Best Shinji unit is pic related (SAFWY), and he's still very strong. Bankai Shinji (CFYOW) is also very strong. Shinji has like 3 or 4 units that are still pretty good. The SAFWY Shinji is currently on a banner

With dupes you can trascend characters from 1/5 by getting one copy to 5/5 by feeding it the dupes. Using some materials lets you give flat out increases to character stats.
Most units you will want to get to 2/5 to upgrade either:
Physical Attack and Focus (Crit rate) or Special attack and Focus. Depending on what's their better attacking stat.
Only the really busted units are worth getting to 5/5
If you can get one of him without spending too many orbs, that's good enough. If you can get two, that's more optimal but not necessary.
The banner has like 12 units on it, so it takes quite a bit of luck to get many copies

I'd normally say full stam damage, but given that you'll have a hard time staying at full hp with that unit and the fact that her kit already comes with last ditch I'd go with low stam damage. Either that or weaken defense.

kinda torn on what I should give fb ikkaku (the one with a boost & flurry) for t.20. Gave him full stam for the 2nd skill & need to replace the the first bonus skill with either start barrier to protect from losing fs or full poison resist (coupled with the isshin link). My main runner is 3/5 fullgetsu or 1/5 safwy retsu. Other side runner is t.20, 1/5 Sajin with start barrier & fullstam with all those moronic gq buffs. Any advice would be good, would ask the guild but frick the weird censorissues for chat
Id say start barrier and full stam with a poison accessory and Issin is probably best, you’d probably do more damage if you replace a 20% nad accessory for the poison one while gaining the ability to keep full stam
Aight fair enough G, Personally my build is hollow sticker, chappy, g.chappy. Along two transcended attk wise nad units couple with isshin. The chance to gain poison would be less & I always could reset. Along run retsu to heal back to full. Should be 20-10 sec clear with all those amps
forgot to add if you crack over 4k in damage alone without the hollowbait then you can run sticker. Ideally 2/5 is perfect for nad units with max attk/crit
I would've done last ditch survival and a low stamina damage boost. You're going to have a hard time keeping him at full stamina when it matters (after that start barrier is long gone), but last ditch guarantees you get his boost skill cooled down on revive, and he'll revive with the low stam damage boost active too.
with a full t.20 team I can guarantee it will be done before the boost runs out which lasts 20 secs, unless the ai's go full moron
Gonna chime in and add that worrying about the correct T15/20 skill isn’t as a big deal as before, literally takes one x5 run of IT to get enough super pots to choose another skill

Essentially (with the bonanza pass) a normal 4/4 point event gives 90k points a run and this should give around 115k so every 4 runs = 1 ticket, even not including the lottery pulls each run that’s still a really good ROI
usually yes & as in the last year klab have been putting at least 4 or 5 bonus units you can get from the banner. As another side note you can have dupes as 5 stars count even if they're the same unit. Just don't feed them, hold onto as many random units as you can to be safe

Bruno's excellent. Christmas Noel & Christmas Ninny are the most desirable because they're super pot characters.
Christmas Momo is okay, she's a pot character so you won't get blacklisted if you try to join potion farming rooms.
But you should ideally be saving instead of rolling on bait banners, anniversary is coming up soon and they always release some busted ass characters.

the anni banner is the same as any other banner, with guarantees only every 5 steps. the only difference is the characters in them, but if there's pot characters on a banner you don't have yet you definitely should pull for the pots instead of le strong character who you wont be able to power up because no pots
And I dunno why ppl like you assume I should give a shit about pot characters. Anni often drops either a overpowered or unique design unit so that's way more appealing to me. Plus its not like these characters wont return, everyone is jacking off over BtW when realistically it will return at some point and probably outdated, whereas you dont know what you're gonna get with anni. If anni sucks then ill just continue saving and pulling for the characters I want, not need.
Bruno is great, Ninny is good but getting more outdated these days. I have Chad too but I've never used him. Very situational, probably helpful in Melee Soul Reaper GQ. The BTW characters only come 2-3 times a year so even if they aren't the best, be happy to have them

Aizen stands by himself so no shit you can make a stand alone unit like him or in the case of byakuya you can pair him with ichigo solely because of their iconic fight. But Grimmjow is seen as an espada, not a stand alone hollow or character. You cant say shit like grimmjow being a stand alone anni unit when we literally got Ulquiorra that lead into the Beyond Ressurection units. So there's no way they're gonna release a group character as a unit unless leading into the whole team getting the same power up and we're not even done with SAFWY captains yet.

The rain theming makes me think of everything but the rain, but the only character I can see them pulling from that arc is masaki. The only other characters I can think of who have associations with rain are ywachgetsu and ichigo, but who knows. Rukia and grimjoww are both on the table too

Plus concepts like a further evolved Aizen exists, so its not crazy to think in an alt timeline Ishida was fully loyal to Yhwach and decided to sacrifice himself at the end to maintain balance. Reaching for sure, but we've seen different concepts used before and anni recently has started to focus on original idea characters.

You're better off with Strong Attack Cooldown links by the way. With Noel's 80% SP boost, you want to get attacks in more frequently since damage won't be a major issue. Also, pretty sure most of your attacks are missing the ninja enemies, so the accessory that lets you hit hidden enemies may be helpful

Buying one character is already 166 orbs, plus the 125 from leveling and 75 more if its an old unit with a resurrection, so for $23 you're getting a character gaureentee and possibly up to 366 orbs rather than $90 for 585.
If you're going to buy orbs, just do it through tapjoy offers (during 1.5x bonus periods). I did some Raid: Shadow Legends offer that was israelitey as frick, but the best orb value I've seen yet. Even up paying like $50 to quickly advance and got 5,000+ orbs for completing it.

If you're a new player then it's probably for the best to invest in pot units as you'll definitely need them a LOT. And no, it won't matter if the anniversary unit is busted because nowadays we get great units that can do the the PvE job just fine.
Now, if you're an old player chances are that you already have your favorite and necessary units link-slotted. And since the IT runs already give a hefty amount of pots, you can just run them with your worked out (possibly MaxT) units.

I’m not even some no life grinder, took a while to get everyone T20 with some grinding but it was mostly after x5 came out
If you have a decent chunk of your inventory T20d you can just persist off of solo IT weeklies and your free x5 run a day
I can kind of understand people asking for t10 but t20 is overkill, your runs probably wouldn't even be fast enough to justify the extra time spent looking for people who meet that requirement
No matter how broken they make them, any character made for anniversary will be weaker than my MT T20 Lunart Ichigo and my nearly maxed 6th Aizen.
There is no content (outside of bruteforcing Senkaimon Floors) where stronger characters are needed for PvE and I despise the banner format used with only one guaranteed step so even if I saved I would only go to step 6.
In the other hand I already ran out of units I will get to T20 just by doing single player quests, I don't have any more characters that I feel need more than T10 since the content is so easy.
The only reason I will go for the Super Pot units is because I expect the amount of Super Pots you will need when they add T30 Link slots will be brutal, so I want to future proof.

Not much besides stats and an extra skill I assume but it’ll affect GQ times heavily especially if they add another difficultly
This is all speculation anyway, T25 and T30 have been in the game files since T20 was added but rank 100 accounts have also been in the game and we are still at 50, they might never increase to T25
the first dupe is super impactful because it will allow you to transcend focus which will be a huge damage increase
3rd dupe is just extra def/stam
4th dupe is also just extra def/stam
5th dupe lets you transcend your main stat again but it's a resource drain and basically only for turbo autismos

She’s a melee normal atk damage character with no real specialty or niche as far as gameplay is concerned. Paralysis makes her okay-ish and her SA2’s buff is nice. 6/10 unit imo
In this game if a character focuses on their normal attacks I.e. if they have the skill Flurry, you give them attack on the 1st character, then focus if you get a dupe
If they focus on strong attacks I.e. if they have frenzy, then you give them SP and then focus, SP units also slightly benefit from getting attack on the 3rd dupe since it also affects the strong attack damage where as SP does not affect normal attack characters
Also a good rule of them is - if the character’s soul trait is Damage Taken Reduction, Normal Attack Damage then you give Atk and Focus
If the character has Strong Attack Recharge, Damage, or Damage at full stamina, you give SP
She's outdated BUT she's a super important unit for chronicle quest.
And yes the first dupe always matters because you can put focus on it which increases the overall damage of your character if it goes above 1000.
The next 2 dupes don't matter for damage and the last dupe unlocks an extra slot to which you can roll to boost your damage

If you are brand new the swimsuits are good, however people are right that they also have a high chance on being in the poll selection banner at the end of the year so it's up to you, once again though if your brand new I'd say go hard on swimsuits

Fortunately I've been saving so I still have like 12,000 orbs for Anni- but I feel your pain brother. Start grinding out those BBS tickets and pray you get lucky.
Getting bbs tixs from the event is such a fricking joke after you hit the prize limit. I get more from epic raids than that shit. Fricking 15 soul tickets just for 1 bbs ticket that's 99% a dupe? Eat my dick.
You get most from the lottery, if you have 4 bonus characters and the bonanza pass the average is about 1 BBS ticket every 2 runs

I’ve compared my tickets before and after using 1000 stamina on multiple occasions and got a similar rate every time but it is of course RNG at the end of the day

I used to play this a little around launch, but with Bleach coming back I'm hungry for it again. Two questions:
1. What is the best Shinji unit and is it decent?
2. Is it too late to start again?
Best Shinji unit is pic related (SAFWY), and he's still very strong. Bankai Shinji (CFYOW) is also very strong. Shinji has like 3 or 4 units that are still pretty good. The SAFWY Shinji is currently on a banner
It's a good time to start again, Anniversary is coming soon so you can get a head start now or wait til the Anni actually starts

With dupes you can trascend characters from 1/5 by getting one copy to 5/5 by feeding it the dupes. Using some materials lets you give flat out increases to character stats.
Most units you will want to get to 2/5 to upgrade either:
Physical Attack and Focus (Crit rate) or Special attack and Focus. Depending on what's their better attacking stat.
Only the really busted units are worth getting to 5/5
If you can get one of him without spending too many orbs, that's good enough. If you can get two, that's more optimal but not necessary.
The banner has like 12 units on it, so it takes quite a bit of luck to get many copies
The Shinji from the Cant Fear Yout World novel (CFYOW) and the one from the Spirits are Forever with you novel (SAFWY) are pretty good. The one from the Fullbring arc is also pretty good.
Also that SAFWY Shinji is getting a rerun banner RIGHT NOW.

I always go hit hidden enemies/last chance on pot units. Don't know if that's the best course for all of them, but it's the safe option.

I'd normally say full stam damage, but given that you'll have a hard time staying at full hp with that unit and the fact that her kit already comes with last ditch I'd go with low stam damage. Either that or weaken defense.

kinda torn on what I should give fb ikkaku (the one with a boost & flurry) for t.20. Gave him full stam for the 2nd skill & need to replace the the first bonus skill with either start barrier to protect from losing fs or full poison resist (coupled with the isshin link). My main runner is 3/5 fullgetsu or 1/5 safwy retsu. Other side runner is t.20, 1/5 Sajin with start barrier & fullstam with all those moronic gq buffs. Any advice would be good, would ask the guild but frick the weird censorissues for chat
Id say start barrier and full stam with a poison accessory and Issin is probably best, you’d probably do more damage if you replace a 20% nad accessory for the poison one while gaining the ability to keep full stam
Aight fair enough G, Personally my build is hollow sticker, chappy, g.chappy. Along two transcended attk wise nad units couple with isshin. The chance to gain poison would be less & I always could reset. Along run retsu to heal back to full. Should be 20-10 sec clear with all those amps
forgot to add if you crack over 4k in damage alone without the hollowbait then you can run sticker. Ideally 2/5 is perfect for nad units with max attk/crit
Use an off color poison link and get the barrier
don't need to use an off color, old speed isshin (2017) that got res'd awhile back got poison resist
I would've done last ditch survival and a low stamina damage boost. You're going to have a hard time keeping him at full stamina when it matters (after that start barrier is long gone), but last ditch guarantees you get his boost skill cooled down on revive, and he'll revive with the low stam damage boost active too.
with a full t.20 team I can guarantee it will be done before the boost runs out which lasts 20 secs, unless the ai's go full moron
Gonna chime in and add that worrying about the correct T15/20 skill isn’t as a big deal as before, literally takes one x5 run of IT to get enough super pots to choose another skill

Essentially (with the bonanza pass) a normal 4/4 point event gives 90k points a run and this should give around 115k so every 4 runs = 1 ticket, even not including the lottery pulls each run that’s still a really good ROI
usually yes & as in the last year klab have been putting at least 4 or 5 bonus units you can get from the banner. As another side note you can have dupes as 5 stars count even if they're the same unit. Just don't feed them, hold onto as many random units as you can to be safe

Aizen stands by himself so no shit you can make a stand alone unit like him or in the case of byakuya you can pair him with ichigo solely because of their iconic fight. But Grimmjow is seen as an espada, not a stand alone hollow or character. You cant say shit like grimmjow being a stand alone anni unit when we literally got Ulquiorra that lead into the Beyond Ressurection units. So there's no way they're gonna release a group character as a unit unless leading into the whole team getting the same power up and we're not even done with SAFWY captains yet.

You're better off with Strong Attack Cooldown links by the way. With Noel's 80% SP boost, you want to get attacks in more frequently since damage won't be a major issue. Also, pretty sure most of your attacks are missing the ninja enemies, so the accessory that lets you hit hidden enemies may be helpful

That being said, if you’re just a casual player or semi-serious then just doing the solo quests each week should net you a decent chunk of super pots over time if you save them up so in that case yes she isn’t important

This why you buy character packs dummy. You get more than just dropping $90 on 585 orbs in the long run. Buying one character is already 166 orbs, plus the 125 from leveling and 75 more if its an old unit with a resurrection, so for $23 you're getting a character gaureentee and possibly up to 366 orbs rather than $90 for 585.
If you're going to buy orbs, just do it through tapjoy offers (during 1.5x bonus periods). I did some Raid: Shadow Legends offer that was israelitey as frick, but the best orb value I've seen yet. Even up paying like $50 to quickly advance and got 5,000+ orbs for completing it.

Currently my orbs are 12k and that's just playing the game, so you can b***h about how you dropped $50 or even $100 on 3rd party orbs and get nothing while I can get lucky and possibly pull what I wanted, or the vice versa can happen. But I would rather feel better than doing what you do and get nothing vs just liking the game enough on a casual level to get my orbs at my own pace.

It depends at where you are at the game really:
If you're a new player then it's probably for the best to invest in pot units as you'll definitely need them a LOT. And no, it won't matter if the anniversary unit is busted because nowadays we get great units that can do the the PvE job just fine.
Now, if you're an old player chances are that you already have your favorite and necessary units link-slotted. And since the IT runs already give a hefty amount of pots, you can just run them with your worked out (possibly MaxT) units.

If you have a decent chunk of your inventory T20d you can just persist off of solo IT weeklies and your free x5 run a day

For the Super Pot vs Anniversary debate.
No matter how broken they make them, any character made for anniversary will be weaker than my MT T20 Lunart Ichigo and my nearly maxed 6th Aizen.
There is no content (outside of bruteforcing Senkaimon Floors) where stronger characters are needed for PvE and I despise the banner format used with only one guaranteed step so even if I saved I would only go to step 6.
In the other hand I already ran out of units I will get to T20 just by doing single player quests, I don't have any more characters that I feel need more than T10 since the content is so easy.
The only reason I will go for the Super Pot units is because I expect the amount of Super Pots you will need when they add T30 Link slots will be brutal, so I want to future proof.

the first dupe is super impactful because it will allow you to transcend focus which will be a huge damage increase
3rd dupe is just extra def/stam
4th dupe is also just extra def/stam
5th dupe lets you transcend your main stat again but it's a resource drain and basically only for turbo autismos

She’s a melee normal atk damage character with no real specialty or niche as far as gameplay is concerned. Paralysis makes her okay-ish and her SA2’s buff is nice. 6/10 unit imo
In this game if a character focuses on their normal attacks I.e. if they have the skill Flurry, you give them attack on the 1st character, then focus if you get a dupe
If they focus on strong attacks I.e. if they have frenzy, then you give them SP and then focus, SP units also slightly benefit from getting attack on the 3rd dupe since it also affects the strong attack damage where as SP does not affect normal attack characters
Also a good rule of them is - if the character’s soul trait is Damage Taken Reduction, Normal Attack Damage then you give Atk and Focus
If the character has Strong Attack Recharge, Damage, or Damage at full stamina, you give SP
She's outdated BUT she's a super important unit for chronicle quest.
And yes the first dupe always matters because you can put focus on it which increases the overall damage of your character if it goes above 1000.
The next 2 dupes don't matter for damage and the last dupe unlocks an extra slot to which you can roll to boost your damage

If you are brand new the swimsuits are good, however people are right that they also have a high chance on being in the poll selection banner at the end of the year so it's up to you, once again though if your brand new I'd say go hard on swimsuits

I recommend looking up a guide on that mostly because explaining that through text I think it would get muddled. I say this because if your new that's a shit load of orbs you have just around. Fortunately I've been saving so I still have like 12,000 orbs for Anni- but I feel your pain brother. Start grinding out those BBS tickets and pray you get lucky.

You get most from the lottery, if you have 4 bonus characters and the bonanza pass the average is about 1 BBS ticket every 2 runs
