the game coming out?
But what about performance?
also better
Still early 2023
I don't believe that for a single minute.
The way they talked about production on panel from hell made me think they are pretty close, 2023 is reasonable
>Elves are now uniquely animated
Any examples?
They elegantly phase their swords into the Feywilds when engaged in conversation.
>protagonist is still silent
Cringe
All of these classes should be in game
What the absolute frick is this moronic table trying to convey?
What it feels like to have your brain sucked out by a mindflayer
Demigod is not a class you dumbass
>Everyone wants Paladins to be added already
>They add Bards instead
Frick you Larian
The devs hate paladins because they know it's the class of choice for white heterosexual Christian men.
Larian can't add paladins because it would be glorification of the first invasion of Poland by the Teutonic Order, and they would get in trouble.
Nobody wants you cringe ass DEUS VULT XDDD homosexuals.
Bards>
They're probably trying to figure out how to properly add divine smite as it's applied after hit rather that as a buff
They sold me on Bard. I am going to play as one for the first time in an rpg, after my white male fighter playthrough, of course...
Yeah what kinda paladin are they adding?
DEUX VULT Chads? Or muh sheboonadin dibersity holy ahtiest bullshit?
It's 5e so the latter.
try asking the question but without all the buzzwords
>without all the buzzwords
Where do you think we are? The moron can't even spell his happy paladin type
It's literally up to you and the oath you take
some are implied to be religious, some are implied to be based on the person's own zeal
Take your bets on what class will be added last, Monk or Paladin?
Theyll probably add Paladin last, cause it's super popular (at least compared to monk)
Monkey because paladins are unpopular with their target demographic.
I mean what do you expect from devs that have a shitty devil music band that get pissy when people prefer Shakespearian sonnets over their crap, pardon my French?
Monk if the final class comes with release, paladin if it’s the last patch before release.
Few people care about monks.
So of course they'll be next
It does make a degree of sense, given EA is ostensibly about bug fixing and refinement.
The last patch before release is going to be the least played one, since fewer people want to be burned out before release, so having the least anticipated character class be part of it will make it a bit pointless.
Paladins will help fix that problem since everyone wants them
Just like all the companions are so shit because they're saving the good ones for release? LMAO
paladin because they know everyone is hyped to play it so they'll use it for marketing closer to release
>all these wonderful new options to choose from
>pick human male fighter again
The one and only fantasy game that sold me on "human male fighter" was Diablo. And that's because of the subtext of the game: like all other warriors you're not supposed to survive to the end, and if you defy fate by doing so you will just make things worse.
If you love Gnomes.
https://gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=list&tags=custom_udon
Are there different body types now? Dropped the game when I couldn't play as a barbarian without a conan or amazon body last time
Not for (You) but Larian's pet npcs can.
Goddamnit, my bearded barbarian looks like a soiboi with the default body type
Sorry the masculine bodytype is reserved for Larian's gay bara druid.
Waiit a minute.
I can mod it
So do Bards want 18 Charisma or 18 Dex?
Yes
18 Cha first, you are casting guy first and foremost. Maybe as a sword bard in the tabletop you could afford more dex, probably the same as valor bard
Looks like she's a great listener.
Why is there no alignment system in this game?
Because alignment systems are shit and never implemented well.
How good or evil you are shouldn't be determined by how many good/bad boy points you've earned. If you kill an innocent child, you're evil. No amount of donating bread to the homeless will erase this fact. Yet in every game with an alignment system, any evil deed you perform can essentially be erased by doing lots of small "good" things like donating bread and water to the homeless.
My sword slipped, okay? That toddler shouldn't have stood there anyway. It's really his fault when you think about it.
DANCE UPON THE STARS TONIGHT,
SMILES AND PAIN WILL FADE AWAY.
BG3 will officially be the worst rpg ever created if she is not a party member.
We're not getting here LOL we're getting the one horned dindu tiefling.
She's no longer a dindu, and she is confirmed to be your Barbarian hire for the party. I wonder who is going to be the bard, whether it's going to be Tiefling bard or Volo.
MOMMY SNU SNU BARB!
one of the unfrickings of the decade
Holy shit, so things do get better sometimes
She got redesigned again for patch 8.
Frick, here is it in non thumbnail format.
Right may be cuter, but left had character and has the look of a tough heroic woman. Right looks like a soft whiny player character with postmodern hair.
What a shame.
Left was perfect right is too moeblob uguu
Left fits better, right is cuter
Is this the same character? Horns seem the same but the scarring and the Black person hairdo are different.
Damn you're fricking stupid.
You seem triggered, anon
the first version was only character creation parts as a place holder. The second version is unique assets.
Cheers. So it was like one of her first designs? I didn't get to this Tiefling last time I played it.
It was definitely a placeholder, since she's got two horns. The character's described as being notable for only having one
It wasn't intended to be her design at all, just a place holder until the design was added. You could/can make the same character in the character creator.
Important characters that use player faces aren't final designs.
is magic and gathering really in same universe as baldurs gate?
no it's just a crossover promotion. They did street fighter also
imagine getting Ryu's design so wrong, lol.
motherfricker is one of the simpliest characters and they still fricked him up.
>needs to attack with other creatures
lol
lmao even
technically yes, as MTG involves a multiverse where the main characters are the only ones who can Planeswalk between them.
Why is DnD "owned" by anybody? It's so old it should be public domain.
Because public domain doesn't work like that.
It's not "uh, it's old so it's public domain!", it's a little more complicated than that.
Also it's not old enough to be completely public domain, the first rendition of mickey mouse just became public domain like a month ago, a full 80 years after it's first appearence.
Because Disney kept stalling.
works enter public domain 96 years after their initial creation, DND isn't that old
Anything that goes on in Forgotten Realms still has to go past Greenwood.
>Volo
Volo is in the game? I though they'd add Minsc as the full fanservice character. I think he's alive during that period. Got turned into stone or something.
Datamined confirms that Minsc and that dumb hamster will be in the game
I'm not surprised. I even liked him in the classic BG, but adding him feels cheap.
I didn't get that far it seems. Only played with the ea for couple hours.
both are in the game. Volo has been in the early access since it released.
>she's barbarian
>when her backstory and aiming a damn crossbow at you implied she was a demon hunter ranger
???
If you mod the game to let you play as her she also has unique paladin lines, it's a bit of a mess.
>nu tiefling
see:
is what she looks now (the right)
Any characters like Lohse?
my wife is filthy
Did they change her again?
I am not an expert in DnD lore since I always homebrew everything I put in my campaigns, can drows canonically be redeemed to be good and cute or are they bound to be buttholes genetically?
Get them to abandon Lolth for Eilistraee
They are liable to get eaten by a horde of murderous spiders the next time they go to a cave however
There is a whole band of Drow who worship and follow Eilistraee who is technically supposed to be the Drow goddess guiding Drow to good.
They also changed Gale too, he went from meek ordinary guy to gigachad pussyfricker of the goddess of magic.
>gael asks how he looks
>still your same handsome self
>thanks
what a chad
Does everything he say still sound pretentious and obnoxious?
Did they seriously make his chin and jaw broader to turn him into the giga chad meme?
nah the current look is probably final
I want to squish her cheeks
Based sister in faith
I never thought about it before, but imagine how much fricking hair she would have if she removed the ponytail, I mean she still has all that hair, but it would look really funny
Rapunzel-tier hair and 70s-tier bush
her vanilla hair is dumb
She's a brat not a mommy. That hair doesn't make sense.
>SHEEEEEESH
>these new gnome models are no cap bussin on god
>the bard class though?
>fr that shit is mid, no cap
>barbarian is still brazy and the ability to smash chairs on people is litty my guy fr
Still have no fricking idea what they were thinking with Vicious Mockery. What a piece of shit. Throwing a rock is better.
lmao, what's with his face? reminds me of adult faces copied onto children bodies in cp2077
motion capture was a mistake
your life is a mistake but you dont see anyone complaining do you?
Rude.
sorry
you did, now pay the repayrayshun
kek, who hurt you, dude? are you a larian shill or what?
Face scanning and motion capture are not the same thing.
It looks fine to me. As long as the elves dont look like the D:OS 2 abominations, we are fine.
Elves in the Forgotten Realms aren't trees, so they obviously wouldn't look like elves in DOS2.
I think DOS2 elves were cool though, it's nice with some different designs once in a while.
Those designs were crap. Its one thing to elongate everything and call it a day and another to start adding random muscles everywhere, because .... design?
>random muscles
It's not random, it's clearly supposed to invoke wood/bark, because they're tree-people.
Muscles dont exist to invoke anything, they exist to push and pull. You might have liked it, I just wondered why.
I'll let you in on a secret: Muscles in video games don't actually do anything except invoke stuff the artists want them to. You can even skip muscles entirely and have moving skeletons!
Fantasy anchored in reality is always superior, because it helps with suspension of disbelief.
Elves in Divinity are trees.
Really? I think that distorted look is awesome. It got me interested in gnomes.
i dunno, they look like moronic, scaled down humans with those faces.
They look humanoid but not human. They seem kinda like a distant relation to goblins. It's captured my imagination when I never gave gnomes a second thought before.
Any "petite" romance options?
CAN I FRICK A GOBLIN?
There is a stunning lack of gobbie waifu material in CRPG's and gaming in general. It's so demoralizing.
can you stop being american?
Only when you stop being obsessed.
Obsessed
>some gay told me barbarian had dialogue options leading to a [cinematic pending] with one of the onlookers in the goblin camp after forcing the goblin braggart to kiss my feet
>she just is really into having people kiss her feet and wants to know how it felt, but nothing else happens
I got baited friend, don't ask this question.
There is a halfling druid coming
Are the reactions still shit?
What does this helmet do?
none of your damn business
Food for Gale.
to make you look badass, that's what
>he doesnt know
Why are trans people love Baldurs Gate 3 so much?
nice bait, here's your (You), now go away
>no barbarian
What's the point then
I WANT TO PLAY THE GAME SO BAD BUT EARLY ACCESS IS MAKING ME NOT WANT TO TOUCH IT FUUUUUUUCKKKKKK
Just play Pathfinder, Solasta or Divinity, there are plenty of good modern CRPGs out there.
I've played all of them
Some multiple times
>check out solasta
>see this
no thanks
You customize all your party members so it's your own fault if they are all Black folk and women.
thats not the problem moron it just looks like shit
>playing crpgs for the graphics
The absolute fricking state of you.
I liked how you immediately defaulted to the graphics when i meant the art style you tard. But you are right it does look like shit in that regard too
just play it once to scratch the itch
Is there a lot of content?
About 30 hours if you don't go in a straight line to the end of the act.
Just ignore the game till it releases and play something else. You're not a child with 0 self-control, right?
gog update out anywhere?
They added Lathander Cleric bros!
Can I be a cleric of Loviatar and whip myself?
But is Ilmater in?
best build for Bard?
In PNP you go Variant Human and take Spell Sniper for a cantrip that doesn't suck ass. In BG3 I dunno use a bow or something.
I don't feel like installing it right now because its so huge, but did they add new hairstyles?
I play this on stadia on my tv, it's comfy.
>he bought a stadia
it's a free app on my tv
Can we recruit that beefcake elf Druid yet? He’s a bara fantasy
In a perfect world Alfira would be a bard companion and Halsin would be a druid companion. Well, enjoy your cuck frog.
but frog is perfect tho
duality of Gankerirgins
why would I ever want to sleep with the fricking frog
Does the frog still cuck you or have they removed it? I haven't been keeping up with development.
She flat out says she's not going to be exclusive.
You only get cucked if you're dumb enough to think she's lying.
Patch 9 should be Paladin + big body type
He's so hot.
Why are Elves such fricking Chads in BG3?
they made them like Tolkien elves
D&D elves are supposed to look kinda alien, not just like human models, and they are too thicc as well, they should be skinnier
people shit on Aerie's portrait in BG2 a lot but I think it's a perfect example of what a D&D elf should look like
Haven't touched the game yet and I'm pretty sure it's not the case but this guy HAS to be voiced by Travis Willingham.
>even has chest hair
>those bugbears
sex
Looking forward to the half-orcs and dragonborn.
Has D&D5 fixed that thing where a wizard or cleric cast a few self-buffs and become better than fighters at fighting?
in 5.E you can only cast a single buff at a time due to the concentration mechanic. If you take a hit while casting a concentration spell you have to roll to maintain it otherwise the spell fades and you have to cast it again
Bard is OP like Barbarian and Sorc
How OP will Monk and Paladin be?
Monk exists to put a few levels into before you jump to a real class. Paladins are clerics who don't know how to build properly so they need safety nets.
very
but i'll take it over balanceman's vision
thank frick his game flopped
i dont like Bard.
bard gnome
the worst class and the worst race
>ctrl+f dragonborn: no results
They are in, Black folk
kill me, I hate these frickers so much
Red prince cameo?
SKYRIM REFERENCE??
You know, I can get why it would take time to make models and such for Dragonborn. But I don't understand how they can only add one race an update when almost all the other races being added are just humans with pointy ears or short or both at the same time.
something something skeleton rigs something something
They have to do voice acting for racial dialogue choices.
*urge to enslave intensifies*
These and half-orcs are gonna get the big body archetypes, I think. Can't wait
Any new pozzed characters I can have gay troony sex with?
why couldn't they just call it something else
do they have to taint absolutely everything with their shit?
more marketing power, stop crying homosexual. u dont own the ip.
because wotc literally went to larian and begged them to do bg3
an absolute reversal compared to years back when larian came forward and asked to do it and were laughed out
divinity original sin 2 was huge for them, before that they just made low budget crpgs nobody cared about since the 90s and were constantly on the edge of bankruptcy.
this patch broke a lot, I'll just keep hoping for level 5 before full release
?t=6366
Wait a minute, Jaheira is coming? Oh frick, I hope they won't ruin her. I always fancied her, since she was a headstrong woman, who also had a vulnerable side. She was loyal to her husband till the end, too.
Are there any mods that make the customization more expansive? Or any mods really that feel "essential"
>She was loyal to her husband till the end, too
Yes, to her new husband who is absolutely and canonically not Bhaalspawn.
wonder if they'll use her BG1 portrait as reference or BG2s
Wow that women does a good older Jaheira impression
GIVE ME THUNDERCANNONS!
Is it done yet
You mean Divinity Original Sin 3 right?
It's made by the same company, and uses the exact same engine and d&d ruleset.
It is nothing like Baldur's gate.
thats a good thing
And that's a good thing!
Can't keep making infinity engine games forever you know.
>Can't keep making infinity engine games forever
When there's
>Pillars of Eternity 1 & 2
>Pathfinder 1 & 2
>Black Geyser
>Tyranny
>Serpent in the Staglands
>Dragon Age Origins
>Even Spellforce, if you count it since it is RTS/RPG
No one says that it should run on the infinity engine. Other games were similar and did it pretty well.
Infinity engine was incredible for what it did though. Compared to it, Unity crpgs are pathetic.
So a good thing? Buying now
so how does this game tie into the other baldurs gates?
Not really sure yet, Act 1 doesn't really tie into the first two very well.
Duct type and super glue
So how many waifus are we going to get to romance?
Why would we need more than Shadowheart?
At a guess
>Shadowheart
>Min
>Karlach
>Lezael
The latter Presuming you can frick the one bullshit out of her.
Maybe the tiefling bard
jaheira, maybe her new husband has died as well and we can romance her again
Jaheira is actually married to Halsin this time. Datamine prove it
maybe I can watch when he fricks her
Jaheira would be an old lady by now, half elves don't live as long as full elves. Though I think druids get slowed aging at a high level and she did reach epic levels potentially so actually never mind, she could still be young.
>throne of baal is canon
Jaheira is level 30 and destroys the cult of the absolute before you can get there
more like balding's gate
Can someone sell me on this game?
What does it have over Divinity 2 OS?
Nothing yet, wait until it's complete.
Wizardbros, what school of magic are you going to make your Tav Wizard?
I just wish the game would be made for a party of 6 and I could have more party variety instead of feeling forced into 1 figher, 1 cleric/druid , 1 wizard/sorcerer and 1 thief
i think someone made a mod for more party members in divinity so i dont see why they wouldn't do the same here
Unless that mod accounts for the 2 whole extra adventurers the game would be made trivial as the game is balanced around a party of 4.
I like conjuration but it doesn't have the best class ability for video game purposes, maybe they will alter it for the game.
>haste
>bless
brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
isnt bless a priest spell
Wizards can potentially cast EVERY spell in the game even bless, healing, resurrection, etc, (there is a whole subclass school for divinity spellcasters) as long as it's a spell that is able to read and be scribed from a scroll and not inherently a class ability.
Can I run a fighter/cleric in BG3? That's what I was when I played BG1 and 2 for the first time earlier this year
I don't think 5e does dual classing so you'd have to do some kind of multiclassing instead. Early access only goes to level 4 so it's really not ready for it.
>multiclassing
Gross. I guess I'll have to play paladin then. How awful.
How many hours of gameplay can I get out of the current build?
God I want to play as a Half-Orc SNU SNU so bad bros and we most likely have to wait a whole year for them.
Gross, just play a chad elf instead.
I wouldn't mind having an half-orc in my team. Especially if they were a barb. Easy advantage and extra critical damage?
Why, yes, that sounds lovely.
I better be able to marry the tiefling bard or that one wienery one that you can make a bet with.
Bought this months ago, never played. Should I go Druid or Warlock for the demo first time.
The little details that Larian adds to the game like performance and being able to lure a crowd of people throwing money at you is such a nice touch that I hope this game develops an online/multiplayer community like Neverwinter Nighters with homosexuals making entire RP server maps. I don't know whether a massively multiplayer server could be a thing that could be modded/included.
>can make a somewhat attractive female Gith in character menu
>males get only one barely passable hairstyle and all of the faces are aborted fetus tier
>and this was after a bunch of patches
When I told them I Wanted more hairstyles for the Gith, I didn't mean female hairstyles for all races and both genders, dumb European cuck developers
>literally just a human chad with prosthetic ears and silly hair
Elder Scrolls did elves right
making your elves ugly simply for the sake of it doesn't make your universe any more unique from regular D&D or Tolkien-esque fantasy, Todd Blowhard
>meanwhile, in the last good baldur's gate
Not sure which way you meant that to be taken, but that looks godawful.
zoom
Good thing TES elves are really unique in a ton of ways, and their appearence is just one of the many distinctions
Is it me, or do Barbarians suck in the Early Access? At least the Beast class branch? Feels like it needs to be buffed majorly before full release
I got this game but I was going to hold off until it came out of EA, you know give time to iron out bugs and have some QOL mods.
Its been fricking years now, will it be officially out soon?
>Its been fricking years now, will it be officially out soon?
Son, they don't even have all the classes or races implemented and ph feats. You still got a bit.
Have you made sure to keep up on the canon stories for your favorite Baldur's Gate™ characters? It's very modern and does inclusive things like turning Cernd and Kivan into gay lovers!
What's wrong with his head?
Someone give me a quick rundown on Tieflings. Am I based or cucked for choosing this race as my character?
Cucked. Tieflings arent human.
brb, starting a new game in EA real quick
So are half elves still the best race?
have these gays released the rest of the game yet or is it still only 1/3 finished?
They are not going to go past act 1 in the EA. But you already knew that you disingenuous owlBlack person.
I dont know what owls have to do with anything but this game has been on my steam wishlist for 3 fricking years, and I want to know when the hell it's ever going to be out of early access IF EVER
In case you are being genuine, the game will leave early access when the entire game is done. Larian EA is typically the first act on repeat as they add and tweak things for players to frick around with. That's why it's still full price even in EA, it's a glorified pre-order with beta access basically.
>the game will leave early access when the entire game is done
yeah ok and when is the fricking game going to be done? this shit """released""" on steam in like 2018
probably Q2 2023 if i had to bet money on it
>this shit """released""" on steam in like 2018
2020 actually. October 2020.
It's been less than two years.
if this is anything like divinity os 2 than its gonna be amazing at launch. i played early access dos2 and i hated it but the full game was a lot different and better.
Which D&D race makes the best wife?
Gnome
elf
looking for anons to start a new game with on patch 8 (bard) when the Mac version releases(soon apparently?)
has been awhile since I played BG3 last, has the performance improved?
are they ever going to fricking RAISE THE LEVEL CAP
sure theres no act 2 yet, whatever
but let me fricking get to 5/6+ and dick around with more shit, why the frick am i still stuck at level 4, who the frick cares let me level up you dipshits, i dont even want to play the new stuff anymore until its higher
why are u still replaying a demo moron. i got 50 hours and i only did a playthrough on the first patch and have no intention of replaying until full launch.
because playing differently is fun?
because you can drastically alter events?
why do you replay any game?
why would u replay a game? its already conquered, i bet u sleep with the same women more than once u fricking weirdo.
i wish anon, i wish
i'm glad they've confirmed they're giving the custom PC their own plot relevance unlike DOS2
was the claim that a non-gith PC was bhaalspawn's kid ever substantiated aside from the initial datamining
>was the claim that a non-gith PC was bhaalspawn's kid ever substantiated aside from the initial datamining
They should not do that imo
Leave it a blank state or nearly a blank state with importance in some other way.
I'm holding out hope that they retcon via "clarification" that absolute insult that wizards pulled on Chaarname.
At this point I don't give a shit how, since anything would make more sense than the moronic drivel they spewed out
im sick of save the world and this big happening become a hero grandiose bullshit. just let me be a character in the world and give me free reign of what i wanna do instead of shoving some convoluted trash storyline down my throat. skyrim without ever touching the dragonborn main storyline is a much better game.
>Hello, my name is Odin, and I like Slice-of-Life anime
That's nice. I ended up playing with some friends as one of the origin characters in DOS2 and they played customs and it was pretty lame being the only one with a side story.
>boot up a bard run
>take taunt cantrip because of course you would
>proceed to relentlessly bully the infernal commander while the mindflayer reams his butthole for me
What kind of demon overlord lets a limp-wristed homosexual with a flute get the better of him?
By Azura?
tempted to fug the halfling companion when she comes out
