Too expensive, if it was between $5-10 I would buy it
I mean, I'm not against it from a conceptual level at least.
I actually would love for fighting games to branch out with spin-offs into other genres in general because a lot of fighting games have really well defined, highly recognizable characters with detailed backstories. I've always felt it's a shame for those characters to only ever be seen in the super-limited context of fighting games and their dogshit story writing.
That said, something like an ARPG or Hack and Slash type game would be a better fit, maybe a turn based RPG could work depending on the franchise.
All that said, the game itself probably sucks hairy, stinky old man balls.
yeah. a turn based RPG that plays like your nowadays typical gacha RPG (Epic Seven) wouldve been perfectly servicable.
Another example of what you mentioned imo is the Dead or Alive series and how they dropped the facade to just pursue being horny joke party games.
Soul Calibur could probably do a lot better as a Dynasty Warriors-like.
Samurai Shodown had an RPG back in the day.
Meanwhile, virtually everyone and their mother sucked off Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks. Though I doubt this game is anywhere near as good.
the game feels alright but the story feels like the guys were making their own game but decided to rent the blazblue IP to slap it on the game for more sales.
Also the story is chinese only but the characters use their JP voices and the enemies also speak Japanese which is really weird
I would rather have them tell their weird robot apocalypse story and just have blazblue playstyles over raping blazblues story.
>raping blazblues story
>caring about comedy time traveling circus
>Hibiki
People actually like this bland gay?
IIRC he was in TOP-5, maybe even TOP-3 during popularity polls
I guess women really like this type of male characters
Guilty Gear did beat em up twice, and I loved it both times.
I'll get it once it's out of Early Access.
>no jap audio
This one sucks tho.
the BB characters all speak Japanese, its just the OC chink story sections that are in Chinese
Eh, doesn't sound too bad.
What the frick is this a Chinese game? This doesn't look Japanese at all
china will soon own every IP in the planet
Damn, I was hoping this would be really good. It's pretty rare that a non-indie company makes a rogue-like/lite.
>get a power up that just causes Kokonoe to leave all her shit on the floor after she uses it like her scooter
>get another power up that detonates everything into a massive inferno
This game is ok
>chinks can just buy anything they like and make a grindfest out of it
how does this make you feel?
Good.
I legit want Armored Core soulslike.
there is a mech roguelite
There is? Name onegai
DXM doesn't fricking count, it only has ONE tile set for randomized dungeon, and like 3 bosses for it.
Why the frick are you even bringing up DxM, it's literally just a randomized dungeon for loot farming that has nothing to do with roguelites. I guess you could go in with one weapon and scavenge the rest if you feel like it, but it won't be particularly fun.
How much of the fighting game gameplay is actually retained? i feel like if it was at least most of it then this could actually be a cool idea.
Seems to vary based on the character. Noel is exactly how you would expect her to play if she was in an action game. But Kokonoe is basically just missile spam. Most of the cool shit seems locked behind rare upgrade drops during runs.
But it's still most about big enemy patterns not a 1v1 fight. Arakune is like 20 feet tall
Is Tager playable and can he butter churn for BIG damage?
No
Es, Taokaka and Jin are the next characters
Fricking disgusting, shit its almost like fanfic tier specially with reusing the actual game sprites.
Typical chink behavior, anything they touch they turn it into fricking shit.
If Inferno Climber is anything to go off of, this game is going to be unplayably hard.
>people ITT actually bought (and are playing) this chinese slop
i hate everyone in this thread and the consequences their complete lack of standards have brought to this hobby.
I at least have comfort in knowing MORI has already left arcsys, and any future blazblue game is dead on arrival
Jap > chink > feces > western anything
Cope and seethe
>blazblue is now an action roguelite
Good
What even is the story?
>no bb music
maximum souless
>all the regions are basically just combat rooms stapled together with loading screens and spots to rest and buy shit in between them
>reach the final region
>suddenly get one giant singular map
>get fricked by a boss that's just a random girl with a katana on an elevator
This game is fricking weird
Hakumen moves so pathetically slowly it's awesome.
did they not give him a run animation?
Yeah he does his famous hakumen waddle.
>1 attack button
>1 special button
being based on a fighting game IP I expected at least an expanded moveset. Enemies have 1 attack too, and level design is nonexistent.
The only thing it has is a nice artstyle, and nice particle effects
3/10
Can I get another fighting game instead? I don't want this shit or the dead gacha.
>defeat your enemies by just shoulder tackling them over and over that does more damage than Yukikaze
Is Ragna still fricked off from the universe?
I thought he goes by the name Asuka Kreutz now?
can I play as Rachel?
cool
>beat Susan and unlock hard mode
>all the enemy types get mixed together with new room layouts and bosses have completely different movesets instead of just the same shit and killing you in one hit
Automatically better than like 90% of roguelikes
only morons don't check their text before posting, cant believe I'm triggered by stupid mutts unable to use their babby language.
