There are people who think WoW has good art and that the art team "is really good". The only way you can see how terrible the blizzard house style is in reality is to be away from it for a while.

wow's engine is like 20 years old at this point and a lot of stuff in the game is hamstrung by that. That's why so much armor is just 2d body paint and 'robes' are basically a long tube like dress. Pauldrons are pretty much the only place they can put 3d meshes which is why so many sets are super overdesigned in that department.

It literally does. The point is that the job armor sets look familiar and similar. It wouldn't make sense for a DNC to just randomly have random armor plates and be heavily covered in leather battle attire because their lore is that they wear almost nothing both to allure and capitvate an audience, but also to not have their clothes tangle up as they dance. SMN attires are based on regional/historical traditional summoning clothes, which actually do change fairly regularly throughout the tiers other than the horn. DRK armor is literally from a specific order of knighthood, and if it radically changed, it would imply the knighthood's core philosophies radically changed, which would break the beauty of the DRK storyline. The similarities between the sets pay off in more ways than one, and even though they are "similar", none of them are "identical".

Unironically though. If I had a month of being in charge at blizzard I could make the game better than it's ever been. Shorter quest lines that have better gameplay such as going though a dungeon with jumping and puzzles and semi challenging but soloable bosses. Relevant challenging end game for the solo player like mage tower 2 but u get a myth tier piece out of it because better players should be rewarded and ofc a mount for beating some type of challenge mode included. I'd also include a scenario similar to the intro to BFA for some alternative group content. Ultimately the game needs more soloable but satisfying content for players to enjoy when they aren't doing the standard beats. I'd then redesign raids to be bosses only, literally no one wants to fight trash in a raid. I haven't played the current season but bullions are a step on the right direction

People always say how good slidecasting feels, which is kind of true, but nobody ever mentions the dogshit ass reverse of it. When you stop moving, you need to stay still for a fraction of a second before you can cast or your cast gets interrupted, and it's fricking awful

The last .5 secs or so of a cast doesn't actually have to happen so you jump or move during that period to cast your spell then and also be "moving" while it casts.

Unironically looks pretty good compared to almost everything in this thread. If the belt wasn't this moronic-looking skull motif, the armor plating clearly protected the body instead of constantly leaving these exposed arms and legs, and if the tassel wasn't glowing for no specific reason, I'd argue this is an excellent piece of armor design for WoW.

The belt is not part of the set. I just grabbed some random Transmog from google. There are plenty of more simple set nowadays it just happens that tier sets are always over the top designs.
