Now that the event is at its final hours and the results are set in stone, how would you personally rate this CT? Was it better or worse than last time?
I have to say, even with us losing despite our ridiculous amount of effort, this was my favorite CT thus far, hopefully next one isn't as stressful.
Despite pink being c**ts I enjoyed it more than the one where we were alone for 90% of the event.

I found it fun, the "second wind" period was quite enjoyable, even if we did run out of gas. Hope the next CT is a bit more comparable in team output

If people stop playing then you don't get as many points.
But yes, in this hypothetical the moment a banner is decayed you want to recapture it. All banners in the map should be contributing at all times or at least as much as possible.

That's a shame, on the previous CT I was fighting for first place local with a bunch more anons here but I don't think we stole from each other. At least I know I didn't, the point is to help the team first and foremost.
The only time I captured a banner from a teammate that was still giving points was because it was going to stop counting in less than like 2 hours and I didn't want to risk it going neutral.

If you only "stole" when they were not giving points then that was a good move and you weren't being a dick, not. Just because the tile is from your team does not mean it is contributing.

there was someone on the team who capped shit from me for no reason a few times, I don't remember the name. It was always minutes after I took it and it was tiles that were in the fricking middle at no risk so homie just wasted tickets

Some of us did, in the past events where we didn't have actual opponents to compete with, we literally didn't have an opportunity this time because Pink and Yellow were fricking us over constantly.
I have like 13k trophies but don't want to dump them into the banner because I feel like mostly it is me who spends them to buy the relics in te shop (I don't mind don't get me wrong) and because I'm not sure how much I get daily/weekly etc so I want to have a buffer there to be able to help during CT.
On the topic of AFK players, what do you guys think of kicking out inactive players to make room for more active ones? Is it scummy or is it justified?
Personally I don't see it as scummy but I also don't see the point unless someone in the thread is asking to join the team. If people want to join then keeping inactive people feels more scummy to me, since the whole point is to play with Ganker together. At least that's how I see it.
I can understand, my original idea was that maybe a few of Team B's most active players could join if they wanted to, there was also a guy last thread that said he'd join if there was a slot open but I don't know if he's here.

Ranked boss goes by how fast you beat it. It's usually the time you spend with the boss on screen, but there's also a time penalty that adds up if you take too long to beat a round.
On the one hand I want to join but on the other when I play bosses I like to take it slowly to maximize farming and I don't know if my autism will allow me to play bosses like that.
normal mode lets you get away with garbage farming strats, elite on the other hand needs you all in a voice call and with auto-starts turned off

It really doesn't take that long, just play maps you were going to play using mostly the tower of the paragon you wanted to unlock.
You don't need to unlock all of them, just the most important ones, such as the dart, ace, boat, and ninja paragons.
you just need to unlock 2 or maybe 3 of them and you'll be fine
don't try to get all of them before attempting elite, it's not needed. Just ignore sub paragon, it's fricking trash
ignore sub, engineer, and debatably boomerang / wizard. Dart, ninja, ace pilot, boat are musts.
Boomerang is a great early cheap option, I wouldn't ignore it even if dart is the cheapest one.

I didn't disagree with the other anon because the person asking was a newish player who still hasn't unlocked every upgrade.
But wizard and engi at the very least are not useless and have their niches.
Wizard has a better damage output than Ace with the first metamorphosis (after it runs out it becomes worse because the cooldown is so long.) This makes wizard a genuine option over ace when trying to kill bosses if you can kill it fast enough.
As for Engineer, I personally don't like it but the sell explosions give it at the very least a niche for instakilling bosses.

You can. For the #ouch ranked bloonarius the other week, the ranked strat was to use a sub paragon and I had to do exactly that for the last tier. Luckily I got that timing first try because timing that when it's your only tower besides geraldo sounded like cancer.

Another one I like is the sellicopter, picking up a favored trades to be able to sell anything in the map at a higher value.
I just wish you could still use abilities while they're being door gunnered, because you can pick certain towers WHILE they're using an ability, and it still works for a short time while door gunnered, but then the ability button disappears.
You can also use door gunner to apply permabrew buffs to towers without having to move the permabrew for whatever reason you want to that, maybe the permabrew is someone else's tower or something
Engineer bloon trap will throw a bloon trap all the way across the map if you've preset the trap location with 014 crosspath, otherwise it'll just drop it where the heli is if you don't have the crosspath
I like 420 sub so you just get a radioactive helicopter or a 420 druid for even stronger blowback potential, it's just too bad you can't pick up heroes with it

I'd love to know how map splits are distributed so I can better pick my hero. This time I got lucky and could place Ezili next to the entrance (even if it didn't matter much), but it'd be a certain advantage in, say, boss events
I bought it out of boredom, nuked one BAD, then sold it. I kind of wish the ability would start off ready instead of being on a cooldown, so it could at least serve as a very expensive and complicated APM nuke

I started playing a few days ago. I've already got a bunch of monkey knowledge, but I didn't notice that the more advanced ones cost money. Should I keep expending money on this, or should I save it up for heroes?
Depends, what heroes do you have unlocked and what MK points are directly available to you?
I only have the free ones like Quincy and Obyn. As for MK the only significant one that I've spent money on is "more cash" (and by extension the extra monkey)
And yes, I was dumb enought to not realize it costed money until quite a while later.
I see, I'd say you should save up for a bit and buy Sauda and Benjamin, Sauda can carry you by herself for a while in easy and intermediate maps; And Benjamin can make a ton of cash to help out, specially in his later levels.
For the monkey knowledge, try getting mo' monkey money, mana shield, empowered heroes, and road spikes, after that feel free to pick the ones you find most interesting/useful.
While road spikes is good, I wouldn't recommend getting it until much later because you need to put 5 MK into it.
It helps a lot with impoppable, but yeah I agree, just can't imagine playing without them though.
The main use for monkey money is the two things you mentioned. Or at least those should be your priority.
