Feels weird that anons didn't mention this but using UE40 Sp.Hoshino or above is kinda a brick on Hiero if you use Sp.Marie because S.Hoshino has higher def than the lamp(lamp has 2500 def).
Of course you can still clear using UE40 and above but you will get lower score.

I mean, it is what it is with any "highest stat targeting" skills. Any character you level up could always frick with the autotargeting.
It doesn't matter for the specific setups this time around, but UE30 Kokona can have higher attack than UE50 Azusa depending and absorb offensive buffs meant to target the DPS, for instance (found out when testing using Shigure as the autoattacker/4th slot).
Maybe we're all bricking ourselves leveling Kokonatsu at this very instant, but one can't live always worried about Predicky autism. The little girls in-game say thank you when you level them up, when was the last time an autistic gacha leaderboard clan whipmaster did that for you?

Anon they could add more characters or a raid boss with a similar targeting mechanic as Shun, or anything even more obnoxious, at any point down the line, at which point you could've bricked all your DPS girls by raising them
Not leveling SHoshi or anyone else might equivalently cause someone to miss Plat down the line on a different raid, because of someone's lower attack causing them to miss the cutoff compared to everyone else running the same UE50'd team

Not sure I understand what you're trying to say.
It's not worrying because lul priconne TP bad, it's because many live service games' base mechanics buckle under feature creep as they mature. The fact that a lot of skills have triggers based on highest/lowest statname is likely to be increasingly problematic down the line because it narrows the design space now that we're past the relatively neat launch mechanics of base stat + equipment. Stats now get massaged by affection from alts, by unique gear, by level cap raises, by further increasing list of stats equipment gives, so those problems are likely to snowball.
Devs will have progressively harder time designing new things, and we'll have harder time predicting how any given team would perform at the high end.
Things getting broken completely unforseen at a random point down the line isn't the same as looking at a drip of oil under your car in the morning ang going "well, this is worrying and going to become a problem".

It's only bad because it's an oversight on the dev teams fault and this isn't the first time they've had one. They'll probably make the lamp have 9999 defense for ins2 or 99k next time or raise the lamp's defense in current ins if enough people b***h.
It's a miscalculation on the devs team borne out of a dumb mistake or lack of oversight, not due to malice or wanting to brick your characters.
And they've shown to unfrick things as the game goes anyway so this UE2 thing is probably only going to be relevant for this raid only.

It feels like it'd be the opposite though? The more mechanics the devs have on hand, the more options they have to just design an encounter around one mechanic or another, or even set it up so that there are two possible approaches to it.
It'll get increasingly harder to make sure all teams are balanced for a raid as the game grows, but it's not like every raid was balanced for every character to begin with, and they generally don't seem to mind (presumably) unexpected strats like nudging the rangers around or chocomint'ing the boss. As the other anon noted, shit gets really unintended, like shields not being used on Goz or something, they can see it clearly on the leaderboards and patch as needed.

I'm pretty sure Mari is working as intended here? Her normal is meant to heal only your tank and screw you over if you're relying on it to heal other people dying of AoE or if you duo tank, I'd guess the devs don't want the lantern to be considered a "tank". I could see them lowering it if anything if she'd ended up stronger than Kokona.
It's just surprising because everyone is used to other healers prioritizing low HP + no one remembers Fuuka/Kaede using similar targeting because it's for a Def buff and not heal.

You pretty regularly see newcuties going "Hi, I'm new, first things first, are there any bricks to look out for" and people swearing by the EX4 Hoshino/reverse arms race underinvested Shun thing
But it's not really a brick, it's a meme, it doesn't really matter. If you have UE40 Hoshino then you probably can do the Kokona strats too unless you're some weird border that accounts for maybe 1% of the players.

Looks like while you need a strong Kokona to heal through the debuff, you DON'T need a strong Kokona to get a high score with a Kokona/Saori team
Case in point. Not 26m but that IS 200k points higher than the SPMari team I was using.

After getting through that hellish first clear to rank, this has turned into the comfiest raid in a while; just dropping Saori for Koharu makes for a nice, safe daily clear.

Sounds about right. I remember Kazusa right after summer getting even better engagement numbers than most/all the swimsuits initially did, despite her less flashy or fanservicey design.
Still though, that's huge growth. Wonder if it was just the usual swimsuits + swimsuit reruns alone, or if that 10 min PV actually put in advertising work, as low budget as it was it probably reflected the game's tone and setting better than a lot of the fanart or memes.

Only way is to remake all red raids with multiphases with 10 gimmicks each.
Make more raid like chesed where so many units become viable (tsurugi, sumire, nykot, saya,...)
if ins2 makes hiero-chan threatening enough that you can't just literally ignore healing shoshino (and not just reset until the time bomb gets put on her), the rest of your team and comps will probably start shuffling around, she gets pretty low/dies around 3 min or so as is
single-target punching bags will always have pretty boring leaderboards though, unit diversity for hiero is in healer comp, and it's nice to see different strats revolving around all 3 striker healers (or combinations of them) pop up
unless you're talking about cutoffs in which case it probably can't be helped, the stronger endgame playerbase will naturally get large enough to all clear INS over time. just need to bump cutoff size

Uncapping Ako/Himari all the way just gives ~100 extra attack to Azusa, that should only be a 2-3% increase, so I assume he just got ungodly lucky crits on day 1 somehow, since my damage keeps up with him for the first 30-40 sec or so...

It's probably crit harder. I copied a 26.2m video and ended up with 25.8m because I couldn't crit as hard as he did but should still be a pretty safe plat.

The use case for a tank that jumps forwards and pulls enemies closer together is obviously different than a stationary tank who provides an attack buff aura
Why bother releasing more tanks when literally no one is going to use them because shoshino broke the striker formation in half? She's also used in raids she's not suppose to be in

I spent about 1800+ shards on 5*-ing Saori, Ako, and Kokona + 60 million credits on skills and I ended up not using Saori on the highest score run

We're in the meta where tank use itself is kinda questionable a lot of the times. I'm curious to see what raids she actually makes it to, even though her kit does look nice and cohesive.
We already have tanks who insert extra survivability/full tank EX skills into your rotation if/when you need it for the new raid difficulty, like Natsu/Eimi/Atsuko etc.
Frontline buffers/debuffs is still a super undeveloped space, which is why people here keep complaining about seeing Hoshino off-color or XSerina showed up on Peroro. Releasing more frontline offensive support for easier raids is the basic first step to seeing more team variety and clearing options.
Also potentially a light armor AoE raid like Cheese or Peroro down the line I guess, besides the obvious Kaiten applications
In further news, investigation revealed disturbing lack of expressly modeled wingholes, but I am prepared to let this one slide given the outfit

S.Hoshino is probably not that important for c5 since you should one shot everything anyway. If she does anything at all maybe it's to help you move cost so you can burn it at the final wave. You should probably just run 4 dps instead. If you pulled her, NYFuuka is really nice for this to help you cycle, even moreso if you're running Hina.

Great blessing has an effective rate of about 12%. Going to an actual hard pity is extremely rare.

For the longest time I thought it was some esoteric bullshit because the whole thing was essentially a scam in the first NY event.

Serina is rare enough that having her there might make you more attractive than the 4* Nodoka, honestly.
Most people in my bracket have Shun in slot 1 because everyone uses Shun so it doesn't reveal anything about their formation. Also hardly see any oNodokas anymore and a lot more Serinas, most of the players in top 20 use sAyane + sMashiro though

Only if you can ins or ins2 if that happens which is currently pretty tough. JP and KR are insanely competitive compared to how free the other servers are.
You need at least S.Hoshi + Ako + Himari and Mika for comfy start though it's hard to get both Ako and Himari even with 6% rate. S.Hoshi Mika + Hibiki/Iroha will allow you to clear campaign maps easier. Try joining a club or get friends and you will be able to clear HC raids easily.
I wouldn't put Mika together with those 3 honestly given that those 3 are meta changing and Mika is just yellow DPS even if her kit is looking busted for damage but given that a newbie would be rerolling on her banner, it should be a given that they'll get her. But I'd take an account with those 3 characters and no mika in a heartbeat if for some insane reason they manage to hit lottery jackpot odds.

Got new Miyu, Mine, SpUtaha, and Midori (finally, held out on unlocking her with shards) along with dupes of Aru, Izuna, Shun, Ako, Tsurugi, Hoshino, Wakamo (already maxed), and Mine. Adventures in data, Chapter 100: Nothing is ever simple
So, all droptables on the wiki are a lie of omission. Blue Archive extensively uses gachagroups (and now, it seems, items that are opened on pickup and contain gachagroups) for stage drops, something that I was unrolling on the wiki for simplicity. In essence, when clearing a stage you don't really do independent rolls for every possible drop, instead a roll for gachagroup is performed, and ,should you get the reward, a further weighted RNG roll determines what item out of a gachagroup you get. This is why you never get two pieces of T7 blueprints while farming Normal stages, for example.
New world raid makes that impractical, so we are going to expose the gachagroups and all the nested RNG rolls that come with that.
Current world raid has a second phase that unlocks INS. Teased/leaked Perorozilla vs Kaiten fight story scene comes after that.

48 tickets of natural regen + 60 bought per day is 10.8 runs a day (let's say you 1T without fail)
Bosses have different amount of possible frags, let's say you want Mine from Hiero, who has 10 total frag options.
At EX, you get 3 drops per run, at 10% of any given frag.
INS will give 6.4 drops per run with same frags list.
So, in a day, doing EX and buying out tickets you'd get 3.24 Mine frags.
In a day, doing INS and buying out tickets you'd get 6,912 Mine frags.
We don't know how long INS bosses would stay alive, but I'm going to venture a guess that the answer is no, it's not viable.

Not sure why people are trying to bruteforce with Mika when Wakamo can easily 1opening this thing no crits required.
Can confirm Ui->Mika than the usual Mika->Ako->Himari->(Fill)->Mika cycle leaves him at around 1-2 bars left, should be consistent due to her passive. Thing is if you're running that your other two basically have to be AoE so you need to make sure the (Fill) can actually do the 2 bars, my Chise could barely make it in time before it closed again.
It's probably too early to tell, even if they wanted to get more risque with the nip releases. Shit is planned probably at least half a year ahead, maybe even more based on last anni's trailers and all the foreshadowing BA does.
From newer content, Sakurako's ass and the new Shanghai e-girl outfit are probably lewder than the BA average but it's not like the combat nun suit/the fox e-girlbaba didn't exist previously in game. Mika's Momo contents are probably also more suggestive than the median Momo, but again it's likely these were planned before other regions ratings changed too.

Chesed would have gone a lot faster except the horde of soldiers in the back makes everyone reposition to the lower right where they shoot Chesed instead of the waves. Hod I actually failed to clear in time because I wasn't spamming skills fast enough at the start since I didn't realize how fast my cost gain was. It just makes you start on p2 anyway on the next try so no big deal.
Mika/Koharu then (Middle attacker)+Kokona should work, the rightmost should get pushed to the front bench and hold aggro unless the 3rd has a notably short range like Izuna/Noa. Mika takes aggro back once the bench breaks and the girl in front pulls back, but you should be able to phase transition around then ideally so Mika can take cover behind the new pillar cover.
I cleared with Azusa in the fill slot but I'm sure there are other support options like Ui if she's invested enough to live, or Serixmas. Maki is obviously on-element versus Azusa but she doesn't take a cover slot so I wasn't able to get the positioning to work very well.

Even if you're spamming skills it's an amazingly bad comp where only Megu/Hare even do anything, and it doesn't look like they actually buffed the Seminar girls to make it up for it unless the rabbit was doing a ton of damage and I didn't notice.
mika/koharu/kokona/xserina seems to work until the church pew got destroyed and serina move to another cover, probably have to use a proper tank then (yuuka or atsuko)
5* sizuna seems to be tanky enough, tried other comps like shoshino+xserina / onodoka / serina to reposition, all doesn't seems to have enough dps for 1T
IMO Kokona in front is probably better than XSerina unless the tulpa is UE40+, Kokona self-heal when she spams on the lantern is probably more reliable than Serina's dodge reload passive
Either way, both of them move to the top pew once the first one breaks, so you need to be done mucking around with the lanterns by then and ready to start DPSing him into phase 2
Mika should be able to hold aggro until phase transition while you're rotating Kokona heal onto her and not the lantern, unless you get unlucky and she doesn't dodge enough big attacks

mostly it is just being tedious, should really allow you to skip after you done it once per day
It's just twice a day though and you are not doing both runs back to back unless you're at capped tickets so its most likely do one ins run in the morning then another one before bed

What have people been using for Peroro? Everything that immediately comes to mind like Aru/Mutsuki/the Hinas hate it there. Shigure or something?
Mika/Serina/Yuuka/Ui Shizuko/Himari can get Kuro down to 15-20 bars left on one punch, even the messiest 2T should be pretty comfy.
Not sure if 1T is possible though seeing how Mika doesn't have crit damage variance, you'd have to find a way to squeeze in 1-2 extra Mika blasts, maybe through letting Kuro cups kill Yuuka and/or Serina on the final stretch. Maybe a different comp with Hoshino/NYFuuka instead of Serina/Himari can eke out the damage, but Ui should still be more efficient I believe.

Nevermind, from what I heard it looks like they patched it so you have to join 24 hours after leaving, so relying on the reset doesn't work anymore. I need to borrow students for the current event and tickets fill up in 20 hours instead of 24 so I'll try joining in 5-6 days after all the bosses are taken care of, if there's still space by then.
