At this point GTA is rockstar only game because red dead while it was a success it didn't play out with the online aspect and will probably be indefinitely benched to make way for GTA six online
If 6's iteration of GTAO doesn't financially surpass 5's at a fast enough rate, which is probably likely considering the wild growth expectations the industry is still holding while the bubble is bursting, it's going to decimate T2 divisions even more heavily
most of why I liked BioShock was Rapture, but with 2 just being more Rapture, it never really grabbed me, because it felt like I'd seen it all before. Though it's not like a new setting was a means of success, either, because I thought Infinite was complete dogshit
No one working on GTAVI directly would get axed. Most you could hope for would be some of the Rockstar marketing and publishing people in NYC, but even then I'd doubt it.
Take2 makes most of their cash from sports shit like NBA Live (which is basically a gacha game at this point) and GTA, so they're not touching that golden goose. It'll probably be idiots at Private Division and Gearbox that get cut.
