No one specifically, but the scores they gave at the end >PS1 = 4 stars (out of 5) >Saturn = 3 stars >N64 = 4 stars
You can read it yourself at the web archive if you wanna know exactly what they said >https://archive.org/details/NextGeneration24Dec1996
Pretty sure they got every issue too
Crash is still plenty popular.
Unlike Mario and Sonic, he wasn't owned by Sony, he was created by Naughty Dog but Universal owned the IP until they sold it to Activision.
crash got dumped by naughty dog because they didnt actually own the rights, they just made the games. sony was done with them, so they sold it off to activision who didnt want to just rehash the same old thing. little did they know, the same old thing is what fans wanted, so after a long string of failures, they just shelved it. i have no doubt it would have stayed popular if the original devs stuck with it. spyro has basically the same exact story.
>Sega also commissioned a version of the game for the Sega Saturn in case Sonic X-treme was canceled. This cancellation did indeed occur, so Sonic 3D Blast was safely released in time for Christmas 1996 in its stead. The game was ported in seven weeks, during development of the Sega Genesis version.
>Big Fight! >in reality it was just Crash assraping Mario and Sonic so hard that Nintendo turned into a permanent kiddie console company that shovels out underpowered shit and Sega went third party
Not much of a fight
The only time that Nintendo competed in hardware was the snes. That was because their console came out a few years after the genesis. Know your history before you fricking talk.
Gamecube had them try to compete with the others and it actually came close, it just got gimped by its tiny discs as a desperate anti-piracy attempt
After that it was permanently downhill
>Gamecube competed >Did ok >Wii didnt compete >Sold gangbusters >Wii U competed >Was DOA >Switch didnt compete >Is about to become the best selling console of all time
Bros...its almost as if the games matter not the specs...
Are you stupid?
The N64 specifically focused on graphics beacause some big-up said that the ps1's graphics were ass
The gc was as powerful as the PS2 but it was gimped due to the discs
Not by much since N64 games generally look like poo poo smeared in vaseline, they also run pretty damn bad.

>unflitered 5th gen games
It was crazy how the Playstation came out if nowhere and big dicked everyone.
I went from SNES to N64. What the hell does Sony know about games!
Sony already published games and they did work on console hardware before the PS1, for example Kutaragi was the guy who designed the soundchip of the SNES
who did they predict to win

Sonic won.
How come Crash gradually died in popularity while Mario and Sonic are still world-renowned icons?
Mario has evergreen normalgay appeal, Sonic was carried hard by autism.
Crash is still plenty popular.

Sony didn't need Crash, Sega and Nintendo need their mascots.
Because the original developer left it. Ratchet still gets games because Insomniac still wants to develop those games.
Looks fugly. At least Sonic looked great before SA1.

Sony? Wasn't it was Universal who sold the rights?
If only we got this in our timeline
>Crash 4 model
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
>saturn didn't even have a sonic game
segabros...
The Saturn version of 3D Blast is fricking aesthetic.
That pond is fricking adorable
SOUL/Soulless
>Act 2
isnt this a genesis game

Next Generation was probably the best gaming magazine ever, a bit biased in favor of Sega but other than that they were professional.

It was even more underpowered than the Shitch
>>Wii U competed
absolutely bizarre cope
Are you stupid?
The N64 specifically focused on graphics beacause some big-up said that the ps1's graphics were ass
The gc was as powerful as the PS2 but it was gimped due to the discs
The N64 came out like two years after the PS1 and Saturn came out, no shit it was overall more powerful but not by much.
>not by much
Fricking lol
Not by much since N64 games generally look like poo poo smeared in vaseline, they also run pretty damn bad.
Ok

Both look like ass, 5th gen was the era of early 3d and nothing can change that.
If spyro was there he'd be a cinche to win
It was crazy how the Playstation came out if nowhere and big dicked everyone.
I went from SNES to N64. What the hell does Sony know about games!
Sony was a fricking global electronics producer, not some toy company.
No shit, the PS1 raped everything.
Who are these people?
