Does it count as a RPG? It's been compared to Dark Souls so I reckon yes.
Anyway what are the best mods for the game? I recently finished it and want more.

Just move on, it's not healthy.
Miyazaki never heard of this game before. Westoids have unwarranted self-importance. Anyway, I'd say it's in same ballpark as Zelda. Is Zelda an RPG?
>Anyway, I'd say it's in same ballpark as Zelda
Not at all. It has more in common with ducking Doom than with Zelda.
Yeah 3rd person action games on PC more or less evolved out of shooters, though Severance plays a bit less like a pc shooter in comparison to something like Rune or Jedi Outcast/Academy I guess.
>Westoids have unwarranted self-importance.
Mhmm
looks closer to Gothic than to any Souls-like
anyway, if you want more of this style action RPG, I'd recomend trying either Rune or Die by the Sword
>Gothic
Because they're both prime eurojanks?
It is an action game
>want more
There is none. You can thank soulsisraelite and moviehomosexualry for that.
Dodge roll into a grave, FromShovelware homosexual.
>I'd recomend trying either Rune or Die by the Sword
As a fellow boomer I'd also recommend Dark Vengeance, it's really old and abandonware at this point. Works flawlessly on Windows 10 via dgVoodoo2, you can even upscale it to 1080p or higher (4:3 though, no widescreen).

It's a very similar third person hack & slash with some minor RPG elements and 3 characters to choose from, each with a different campaign. A slow and heavy warrior, a magic user, and a speedy rogue type character. It's a pretty decent game if you enjoy retro gaming.
Also, Heretic II obviously.
>Heretic II
I've played Heretic 1 + Hexen years ago, is this one that different?
Yeah, Heretic II went to third-person perspective and had relatively fluid blade staff combat. Very different feel from the earlier games.
>looks closer to Gothic than to any Souls-like
In what fricking way
>I'd recomend trying either Rune or Die by the Sword
Neither of these are like Severance
>I recently finished it
if you did finish this turd game then you should know it's not a RPG you moronic homosexual zoom zoom
>turd game
Sound like someone couldn't beat it
>it's not a RPG
I dunno many games can slide into the "Action RPG" category. Regardless I thought a thread about this game on here would be more fruitful than on Ganker
your shitty contrarian thread about a shitty poser-core turd game belongs on Ganker
>Contrarian
>poser
How? I just said I liked the game, why are you even so upset?
Not an rpg, it had very little rpg elements iirc.
But it's not too far from soulsli... severancelikes and other action games that are counted as rpg-adjacent and as such fair game on /vrpg/.
I remember it was fun. I guess the hostile responses this game gets stem from some weird strain of weeabooism as it predates the souls games.
It was technically cool when it came out even though the foil water was always weird.
sus
friendly reminder
medieval fantasy setting =/= RPG
It's more action/adventure.
The Fugitive mods are good. The first one has a bit of obtuse level design and you might spend a long time running around trying to figure out what to do but parts 2 and 3 are better with that. I remember those specifically being pretty good. Most of the others are just okay but worth trying if you want more content.
Get the Mighty Dwarf mod if you want to play the Dwarf. You don't have to install everything it has, but it has some fixes for his axes which normally have really awful hitboxes.
>The Fugitive
holy shit that brings me back
did author ever release part 4?
Comment on moddb in 2018 from the creator saying he's still working on it.
No, it's a hack-and-slash game. Just like Dark Souls.
wait a sec

New Rance game confirmed!
