This game is bad. I liked it on PSP back in the day. Tried it on the hD collection and it was trash. I think it's only good if you play it in short spurts and don't compare it to real console games.

It has kino moments, but the overall experience is extremely overrated and is easily the most overrated KH entry.
Nah KH2 is far and away the most overrated game in the series, to the point that its obnoxious fans pick fights with other action game franchises. BBS gets a lot of hate.

The camera was clearly not designed for that kind of gameplay, which ruins it entirely. CoM works because you see Sora and the location of the Heartless at all times.
why does that matter when attacks are announced by a card, and playing a 0 instantly interrupts that attack regardless of timing of spacing
I played through the entirety of Re:COM and had a much better time than playing it on GBA. It's incredibly strange to me how much people overstate the camera issue when the deck scrolling in the original was far more cumbersome. Being able to skip to the reload card was a godsend AND you even have a shortcut card you can skip to. Being able to do two card sleights without needing to be on the reload card was another welcome change.
I honestly don't get it either. I understand having nostalgia for the original, it's a very nice looking game and was very novel for trying to cram a console action RPG into a handheld but it hasn't aged well mechanically. Don't even get me started on having to grind for hours to get a single card to open a door, another issue alleviated by the remake with Roulette Rooms and Random Jokers.
I feel that way about Recoded.
It's a good game, and it's one of the best PSP games. It just gets a lot of hate because of a handful of autistic speedrunner fans and newbies who've only touched the HD collection and compare it negatively to the console games.

it's not that good until you get to the endings of the episodes + final episode + secret episode + the entirety of 0.2
so it's the average KH experience, the ending of the game is the best part
