I am tired of being able to recognize actors by their faces instead of by their voices in video games. It's one thing if every game has a character voiced by Matthew Mercer or Steve Blum or Nolan North, but they all have their own distinct looks, but if this video game character is literally just the same guy from another video game or movie I've watched I am immediately taken out of the experience. I don't have this problem when watching movies obviously, but for games I just hate it.

The anon who posted the picture said there is no benefit when there clearly is, people are just really used to video game lighting. When you are actually playing the game with it on you can really notice the difference when you realize what RTX goal is. The full path tracing mode looks even better but the performance is unplayable unless you have a 4080/4090 with all the upscaling stuff turned on.

100% this. This aint pokemon snap, it's an fps game. rtx is cool for photo mode. For actually playing the game it's more a resource hog than anything since you're usually moving around/panning the camera. Especially in combat.
RTX in this game just makes wet surfaces look fuzzy and like they're always moving for no reason. It's so off-putting and absolutely does not make it look more realistic
Everyone gets really fricking stuck on Ray tracing. Ray tracing is achieving more realistic lighting by (broadly) copying how light works in real life. That means that if the scene HASN'T been hand crafted for Ray tracing its subject to whatever random shit would happen when it was built for dynamic and static lighting.
When you walk around at night and things look aesthetic its by chance. You get a look or "vibe" by the happen-chance of whatever light sources and reflectivity are occurring at the time. What game developers would be doing ideally is making games from the ground up for RTX and ditching static and dynamic completely to create set pieces like this.
Persians and plagues have been killing white people for thousands of years but christianity kept marriages together and birthrates high. People needed children for labor too.
Then make it the only option and not take long with a short cutscene of you sitting or holding a rail, like in GTA 4.
It would greatly improve immersion.

There's actually something human and relatable about falling into a coma and finding out the world kept spinning without you. Sure. But the fact that everyone has basically just fricked off completely and barely gives a rat's ass that you're alive is just as depressing as the other endings.

Effectively killing and replacing him and becomes the CEO of Arasaka again.

They had dozens and dozens of programmers. Cyberpunk's main issues were caused by the production.
All workers in the software development field usually just do what they're told with the time they're given. The higher-ups are instead in charge of directing development, allocate resources, and mostly are responsible for the correct flow of development. Big frick-ups lilke CP77 are typically a production's fault.
You can hire 2000 programmers, the problem is coordinating them and directing them. That's where CD Projekt fell flat.

Everyone gets really fricking stuck on Ray tracing. Ray tracing is achieving more realistic lighting by (broadly) copying how light works in real life. That means that if the scene HASN'T been hand crafted for Ray tracing its subject to whatever random shit would happen when it was built for dynamic and static lighting.
When you walk around at night and things look aesthetic its by chance. You get a look or "vibe" by the happen-chance of whatever light sources and reflectivity are occurring at the time. What game developers would be doing ideally is making games from the ground up for RTX and ditching static and dynamic completely to create set pieces like this.

I don't think the writing in this game is an issue but it's obviously undercooked in several other aspects.
They had dozens and dozens of programmers. Cyberpunk's main issues were caused by the production.
All workers in the software development field usually just do what they're told with the time they're given. The higher-ups are instead in charge of directing development, allocate resources, and mostly are responsible for the correct flow of development. Big frick-ups lilke CP77 are typically a production's fault.
You can hire 2000 programmers, the problem is coordinating them and directing them. That's where CD Projekt fell flat.
