>We're all very enthused by your feedback. It's very rewarding. Our focus now is fixing any issues you report, but we are listening to suggestions. Current roadmap: a) Hotfix 4, b) Patch 1 (+1000 fixes and tweaks), c) Patch 2. The latter will already incorporate some requests.
Uhh.... I thought the discourse around BG3 is that it's a polished game? Why does a polished game need a patch roadmap?
because its a fricking gay shilled game that is shit
the only entertainment to be had is watching ecelebs go omg penis b lol
Its a polished game because you polish knobs throughout it, thats the core gameplay
the combat and RPG mechanics are all just side content
Only issue I've seen is the UI disappearing a couple of times. Otherwise it's been great.
I had a good one where the game softlocked because one party member was recognized as being in and out of combat simultaneously, so his turn could never end and he could take no further actions.
Have you reached act 3? The game gets super buggy at that point. It's still fun, but all the posting about how the game is super polished is funny in retrospect.
I've been playing act3 for 30 hours and I never encountered a single bug. The performance went down but that's it and to be expected since it's a town full of 100+ npcs instead of a room of only 5 NPCs.
>I've been playing act3 for 30 hours and I never encountered a single bug.
If my quest log is to believed, a quest breaks the second you enter Rivington.
>performance went down but that's it and to be expected
lol
I had no bugs.
People have started completing the game now, you're going to need a new talking point.
More buggy, yes, but I wouldn't say "super" buggy.
Every other act 3 quest has progress breaking bugs
Does healing her fix it?
Yes if you heal her to full before talking to her and reveal her disguise
crpgs are never polished/bugfree (no software is) and nobody claimed as such.
stop making up strawman bait arguments.
frick off moron.
stfu homosexualt. people were calling it polished, and the game was extremely buggy in act 3, with frequent crashes and quest bugs.
It's polished.
Then Act 2 starts.
Act 2 is fine. Act 3 is where the real problems occur.
The game really needs an actual transmog system. Switching between camp clothes and armor isn't good enough.
store clothes in pouch, instantly apply from camp strongbox.
that's like 4 clicks, maybe 8 if you do 2 characters.
Transmog was one of the dumbest things ever added to gaming. You want to look a certain way, but don't like the stats?
Wah. Deal with it.
People get hit by the problem of
>this gear is better, but looks worse. what do I value more?
which is an interesting friction of performance and fashion. Then they just start screeching about transmog because they don't want to solve that problem themselves, they want the game to solve it for them.
It's the same sort of moronation that leads to level scaling and statless levelup systems in other RPGs, in a way. People encounter areas they're underleveled for, so what they do? "Wahhh, I need the game to solve it for me, please add level scaling". People encounter a stat levelup screen and they realize they're going to have to think about how they build their character? "Wahh, I need the game to solve it for me, just make it autodistribute the stats"
The game already has a system in place for swapping appearances. You can choose whether or not it shows your armor or your camp clothes. You can even choose to go naked while still having armor stats. I don't see the problem with adding to what is already there. Might as well do it if you're already halfway there.
moron take.
I don’t have a problem with whatever belt you equip not altering your appearance and just making alternate skins unlockable.
Why didn't everyone in LOTR wear the best armor sets in the world? The story would be so much cooler if they all looked exactly the same.
>patch 2 adds requests
I imagine the #1 is an appearance editor and customizing hirelings. Inventory stuff too.
Because it isn't actually polished, the early parts of the game simply weren't falling apart at release.
Anyone saying it was polished was a disingenuous spammer trying to "own the chuds."
Unfortunately, I think there's a decent chance they won't add customizable hirelings, while also "fixing" the multiplayer workaround by disabling it. All to make sure you engage with their shitty OC hirelings and the companions they invested resources into.
I NEED to respec my character's appearance. How the frick can you not include something this basic
They released it like two months early and I've ran into under a dozen bugs, they weren't even big deals I just had to reload.
Personally I like that they're trying to fix issues but you do you
I had a bug where the cliud sync wouldnt end so I had to quit out of the game
It's amazing that a game with over 2000 fixes planned in post release patches STILL released more polish than every AAA release in the past 10 years.
was this made by the same artist who makes all the art for every single mobile game ad?
>no in game curse to buy with real money
>game does good
>AAA right it down they do the same then add it later
this is exactly what is gonna happen and i hope it frick explodes
>more polish than every AAA release in the past 10 years.
thats lie
For example Switch games are really well polished on launch day
Tears of the Kingdom patches mainly focuc only on the duplication glitch kek
Mostly EA and Ubisoft hate their players
when are they fixing minthara's romance?
which patch will enable the Series S/X version?
You'll be waiting for another year at best.
the game had issues on xbox because of performance right? they just need to add fsr 2.
Give it three years. Why don't you own a PC or PS5, you dipshit? Why did you waste your money on the only console that has nothing unique to offer?
i don't think the series s will ever be able to run splitscreen coop personally, and xbox demands parity of features
It took 3 years of public beta testing to get Act 1 where it is now.
>3 years
>no circlekick/cleave build for monk
Pain
It's a waste of efforts because no one actually plays it anyway
What's the likelihood that the "requests" contain anything good and not just more fujo and gay pandering?
Minthara fixed with her content restored
>Minthara_State_ChildIsSomeoneElses
So cuckoldry WAS in the game
>ntr kino
If I kneeled any harder I'd pop out in China
Ay yo pregnancy? If that's actually going to be in the game then we finally have a proper modern RPG with pregnancy. ABOUT TIME.
Game will be perfect then.
>if you ever play again
I already finished the game, you Black folk.
Oh that makes sense. I romance all the women. It's fantasy after all and the conquest of women is my most desirable fantasy.
Especially now that my girlfriend dumped after a relationship of six years because she feels I deserve better. Whatever the frick that means.
it means she was moronic
It means she didn't like you and wanted to be as nice about it as possible
Yeah I just figured she couldn't bring herself to be attracted to my ugly ass anymore.
It's a nice way of saying she's trading up unfortunately because you didn't meet her standards.
Yeah I thought something similar.
I have a good career, education, my own house, I'm in shape blablabla. But I am ugly.
She's been on and off unemployed, tried being a streamer in between jobs, and is currently working part-time as a cashier at a store.
Wish my face just looked normal so I didn't have these problems. An ugly face really devalues anything you do.
zero. i played the game. it is nothing but people being gay and sucking wieners. it's terrible. it's lke klaus schwab himself created this game
I still haven't seen a single wiener or homosexual sex scene and I'm halfway through my second playthrough.
It will obviously be something that requires no effort, they're launching PS5 version in two weeks and it's another shitfest incoming.
Halfling Werewolf Romance added
I've ran into one quest bug that was easily remedied by healing the bugged 0 hp npc and a couple UI softlocks like the custom marker on the map interfering with waypoints and black-screening occasionally, but that's about it.
Not about to assert it's a polished game, but compared to D4, Destiny 2, W3 Deforged, any CoD in the past 8 years, Battlebit, Apex, Halo MCC, etc, etc. it's fairly smooth. And that is NOT a good thing, to be clear. Also the inventory management is objectively clunky and tedious, specifically in shops
There's a lot of places where the numbers displayed don't properly update, including character creation.
For a game of this size they still managed to deliver something relatively polished. Nothing game breaking but minor issues here and there.
If this was literally any other modern PC release itd be nigh unplayable.
Literally look at every other major PC release and see just how utterly broken those releases are.
the part of the game that's been in early access for years is pretty polished (the first third to half)
my friend says the game is a mess once you get to baldur's gate
Act 1 is polished, act 2 is decent and act 3 is a complete mess of ass performance and myriad of bugs and oversights. Just the amount of sequence breaking and the game thinking you did certain things when you didn't is absurd.
Yeah Act 3 is where all the freedom of choice starts to bite the game in the ass.
>Act 1 is polished
lol
lmao
let me repost
>astarion suddently kills the monster hunter
>speak with the corpse
>corpse reveal astarion is a vampire and knows where the children of the monster hunter are
>nobody questions astarion about him being a vampire or a child kidnapper
>everything goes on as nothing happened
>figure out Asstarion is a vampire
>meet monster hunter
>warn Asstarion
>literally no follow up
I'm not sure if something was supposed to happen or not
Go back and talk with him with Astarion in the party dingus
He was no longer there and I'm already at Act 3
Then you missed out on a really useful crossbow
You can sell out Astarion to the monster hunter ONLY after he revealed he's a vampire and he's in the party when you talk to him. If you go to the monster hunter before the reveal Astarion will just stab him in the eye.
If you kill Karlach without talking to her, Wyll still has a crisis of conscience as if you had talked to her.
>Contrarians so bearbroken by Baldur's Gate that they attack it for receiving post-launch patches
A game after three years of paid beta shouldn't have t-posing goblins in the first act.
that was more like paid alpha, release is more like paid beta.
when they eventually release enchanted edition THAT will be the complete game.
That's neat, I guess.
Thank you for buying and betatesting. Waitchads win once again.
Never play a Larian game on initial launch.
Enhanced Edition with some patches is the point where their games become playable.
Modding tools when
karlach coolant when?
Larian build
Just wait a year for the Enhanced version just like DOS1 and 2.
i think people say it's a complete game, not a 100% polished game
Did anyone have a bug with their adamantium items changing to a different forge item in their next play session?
>polished game
lmao its literally
LITERALLY
buggier than cyberpunk 2077
the fact there's no outrage at all over how buggy the game is, has proven beyond any shadow of a doubt to me that the negativity about cyberpunk being buggy was entirely artificial and astroturfed here by a marketing agency, because not a single one of the people who made a fuss with webms being spammed showing how 'buggy' cyberpunk was, have made a reappearance here with bg3 which I have had an objectively worse, by an order of magnitude, experience with.
I think the major difference is that cyberpunk was/is buggy throughout the game from the intro to the end while bg3 hid its bugs into the third act, and since most people do not finish games, less people will get to the buggy part ä.
i had one bug so far where gale got a necrotic aura that didnt wear off and it killed shadowheart during a long rest
It's harder to show off bugs for this game. It's just shit like quest progress not working, it can't be showed off in a webm
I'm 99% certain the "bugs" in most of the cyberpunk webms were from some dipshit actually editing the game to intentionally break it so he could post the epig webms on Ganker for shitposting clout
The major difference is that I haven't had even a tenth the amount of bugs, let alone game-breaking bugs that forced me to reload saves, in cyberpunk contrasted with bg3. This game is buggier than cyberpunk, by a long shot.
Every idiot moron who b***hed and whined about how buggy cyberpunk is - dead silent right now. Nowhere to be found. There's no bandwagon for those morons to jump on with this game being buggy.
holy shit, I didn't know CDPR employees post on Ganker
CDPR employees aren't even allowed out of the coding mines to sleep, you think they're allowed time to shitpost?
The latest CP2077 patch is less buggy than BG3 hotfix 3
If BG3 were made by cd projekt red people everywhere would cry that it is so buggy
I would like the hidden helmets to stay hidden on the inactive party members. I'm starting to get really annoyed with having to constantly manually click it to stay hidden each time I swap. Also, why isn't there a hotkey to split a stack?
hold shift while dragging an item
are they going to add to the atrocious ending? what the frick was that? there was no variations at all, no ending slides, no companions saying anything, no nothing. That has to be bugged, where did the 17,000 variations of the ending was for??
Main character's race * his haircut * his armor * companions in the final battle. Here are your variations, bro.
nah, but it's as if our choices throughout acts 1 2 and 3 didn't t matter. what became of the druids?? astarion just runs off and it's treated as a joke. act 3 has to be bugged, im surprised more of anons aren't talking about how bad it was
>I thought the discourse around BG3 is that it's a polished game?
One of the buggiest games released this year, the review scores just prove that the "journalists" didn't bother playing past Act 1. Act 3 is a mess, better save every 5 minutes or have your progress be wiped by a bug.
There better be a quick party swap button added
I don't know why the frick they thought that
>Loading screen
>Walk to and dismiss NPC
>Walk to and recruit NPC
>Loading screen
would be acceptable
And the loading screens are fricking long, even on an SSD
How long until the paid DLCs ?
Is the magic sniper or whatever the feat is called fixed?
>talk to the hag in baldurs gate
>tells me she will decorate the room with my guts
>conversation ends
>hag has 0/XXX hp
>just walks around the room and rambles to herself
>cant even speak to her, clicking on her does nothing
Yet another bug
>doing another playthrough
>withers doesn't spawn in the crypt when I open the tomb
Owari da...
>1000 fixes
bu bu bu this is supposed to change the industry and it's supposed to be great and bug free at release?!?!?!?!
I would still say it's polished and complete, but there are bugs in anything. Usually it comes down to the minute math, like how on my Monk I seem to have the same Ki save DC no matter what my Wis is, and even a lower DC with high Wis? Odd, but far from game breaking.
Larian not sticking the landing is sorta par for the course if you played their other games. Odds are you played the 'enhanced' edition of Original Sin 1/2 if you played them, 2 was infested with bugs on launch too, so I'm not really surprised, nor worried since they did eventually fix them and the game's still fine.
Not that it isn't worth complaining about though, because you had time to iron this out, even if act 3 wasn't in EA. Part of me wonders if WotC was pressuring them to hurry up and release it so they can announce another companion product, since the game missed the D&D Movie's run. iirc it was suppose to be out earlier this summer.
I mean game is good but its dick move from larian studios that you pay 60$ and you are only beta tester
I dont really know how they didnt fix some of stuff before release
The game has such good ratings because I doubt the reviewers were in act 2 or 3
>why does a polished game need a roadmap?
Because they didn’t have enough time to include the Minthara pregnancy plotline
What about all the cut content and half finished quests?
Outside of the camera having a seizure every so often, it's been running like butter for me.
people are arguing with each other because of upcoming patches.
meanwhile me who is still unable to play, because homosexuals in GOG still "fixing" their server issues (its been already 4 days!!!) and game stuck when 92% downloaded
wdym gog server issues?
everything is working fine for me there
If it's a server issue then what's stopping you from from jumping on any public vpn so gog switches you to a different CDN?
>inb4 b-but it's le slow
Can't be slower than literally 0 bytes pet second.
You frogBlack folk are mentally deficient.
god, i hate homosexuals like you.
i payed 60 EU for what? With this attitude I am better to pirate this piece of troony shit game.
Allah is punishing me for giving money to that degenerate Swen.
>frogBlack person is also a troon-obsessed sissy
Color me shocked.
You're the one crying about not being able to download the game, I gave your moron ass a solution anybody with half a working brain would've been able to come up with, and yet you still cry. What a b***h.
Paid*
You fricking mutt.
I remember you
Just pirate it already bro
The only serious bug I encountered in my first playthrough was self-inflicted though mods.
This is more than I can say for every cRPG in the past 10 years.
Larian Studios is a 2 person development team that barely scraped together a game in 3 years of Early Access on Steam. Please be patient.
>2 person development team
it was 450 people team
On the one hand I hate myself for waiting for the PS5 version.
On the other hand I'm glad a lot of the issues will be addressed until then.
Don't worry, you will have your own exclusive bugs.
more reasons to hate on Sony? sounds good!
Act 1 and 2 were polished, 3 is a mess. I think that's why they held back review copies since otherwise journalists would've gotten to 3 in time to say the game had issues
Absolutely. Most games send out review copies a month before release, sometimes even earlier. This game waited until 4 or 5 days before release despite probably being the longest game of the year. They knew those journos would, wanting to push their reviews out as quickly as possible to make money, review the game on the basis of only the most early, most polished content. Few if any of the reviewers have set foot in Baldur's Gate, let alone finished the game.
The vast majority of reviewers don't play more than 25% of a game anyways
>they think the reviewers would even play past act 1
It doesn't really matter in this case.
I really think you're assuming malice when it's more likely incompetence. I don't think they were trying to 'hide' it, that implies a sort of intent to deceive that I don't think is there, or else why put effort into any of it? People would still buy it and praise it sheerly because of branding and the legacy of the games before (like some already are doing now). They rushed the ending out a little half baked, but they're also known for doing a lot of free post release support for their games, so I don't doubt it'll get fixed.
holding back review copies so evil move
and world didn't even care
imagine someone else big do it
people would be mad
It's so hard to find a reviewer who plays more than 15-20 hours before leaving a review
>trying to find Wyll’s dad to save him
>get in so many fights I say frick it and just long rest
>next day demon b***h wants to talk
>apparently I managed to save him
What the frick happened? I didn’t even find him.
Fix the enemy guards killed condition bug already
I'm worried, I'm on the start of act 2 and my game is already a mess. Dialogue triggers are all fricked, Halsin and Gale thinks we are having sex and some lighter stuff for Shadowheart and Karlach.
And they really fricked up by having most events being tied to sleeping, I only got the Shadorheart/Lae'zel fight when both were on exceptional and fair on the relationship with me, the scene barely made sense.
>tfw being israeli with my supplies and only long resting when I absolutely had to fricked up my game too
Sorry man but you gotta delete that character
I started long resting whenever I could just because of that. It's a big reason not to play on Tactician, since Tactician doubles the cost of a long rest.
Lmao
Just do partial rests so you don't waste supplies but still get events homie
I can't believe that they released Act 3 in this condition, holy shit. Anyone giving this shit 10/10 score clearly just played act 1
Based on what people are saying about Act 2/3 it really feels like this is a Xenogears situation where almost half the game is extremely rushed and borderline unplayable.
It's playable but that only makes it worse in this case.
It's obvious the most time was spent on Act 1. There's little to do in Act 2 and most of the setpiece fights can be resolved with a You Should have a nice day...Now! speech check so you're left with massacring Moonrise which is less designed encounters and more just slaughtering social npcs outside the Zrell fight at the gate. Then Act 3 you're at the level cap and vastly more powerful but 80% of the time the game still thinks you're like level 7 or 8 or something and you get suffocated under a writhing mass of irrelevant npcs and social quests with the occasional bit of buggy garbage (you're better off not bothering with any of the Gortash quests unless you want the entire city randomly on your ass). There's just way too much in Baldur's Gate and majority of it is not that interesting and most players are ready to wrap up by the end of Act 2 anyway. BG1 had a similar issue but there you could ignore the copy paste houses and be on with your life in 5-10 hours
