Sometimes the AI doesn't know what to do. Late game it's more an issue but even then it's not major; worst of it has been patched out it seems, like plenty of other bugs.

I tried playing the game but i had to uninstall it. the file size takes up way too much disk space. although i didnt like the combat, this game had some seriously great gameplay between the exploration, deceiving people with disguises, open ended quests, puzzles, etc. Basically everything besides the main function of the game was good gameplay that was very enjoyable.
The characters were cringe and lacked the charm that cringe rpg characters usually have, they are also really annoying about flirting with or trying to kill you if you dont deliberately and harshly turn them down so i see why they have such a terrible reputation. Regardless i could tolerate them and understand they were written for a different audience.
What i couldnt tolerate was how awful this game ran. For how big of a file bg3 is, i expected decent performance but it runs like absolute shit and constantly either freezes or slideshows during combat. god forbid there are particles or explosions or dynamic lighting and the game shits itself. It also has so many bugs but i did play on release so maybe they were patched out but you couldnt go an hour in this game without something like a temporary effect never wearing off, npcs that were dead showing up, enemies in combat taking upwards of a minute to do their action for the turn, npcs killing themselves, the whole game was constantly making you reload because of glitches. I uninstalled by act 2, the game was so unbearable

He also knows that under all the marketing there's actually nothing redeeming about BG3, it's just DOS 2 again. He also knows the game is completely unfinished.

Bg3 made little to no improvements to immsim elements, the 5e adaptation is overshadowed by Solasta's.
