For as much as I dislike MBTL, at least MOST of its glaring issues were fixed within a year of release. I still won't go back to it because I dislike the combo/scaling system overall but at least it bothered to change autocombos to a toggle, nerfed shield, and add new moves to change up certain kits.

The one that reverted all the changes because I don't remember this. Because this seems like the only real complaint. As much as rollback was needed, retrofitting it to Arcsys spaghetti code was going to be tougher than making a new game with it outright.
I might've forgotten a couple details, but Kamone once said on one of his streams that they had another uniclr patch in the works, but patches required paying the publisher (in this case, arcsys) to go through, and they didn't have the money so the final uniclr patch never happened.
Guess CLR was the first real test of their console-only patch cycles now seeing as though patches like version 1.03 reverted some nerfs AND buffs across the cast. I imagine they could have had more leeway with this sort of thing back when the arcade versions were the testing grounds for this sort of thing.

For a little while I was so desperate to play fighting games I'd play anything. After reaching Master in sf6 it seems like the fun part of the game is over. It doesn't feel like learning much more is still fun, and I don't love the game enough to continue.

BB was the first fighting game I actually played more than a few hours and actually played outside of just story modes, it's probably my most played non-FPS/non-porn game, rollback is great and I am eager to keep playing it on and off in the years to come.
