Or do Torment, this feels like the most doable one yet especially with the change to p1 bombs now being a fixed pattern. If you built the meta units for previous Shirokuro Insanes the only new ones you really need are NY.Fuuka and NY.Kayoko, and to build Shimiko.

This game is probably the most polarizing gacha I've ever tried and I have tried quite a few. Started 3 days ago for fun as a "haha just do my free 10 pull and probably uninstall after 2 days"
I didn't expect to pull the exact 3 star I wanted so I was losing my mind hooting like a monkey at my screen. So I grind for a half hour for a majority of the freebie pulls (70) and roll them on the track banner. I did not get a single 3 star. It was at that point I realized this is one of THOSE gachas with terrible rates on the ultra rare characters to make you spend money to hit the pity. I am afraid I have to say goodbye, Shiroko. Stay stay and free with the power of the 2nd Amendment.

I think it's time to quit attempting to plat anymore. Three straight days of malding for an hour, and unless like the last two where I at least got a clear at the last second today I ran out of time and wasted a ticket. And I guess I saved myself an additional hour because for some reason I chose "give up" instead of letting time run out and burned the only UE50 Arisu on my support list, now I'll just have to run Extreme instead.
Meanwhile I haven't even finished reading the event which could have been done already if I wasn't wasting hours on the fricking raid.

for mArisu, if she has been autoattacked twice by kuro, she will not survive the hit right before her 3rd EX
Yeah, Arisu dies a lot but I found it easier than Hasumi because Hasumi hates critting and has a 100% chance to die while good RNG and prayers will keep Aris alive.
I think I need to try 2T'ing it next instead of 1T like I had been attempting. Granted that trades half of the crit RNG for bomb RNG on Shiro but being able to reset Kuro instead of repeating the whole thing should make a ton of difference.
The 1T only requires 4 MArisu crits combined with a decent number of Izuna crits but spread out over a way longer time. Only good thing is with Sp.Yuuka you have more leeway on Kuro where you can have 3 or 4 chances to get two crits but having to repeat Shiro if you fail negates that.
And I'm safe with a 24.601m, thank god. I should have done that several days ago. Probably the best thing with that comp is it's brain-dead so you can rush through attempts and quickly reset the instant something goes wrong. Dealing with aiming SpYuuka's jump and lowering the speed to properly time Ako/Himari for two Izuna normals or cycling MArisu was so much fricking work in comparison.

She's a tank, which is one of the least essential roles to pull on the gacha for. In addition, everything she does can be done by another tank. Tsubaki and Miyako can do CC, Eimi self-heals with her normal skill, and Natsu has self-heal plus debuff cleansing. Finally, there's still a chance that Seia or another new limited can come out this month.
Very good chance that she will be used in both Peroro and Hod torments. But if you don't care about those, you shouldn't need her for insane.
Uhh, if her huge ass EX/taunt and self-heal get too popular in PvP, Iori will come back to curse us all, and after we've barely been free from her feet for maybe a season or so, or something

Reisa should have been after summer because her event was after summer. It's dirty of them to bait us with her before summer alts.
I refused to use MAris because she required too many crits that were too unreliable. I used a pure Izuna hypercarry team once Insane was open and while I never got a better score than this one, I did get close to this score consistently. Izuna attacks with her big damage move much more often than you can use MAris's ex so there's many more opportunities for her to crit + her Ako/Himari upkeep is easy.

I'm more surprised Kazusa is only 155, her old art angle (and Natsu/Yosh's proportions, I guess) made her seem a lot taller.
That, and the size difference in all the fanart with Reisa, but I guess art has a pretty bad habit of exaggerating size differences instead of drawing all the girls as small JKs and slightly less small JKs. Easy to forget other mid-150s like Yuuka or Mika shouldn't even be a head taller than the cunnies they often get paired up with.

Huh, Reisa's frickhuge AoE damage is actually pretty close to Momoi's despite being a tank (700% x 3k-4k attack vs 550% x 4.5k), at least before the burn ticks. Even before looking at her utility, seems like she'll be pretty useful in any scenario where you'd want an extra Momoi/Cherino screen clear, or want one of them but also need to double dip into filling the tank role.
Has anyone been able to tell if her EX reapplies the taunt on each shot for Hod purposes? Was trying to test while reclearing the event but all the mobs there either die to the initial attack, or were CC immune vehicle bosses.

If you don't have Cherino, I was able to do it with the twins, using a formation where Momoi runs to the right side (so her EX can hit most of the yellow mobs, and clear two waves at once, if the second wave spawns into the final tick of her EX). Mika/Iori/some other filler yellow goes left with Midori, blue ST DPS and Momoi goes right, then standard AkoHima unoptimized setup scraped through for me, there's probably a lot of ways to improve/sub units in on that.
Your blue ST being able to one-shot the two blue bosses is almost certainly a must though.

I ran into a Reisa near the top 10 today, she interrupted my Iori's opening EX and I got murdered. Next attempt Iori just killed her and the NyHaruna behind her. So basically not really any different than Hoshino? (and Hoshino has sunglasses for this pvp season too while Reisa is yellow face)

while it seems you were right, I actually don't think Arona Channel ever really ties into "what's coming next" other than on livestreams. She usually just talks about current events/the seasons. Even with this being cooking related, I have doubts the Shanghai event will be particularly related to cooking what with 2/3 in the key visual not being restaurant folk (well, I'm assuming RE the middle girl)

I'm kinda surprised SHina isn't used very much this PvP season. If she goes first while I'm on attack, at least, that's basically the end. I guess it's because NYHaruna is generally more effective.

drawback of NyHaruna is she dies easily to B.Neru while both S.Hina and Nutsuki can survive with their yellow armor. Same with surviving Iroha's chain attack

Of course it goes without saying to prioritize whichever little moeblob makes your dick the hardest, but if you like all 3 that's not much of an answer.
If you blow your load now, SMash is still a PvP mainstay for making Tsubaki/Mika frick off and breaking Yuuka's ankles, but rolling for PvP is pretty much for your own autism since 5-10 extra gacharocks per day, if any, will take literal years or even decades to pay for the spark you spent for her autistic sniper washboard.
SAzusa still has her def down utility, but that's a niche that's received many more options and/or sidegrades over the years.
Izuna currently has the most general raid usage, between 2Cost EX cycling, retargeting utility, and soft tanking autos if she has cover and/or the correct armor type.

Don't know if we have any predictions as obvious as Mika was for 2nd. People have been talking about some new superbuffer Seia, but I wouldn't rule Kuroko or Rio or something off the table. Hell, Kuzunoha or something from bunnies could be on board, since they may have time to squeeze a new story arc in between then and now.
Honestly though, you could probably blow your load now and be back to 3-3.5 sparks before anniv, especially if you haven't cleared all the Story/Main missions yet as a newcutie.

BToki isn't really there for damage. To be honest, I'm not absolutely certain what you bring her in for but I can't deny the results. I think it might just be because she's 2 cost while favoring the environment, which means getting OK extra damage and also getting back to Mutsuki faster

Looking, it's probably for her normal skill, which lowers crit damage resistance--on the Ranger that Mutsuki will mine, no less.
I probably should've borrowed a higher skill BToki, though at the same time I don't see how I could've actually gotten a "better time", this was very close to perfect with this team.
The top team, last I checked, is a huge crit fest I have to imagine. It isn't using SHoshino at all. Either a crit fest, or a cheater.

Mutsuki will crit very reliably. You should be able to clear phase 1 with her second set of mines. She'll do 1 unbuffed mining, then after you use her ex she'll use another and should end the phase there.
Of course, Kaiten phase 2 is just about luck. Will Mutsuki crit hard enough? Will Kaiten not use that fricking shield? Will Kaiten not stun everyone with missiles? Who knows!

I can't figure out a second team. If I use Ako/Himari then I run into a problem where SPYuuka basically inevitably dies. Sure, mine isn't UE50, but I doubt that would make her survive any better. However, if I use SShizuko instead, damage drops considerably and I can't reach phase 2 in turn 2.

Tsukuyo is afaik the best tank for Kaiten. Even at 3 stars she survives decently on Torment (though you do need a healer to help her out, it's not as much as others)
Yeah, I loved using her in old Kaitens for self-sustain and the def down in phase 1 but back then most of the teams used Haruka instead of her. So it's nice to see the opposite this time.

Hmm, I can make it to Kaiten Torment phase 2 in 3 teams, and Kaiten itself doesn't seem *that* bad. The issue I'm finding right now is that because of his sword swipe, Mutsuki can't survive without being healed. Shields aren't enough to keep her alive through the damage.
I'll try Atsuko out instead of SPYuuka for now, but it sucks to do so. I really wish there was another healer or something I could use, because using SShizuko instead means not being able to double buff Mutsuki. Fricking A.

Aight, spent basically all day trying Torment off and on and I've concluded that because I don't have SIori or NYHaruna, it is basically not possible.
The issue is that my backup, red-armored reds are just not cutting it for damage, and you NEED a shielder against Kaiten due to the sword swipe. After exhausting my last "big damage" team I'm left with 3 shielders: Kotori, SShizuko, and Kaede. They're all built a lot. You also need healing which can be covered by Ayane, Hanako, and ONodoka. But, my issue is damage. I did about 10 bars of health with ~80 remaining with my first backup team. In a best case "all 3 backups survive" scenario I'd be left with mystics trying to drain the last section of health before getting swiped by the sword. Then I'd use yellows in pure desperation, and then I'd lose. Time is thankfully not an issue, but damage is. I'm concluding "I can't complete Torment Kaiten currently"
That being said I actually did have fun trying to puzzle it out. Got to use a lot of girls I can't normally use. I sort of wish that the colored damage Insane/Torment raid bosses dealt didn't apply to non-tank Strikers but...whatever, I guess. It does force you to consider other options, but then it's like "I do not have that many options left".
additional note: I do hope they get generous and allow you to borrow more than 1 per attempt, like the Sanctum raids. being able to pull in more help for something as overwhelming as Torment would be nice

Last night I was rank ~1300 with this strategy/score. You can use An Aru strategy instead but enjoy desperately hoping for crits if you do so (I've used Aru on past raids). For damage, Aru has 3 major "hit" opportunities during her attacks and if she doesn't crit on enough of those then get fricked. Mutsuki has double that with her mines and her ex.

No idea, I didn't try with Tsukuyo but some said people it's possible. Just use safer version like using Haruka/Eimi if your Tsukuyo is 3*. The TL is pretty much same

It's harder. Aru doesn't crit as often and it can be extremely annoying to deal with.

With Just3c retiring, most of the whale raid content on Youtube will primarily come from the whale JP community dominated by Akira or Suya in the near future.

Nah this is actually just bullshit. 14 3600 cost and 3 4800 cost is already 64800 permits a month. You'd have to be gaining over twice the amount that a normal account does daily to reach that even with some ap refreshing taken into account, and that's ignoring your 44k surplus. The only way this is possible is if you ue50'd most of the characters already which is a pretty ?? move. Either that or you just never bought shit from the store to begin with and then bought them all out for one month to make a post lying that you can buy them every month without issue.

Are you playing with everyone at 3* and all the whale tears just chilling? Unless you are tremendously lucky with rolls, you get enough ligmas to ue50 about every second or third character, which works out pretty well.

With Nomi and event limiteds being 10800 tickets each to buy out getting every one is starting to become less feasible. OTOH, they're 30 frags a month so one could make reasonably fast progress on their waifu.
It's not about anything anyone else is doing wrong. You're just playing very weirdly and assume that others would be like you. UE50 is too deep for many characters, especially when you look at the limited roster and see there are units like T.Yuuka, T.Mari, S.Hoshino etc for which it makes zero sense at all. Yet you have UE50'd half of them (probably even more since I assume you are buying other things from the shop as well) and are for some reason still buying the other ones towards UE50 (my suspicion is that you are playing normally and only bought these from the shop for the one screenshot).
Each spark is about 800-900 ligma, so yes you could potentially ue50 every third character if you include some moments of getting lucky. But UE50 every third character and leaving the other 2 at 3* makes no sense from a gameplay perspective when ue50 is such a small increase for dps and only for a specific terrain. You just appear to be a whale that is trying to brag about how you can buy all the shards just because you're a day 1 player, but this is only going to mislead people because nobody else is going to be able to do this. Even if you stopped whaling now, it seems pretty obvious that you whaled early on to get those "turbometa units" to ue50, and simply didn't need to buy their shards from the shop. I don't even understand why you would make this claim in the first place.

The hell are you on? Of those three clearly only sHoshino is UE50 and she by FAR the most versatile and highly used raid striker in the game right now. Functionally everyone in plat tier runs her at UE50, and if the raid necessitates more than 1T, they generally borrow the second sHoshi for the other team. She gets used off-color where the team doesn't benefit from half her buff, even.
sIzuna, sMutsuki, sAzusa are/were turbometa damage dealer strikers which you'd be weird to run underupgraded. sHina has been maxed since her release and was my PVP bread and butter ever since (granted, she benefitted from being an early limited, and got largely pushed out of her her own raid meta very fast). sMash was UE40 for the longest time despite also being my PVP mainstay, she got to UE50 through cert shop. bKarin had to be maxed because I was struggling to retain plat on last Zilla. Seriously, how are you platting raids if none of your characters are UE50? I had to push nyFuuka and Himari to UE50 just for the scraps of extra stats to not critfish every raid for hours. Who the frick are you upgrading if not those units? Are you sitting on like 15k frags by now? Did you UE40 everyone instead?

I switched late to a Mutsuki comp that had a different order of students than the one here, seemed to work a lot better for the Mutsuki crits but instead left me malding over Yuuka's opening EX constantly being off by one pixel.
And I had one run with a perfect p1 then a great start to p2 with crits, only to have him shield right after Toki used her EX. Worst part was that run I used it earlier than I needed to, I could have instantly erased the shield if I had held it back a moment longer.

That challenge 5 is fricking cancer, I had to reset for 20m using To ko's strat just to clear it. That enemy mobs have way more atk than torment raid bosses and ally mobs are fragile.

I would've brought someone other than Atsuko, but I ended up not having any valid healing options that way. I imagine it's a bit designed for Rumi. Kaede definitely helped, but most of the enemies attacked Atsuko and her evasion was just barely okay for the job.
I don't like raising Kaede just for challenge.I think the the biggest problem is clearing it under 90 just for extra 40 gems. This is the comp I used and Koharu and Ako as healers are enough

Even when I actually watch a dozen matches to try to see what is/isn't effective anything fricking goes, the current meta comp positioned perfectly against an enemy offmeta comp from 2 seasons ago in <20sec if the latter manages to roll Tsubaki -> Iori immediately
In the end you're just maximizing your chances of success, you can always lose if you get a bad roll and/or your opponent gets a good one. You can fix bad things if you see it happen like if a unit gets flanked but as far as knowing what's meta or not it's better to be part of a community of people talking about it for more data/possible flanks you didn't know about, otherwise you're just guessing.
I don't look at what other people are doing.
I tend to be in top 100 or top 200 and I don't really care about getting to 1 outside of day 1. My attack record is like 50/50 but I adjust teams on the fly assuming others' comps (there's a lot of variety, other than how almost everyone still uses Iroha).
I never use Iroha. If it's any help, I'll share with you my defense team (it almost never loses and is attacked often because people assume it'll be easy to deal with -- it is in fact a bait team). 6/8 losses over day/night this time.

I literally don't know how this team actually performs but it apparently tears through nearly every team that tries to fight it. I'm guessing people a few things based on how I've seen my own attacks go (I never use this team on attack)
1. Hoshino really likes to run toward the backline. Even if she doesn't, her ex tends to push into the backline and Shuns and NYHarunas usually die to that.
2. Mine and Mika are so tanky that they have a tendency to survive against NYHaruna
3. If Mine gets to use her ex AND isn't being directly fired upon, that's basically usually the end of the other team (def/evasion debuff which is doubled up on in a few seconds + she can kill backline reds with her ex or with her follow up AoE attack).
4. Tsubaki is still annoying, and if she's used she probably clumps the enemy together for Mine or for Hoshino
5. If someone brings Iori to A1 or A2 Mika shreds her in literally seconds.
6. If left as a tank face-off, Karin reliably picks off blue or yellow tanks
All members are maxed out except for Tsubaki, who's at 5999 in skills. Probably should just top her off at this point.

It's possible, maybe even preferred to offense is the best defense the map, your healers can keep the NPCs alive a little longer but bursting enemies off the map as fast as possible does even more to keep the shitters alive
At one point when I was confused about the map gimmick (thought the NPCs had to DPS for you) I ran Koharu + 2-3 other healers and shielders and they still couldn't keep up either
You basically only need 1 def down stack on the mobs to kill them
You may not make the 90 sec mission if you don't have Koharu's free heal, but you can probably cycle cheap red/yellow DPS like the twins, SHina, Nagisa etc as fast as possible with one ST yellow like Iori/Mika to kill the construction machine after the intermission if you're trying to just clear

I can feel her EX cadence in my bones cause she's been on my PVP team since launch and I also use her as offtank whenever possible.
Yeah, it's awkward and looks off. Sumire's EX generally suffers because you have to learn what the overlapping zone for all three shots is, and it's slightly to the right of centerline. It'd be better if they showed all three zones like multi-grenade characters do.

If you're running Fuuka to brute force a run with Mika, cheerleading with Ui/Ako works fine still, she doesn't literally need to eat osechi rollcakes to live
If you mean literally survive then SpYuuka/SpMari/Koharu/ONodoka/SShizuko should each be able to mostly handle a run with a single backup healer like Kokona/Serina etc, or potentially protect a run solo if your rotation is fast enough
Use noob teams like mine and compromise with Phase 3 for the third team.

In my experience it's true that there's lots of people who clearly don't have any random niche unit useful for the raid mechanic, but do have some UE30~50 Mika from last anni to throw up
Honestly I'm not even sure if it's due to lacking the mechanics/support units? Every event I throw up one main DPS like Mika and one raid enabler/core support like SpYuuka/Ui for Mika or something and most of the time I get dozens of Mika borrows and zero on the support, it seems like most players either just need more DPS, or are weaker players doing sub-INS clears where they just need a solo hardcarry
Hell, this last JFE I left up Mika and also cycled various Special yellows/AoE healers or shielders and the only one getting rents was Mika who raked in 2-3 mil for some reason

Both, raids usually need one UE50 DPS and a couple of must-haves that aren't necessary to max out. Leveling all of the important raid DPS to UE50 is basically impossible for F2P players, so they're more likely to have moderately leveled wide variety of units for gimmicks and will rely on rentals for DPS. This is one of the very few raids where I'm not borrowing a DPS since I have a maxed Mika. The other exceptions so far have been raids where Sports Yuuka is required to survive.
It turns out the only thing matter is Kayoko unless you want to do torment
You might not need a Saki anyway, you probably want UE40 Kayoko. Thankfully I got two among the rentals, mine is still a measly 3* (but I'm one of those guys putting UE50 Mika for borrowing). I do also put up Saki but she's indeed only 4*.

Assuming you don't have obvious substitutes like NYFuuka or Kanna, lazy answer is probably rent Ako for the chip sustain then slap on Kotama or some other attack subber statstick in lieu of Himari. Utaha/SAyane might be worth trying, especially if their summoning times well with the stage transition?
Cherino is probably the most optional in that set, so if you can keep a frontline buffer like Xmas Serina/SHoshi alive you can try using one of them instead of Cherino then rent Himari + someone else. Even UE50 Mika needs both AkoHima to brute force through the pillars on the way to Hod I believe, so anything cheap that do the last 20-30% might also work, like Iori.
...Hare to slightly speed up your CC rotation on all pillars and Hod? Assuming she can finish after Kayoko's initial shot at high enough investment.

No Ako for x2/no Himari for roughly x2 (probably more like 1.6-1.7 IIRC due to attack being oversaturated buff)/no Ui for firing twice as often and Mika is doing 1/8 the damage, it adds up if you're borrowing a maxed Mika but have literally no cheerleaders

No you don't need a weaker Ui to do this. Mine is 5* 5MMM
Mika probably doesn't need higher bond levels.
The strategy does NOT need to be as strict as is depicted in the video. Points:
-You don't have to reset if pillar 1 doesn't die to Mika's ex. You have a liiiittle bit of leeway.
-If the 2 times Kayoko needs to hit CC, she doesn't hit, yeah, you need to reset
-You need to deal enough damage to get Hod down to 10 bars of health in phase 2 or you're fricked
-You do seem to need to actually initiate Mika's ex on pillar 2 when the time left is approximately 3:14:000.
It is extremely luck based mostly due to phase 2. Things that happen a lot:
>Mika deals only enough damage to leave 11 bars of health
>Hod summons pillars immediately
>Mika doesn't deal enough damage on pillar 1 to move on efficiently
>Kayoko doesn't land CC on Hod itself, ruining a good run

where it says to use it at 3:14:00 I succeeded in getting the towers not to spawn but then Kayako's normal didn't proc, next try I got towers. Maybe I was actually too fast on the second one.
God I hate this shit, I remember in early Hods always getting screwed because I killed the towers too fast and it fricked the start of p2

i can see why the torment clears are not as high, after 50%(?) hp, hod is basically is in soft enrage mode, dealing shitton of aoe damage periodically

The yt vid sugests 14 but 13:500 usually works for me. Make sure Ui doesn't have to catch up to the rest of your team because the girls having to wait for Ui before they start walking wastes time too.

can setup team 2 to fill up 2 bar of groggy gauge beforehand
i setup 3 bar of groggy for team 4, so they can stun hod and karin can oneshot hod

I don't think it's REQUIRED but sure helps. UE50 5MMM T8 is min requirement though.
