/bdog/ was a cesspool, and it always has been, no one plays the game, they just rp. Game is as it always is, unbalanced with devs that lack vision and don't really care for feedback that isn't Korean. Good theme park for a newbie though, hundreds of hours of exploring and discovery before they realize how unpolished the game is and drop it. I still like it though, I made friends through pvp, usually the whiny players are those that don't even try it or cry when they get involved in a guild war

BDO combat is at its best in PvP and when you're either discovering the class moveset or just dicking around when you're farming.
Feels unintuitive for a while but you get used to it and then it feels natural. knowing a class like the back of your hand feels so good compared to other mmos

Not him, but Archeage probably had the best ocean content in any MMO. Ghost ships, diving for treasure, floating up sunken cargo ships...
You could make flippers and a diving mask, you could also farm the ocean ruins for urns and get a special pair of better stuff, so much cool content in those oceans.

BDO has most of this or at least the foundation to implement it, only problem is there's 0 reward for actually partaking in any ocean content right now whilst also having to worry about no-lifers ganking you while at sea. imo they should make upgraded compass, treasure map, and merchant's ring obtainable from some other form of content besides grinding mobs.

Wait till the alch stone upgrade isnt worth 10 bil anymore and you'll see a drastic drop in silver/h. Hexe is like 250mil/h in trash and 700mil/h in alch stone fragments. Same with quints.
After a few months as prices drop both Centaurs and Kraguta both give more silver/h than this. Oluns is already 1bil/h and gyfin will remail 800mil/h.

How accurate really are Garmoth stats? Almost every time I try to compare what I get to it I way underperform on trash, while way overperforming on rest of the loot table (with the same kind of scroll). I'm not sure whether it's me just not clearing fast enough and just getting carried by drop rate increases (I tend to have them somewhat high) or people just infllating their trash numbers by using Agris fever. I tend to inclinate towards mostly the latter, but I really can't tell.
It's using user-generated data to come up with a prediction of how much trash you're getting per hour.
One of the things that users don't need to provide and Garmoth doesn't list as a global stat is what pets you're using. Therefore, you'll have to assume that these numbers are based on a full squad of T4 pets on agile. Having anything less than that would mean that you're gonna be getting less trash than the global average, no matter how quickly you clear packs.
The issue is probably with your pets not being at T4, since the slower loot rate is lowering the ceiling on how much trash you're picking up.
No, all my pets are agile and T4. Also even if they were not, then it wouldn't help answering the discrepancy between the amount of general and trash loot.

I don't think you're understanding what I'm asking about. It's not about why I'm not getting enough trash loot, but why I'm not getting enough trash loot, while getting way, WAY more general loot than I should be getting in comparison. If my clear/pickup speed was subpar by itself, then my general loot shouldn't be too far off from the ratio of my trash loot. I guess I didn't log my figures precisely, but over the course of time I could be getting somewhere from 75-90% of the trash loot listed (depending upon the spots), while getting anywhere from like 30-50% more of general loot, which is just off. I can see that being combination of trash loot being somewhat inflated by agris fever (I'm not counting in agris fever for the purposes of calculations), while getting benefits of more item drop rate than the general populus uses, but even then it might be slightly too extreme to be the case as I have hard time seeing how could I be getting nearly as much additional item drop rate.
It's probably because of Agris fever then, and it isn't a small boost.
A fully completed Agris fever pumps up trash numbers by 150%. In comparison, Agris before any of the quests are done only gives 50% more trash. Agris matters a LOT.
As for the general loot, it might just be because you're getting lucky or there's another account/server buff or event that you didn't account for.

Doesn't sounds like it'd be worth it for PA. It'd probably have to be something like individually selling it as an item similar to outfits/costumes and even then it's kind of doubtful. I'm not sure that there'd be enough of a demand for it and if it was monetized heavily it probably wouldn't be too great PR or too popular and without heavy monetization it's way too much effort for not that much gain. Trying to start getting involved into something like this while the game is close to maintenance mode instead of just chirning out outfits (that people kind of even had to demand to be released more) is not likely to happen, but I'm obviously willing to be proved wrong. It's just that general modeling and animation work in the game looks like to be a b***h to do, especially with this many classes and more to likely come in the future, so doing more of it without heavy returns doesn't seem too plausible, hell, even if PA was willing to go for it and for free I probably wouldn't be all too thrilled about it as I'd much rather see dev times being spent on something else gameplay related.

got all my tuvala to TRI but only my main weapon to PEN. i yoloed alot of high level failstacks on my awakened weapon and am back to TRI on it.
i still have so many more parts to PEN but have no clue how to approach this, i am out of high level advice of valks, i could farm more tuvala mats but they only help until TRI...
Are you following some sort of failstack chart? You can use the Refined Stones for guaranteed DUO -> TRI, so you can just bounce from TRI->TET endlessly. If you need more mats there will be a event for it, but with pass you get one guaranteed TET -> PEN (which I guess you used on your main hand), then lot of mats from the weeklies and rifts. Fughar also gives tons of pretty good failstacks once per season. If you can't make all to PEN before the end you might want to at least do your weapons as you can make PEN Tuvala the following season and just transfer it with ease.
You should still have plenty of time to get everything to pen.
Try to get weapons to pen, then at least 1 piece of armor because they allow pen tuvala trade-in for boss gear.
To build failstacks, get an extra piece of tuvala armor just to fail on to get stacks.

right now for low ap areas as an awakening valk you hold down two buttons rmb+space to grind fast and comfy. cant say anything about endgame spots tho.
In areas where u one or twoshot enemies she is the fastest if not second fastest (because nova awakening exists) by just holding 2 buttons. For anything higher ap she is also in the upper part of the tierlist depending on the spot. Her awakening skill rotation is also much less sweaty than other classes. Very comfortable class with high defense, and decent sustain with heals and an easy pull with her aoe taunt. Has some mp and stamina issues if you mismanage that but much better already than some of the other classes. Has some party utility too in case u ever play group content. The con however is that you will fall through the map more often tha most other classes.

I kind of forgot that most of the boosted silver comes from just trash loot, which is just empty raw silver instead of items, which creates an imbalance that could feed into the rest of the items increasing in price. This is the best we're gonna get. Being a poll, the results it shows may not be entirely accurate due to being too simplified or because of the participant population. It doesn't even differentiate between Awakening/Succession movesets, but a little bit of research can solve that.
Basically, Awakening Guardian and Succession Lahn are the two that are considered to be the best for PvE.
Awakening Guardian has slow animations, very few combos, but great AoE and raw damage. Easy to play, hard to mess up with.
Succession Lahn has a lot of AoE that also provides protection and is also a simple class to handle.
Awakened Tamer, Succession Nova, and Succession Sage are widely considered to be the worst for various reasons. Awakened Tamer for example doesn't have much AoE and lacks protection on the vast majority of her moves.
I know about the poll, but it's beyond useless in my mind. Voting on what's best does almost nothing to differentiate between classes below the top tier. At best it'll give you the idea what's considered the best and/or most popular, which really doesn't say anything about what's bad and how bad it is.
It's just that I've gotten a couple of pretty good upgrades recently, but it still doesn't seem to be as good as I would've expected it to be and I think I just might be missing something, though it just might be something in my mind, so I'm trying to find some pointers.
Either way it doesn't really matter as I'm pretty much locked to my class and even ascendancy, but it's tough to create estimations and expectations and to know whether I might be just doing something wrong without something to compare it to. Can't really use season character to do it as it's just on completely different gear level and while I can tag, I don't want to spend a decent chunk of silver to maybe get some sort of comparison if I take my time to actually learn a class that I don't even intend to play longer-term. Could maybe do during a tag event, but who knows it'll ever come back anyway.
It might be that the upgrade didn't put you into a higher AP bracket, or that the bracket bonus was small.
It could also be a low accuracy issue if you're at higher end spots.
Nah, while I only jumped one bracket and the bracket bonus isn't that large anymore, there's a bunch of bonus monster AP with general AP and accuracy I've gained recently and the spots I've been to I should be having 100% hit rate and overgearing them in general. The thing is that now there isn't even that much more to go for beyond PEN Accesories, which I don't think are even that widespread even now, so while beforehand I kind of disregarded most possible concerns as me not having that great of a gear, it should like, pretty high up now. Maybe tons people are using specialized crystals for the spots or I'm just playing poorly in general, but I find that a little doubtful. Maybe I'm doing fine, but it just feels like I might be doing something wrong and I'm trying to figure it out. I guess it's really impossible to tell from the little information I've given and I don't expect some magical solution. I'm mostly kind of just mulling things over.

I've had preorders for limited outfits I wanted to wear that were at the pearl shop at the time for ages, but none went, so I just gave up and just started to buy stuff for cronning.
Other than that I've had pretty good gains last month. Hit Guru 50 cooking, tapped a PEN BS, dropped flame to craft Labreska's, finished my accessory cups, bought TET: Deboreka neck to hit 300AP, got a lightstone set I wanted and I'm about hit combat level 64 and Gathering Guru 1 (nether really do much of anything, but it's still somewhat of a milestone). Probably will try to TRI my Fallen God's armor and try preordering Deboreka Belt next. Also want to hit a T10 horse, but I can't even do any of the 10 attemps I have ferrns/flowers for, since there are no Mythical Feathers on the market.
Been P.O. Mythic feathers for a while now, got 15? total from it over a number of months. For limited outfits, gotta just wait for sales/peek when they're getting sold with low buy offers/price changes, like on this Shai one when it went from 495 > 530 and people didn't change as fast. Good progress though!
Black Desert is fricking weird man. It's a sandbox MMO which is inherently a social subgenre but Black Desert is probably the most unsocial game I've ever played. Lack of unpaid cosmetic progression doesn't help. Everyone treats it like over-the-shoulder Path of Exile grinding mobs.
It used to be a lot more social, this game was bustling once. I don't really know what happened and to this day I still don't understand why people talk less, since it's still just as grindy as it was before. It could be a combination of things. It's still holding pretty decent numbers but it feels like a ghost town. Last time I participated in nw around this time last year it felt like a joke compared to what it used to be.

You can just play in the meantime, maybe just finishing the main quest to be able to do the simplified version during the season. The game goes free quite often though and PA is likely to give away free passes during the start of next season.

i used unreasonably high stacks cause I have tons of them i will never use since I don't enhance gear anymore. still have a bunch of 100+ and 150+ stacks for labreska. If you're new just take your time in season, farm polly and low end inf pot spots (tshira, kagtums) cause the money is actually really good now

I want to pump out shai crafted costumes, and the Drieghanese one is gated behind Toddro in Eilton, but he has no conversation option, so you can't pump his amity enough to buy more than the one you get from the quest.
Just wave a lot, get energy potions if you need to. Amity is a trash mini game anyway, you're not missing out

With gold LS and agris it's okay, you can get a handful of caphras too which adds to the value. If you get the flame but don't plan to do anything with it, you can just sell it for 2b. The occasional Iridescent lightstone is nice too. It's like 600-700m/hr, but you can get spooked by valuable stuff once in a while

Iam lvl58 watched various videos and all of them use prime predatory hunt to switch to beast form. when i use the skill nothing happens. only way i can switch to beast is with the 3m cooldown skill itself which sucks. i guess i am missing something, read all the skills but can't find it.

it takes like 1-4 hours to get from 58-61 if you grind desert nagas with full tuvala gear. If you're rng blocked you can do the tome quest and then do a questline to go from 59-61 in like 4 hours.

Had a peek at the SEA notes for todays patch and there's like eight events, five new currencies, fifteen unique consumables, and twenty seven timed daily/weekly/hourly/biannual quests and shit.
Just the thought of trying to keep track of it all just to get a Coco box seems rather tiring. And then the coco box probably won't work on my shai and it'll all be a waste of time.

They're not doing so well, they're in the "play if you like her" category. Average at best in PvE and while she has potential to be good in pvp, getting gud with Tamer takes time, and why bother with that if other easier classes onetap people without fancy combos. I like her a lot though, kind of a shame she's in a rough spot right now

devs should get rid of the karma system. nobody likes dealing with it and it doesn't stop people from pvping, it's just annoying for all parties. also they really need to fricking tone down the massive gear gap power for open world and pvp modes so players don't have to worry so much about getting gear checked and thus forcing them to focus solely on pve if they want to be able to hold their ground. they really should have put more emphasis on things like AoS and RBF as their primary pvp modes for all players as an entry-level taste of pvp, and nw/siege for the endgame players where the big bucks are.

i only just started grinding 2 weeks ago on my musa and i'm at 72/100 using tent buff and the occasional drop rate stuff they give out like every month. I just do my pen accessory daily there and maybe an extra hour if I don't have agris to go to centaurs. blood wolves is actually not bad money now which is why I started again since before I refused to step foot in the dogshit ugly spot. of course the money is rng but it's better than literally nothing like how it was before. If you don't want the inf pot then don't do it and don't worry about it simple as lol.

You don't need to at all if you reach level 61, as you get free base capotias and two tuvala accessories (one ring and earring) which completes fits every slot. You probably still should make them, and you might as well do it if you're gonna keep playing on season anyway. Just try not to spend too much on failstacks

How long does it take to get into PvPing in this game? Can I go in as a low level or will I have to grind an ungodly amount just to avoid getting curb-stomped?
Low end PvP is pretty much few weeks to few months, max out season gear plus a little bit.
High end PvP is going to be pay walled or ungodly amount of time grinding. About 1.5 years if you're diligent 8 hours a day grinding.
Just get 600 gearscore (270/330), get a feel for it and determine how you want to keep progressing. You can start doing T1 nodewars as low as 250ap, but finding a guild that will take you that low will be challenging, but there are quite a few. Something to keep in mind is that you WILL get curbstomped no matter what your gear looks like, so just go and have fun
Which of these would you recommend for a new player: Striker, Warrior, Berserker? I want one of the three, and I want to have fun, be competitive in PvP, but able to clear most of the PvE as a solo player. Any thoughts?

Striker is the easiest and pulls the best numbers in pve, warrior is the best 1v1er, zerk is best group pvper. They all do fine in pve though just pick which one you think is the coolest or if you plan on doing group pvp or not

Damn near any class that isn't Shai is endgame viable for PvE and PvP, find something that looks fun and have at it. If you're willing to put up with Discord homosexualry there's a public server maintained for every class in the game that can be a good jumping off point for someone looking to learn a class, most of them will have comprehensive class/gear/grind guides set up.
EvilDoUsHarm is the BDO youtuber of choice for the most part, has guides for close to every aspect of the game and speaks fluent and clear English unlike Chris Poli.

Musa has been legitimately top tier for PvP and PvE for months and Musa players have still been crying

She has literally never been weak. Any non DK player would rate her A tier at worst.
She was gutted within like a month of her release and was bad up until the class reworks, no? That's what I've gathered from every dk player I've ever met lol. I vaguely remember her getting destroyed by nerfs a long time ago and DK players b***hed ever since then. For a while I saw some good succ dk players before her rework but besides that the only scary DKs I've met were giga geared and refused to reroll, other than that I've never had problems fighting them until their major buff.

That just says how many DKs have been created but not how many are actively played. Barely any DKs in nw, siege, rbf, ba, aos etc. I legit see more ppl playing nova and lolsage in pvp than I do dks. I rarely see them grinding, seems like most of them are lifeskill alts. Some of these numbers completely dwarf the amount zerks have, yet there are tons of zerks running around because they are meta. There are way more people who grind on striker and guardian. Idk what EU is like but dk mains have always been uncommon in NA.

550 GS (240 AP/309 DP) is about maxed out Season gear, all TET boss gear basically.
You'll need PEN everything as your next step, which is about 10 billion per piece for your 7 gear slots. TET accessories are about 8-12 billion each to upgrade from what you might already have from season gear.
You'll need to grind about 70 bil for armor + weapons, and 42 bil minimum for the 6 accessories slots.
Do-able in only a few months if you grind 6-8 hours a day.
You need to install all the mod tools, then setup directory paths for modding the game, then put the modded underwear .pac files into the correct directory paths, update the partscutdesc file from the discord, and run the mod (meta-injector).
