Reminder that you can 3* ex challenge with 2 run or more. You don't have to clear all 3* conditions in one run.

Have you tried fielding two yellow armor tanks at once? They help split up the damage taken and make it more bearable, though you still need healing.
For normal missions you can also attempt to maximize bonus event items after 3* once, it'll count if you win no matter how much time or units fall in the process, don't know if it's the same for EX challenge but IIRC those don't have bonus event items to get, just pyroxene
I learned all this stuff way too late.

You know, if not for her cost reduction at the start, SShiroko would really be mediocre for PvP. I swear to God she cannot hit evasion tanks to save her life (and mine is maxed out, except for affection).
I see multiple attacks that go the distance, and multiple defenses, where she just doesn't deal a single point of damage.

I checked the skills of my opponents' team and I think I know what must've happened. It had to be something like this: S.Shiroko was using her EX on Yuuka and she missed (like always), but on that exact frame Yuuka was using her sub heal ability, and the game counted that heal as Shirokos' damage.
It was Tsubaki/Nutsuki/Yuuka/Marina/S.Shiroko/Nagisa on my side vs NY.Haruna/Mika/Shun/Yuuka/S.Shiroko/Iroha on the opponents'. If anyone has different explanation I'd love to hear it. Still won that defense lmao

Say you're a whale and you want to spend 10000 crafting stones to get gifts for your waifu to get her to relationship rank 100. You don't give half a frick about the other mats you could get from crafting, you just want the gifts. The bulk crafting menu lets you deploy in one tap a crafting that will go through all three stages, use preset fodder materials and pick the gift node if it's available. If it's not available it chooses a random node.
Non-whales usually have two or more nodes they're equally interested in so this feature is useless to them.

Gifts are way more efficient, you can do schedules for affection as well, and making players log in once every 3 hours just to min-max feels like it goes against the bonsai nature of the game. I think it'd be better if you could only do a single headpat during each 12-hour interval, and that headpat would be worth 4x the headpats you do now. That way you could log in only twice a day and still get all of the benefits of headpatting. But even if they don't change that, gifts and schedule are still sufficient. Keep crafting those gifts.

This shit melts my maxed Yuuka like tissue paper and it doesn't look like you can cleanse the debuffs since they get reapplied nearly instantly, do you just have to pray she dodges the explosions and boss's big attacks properly?
The explosions in the first screen need to be dodge malded yes. Boss portion doesn't feel like dodge malding, the boss just does way too much damage and too many hits. I think you need to go double tank, double healer or Yuuka+Hifumi.
managed to do it with this team. you have to time when it is best to heal your tank, and when it is best to kill off the mobs for the cost boost
i've seen some comps do it without nagisa either, so it's all about aoe and timing
You can kill at least one of the enemies that casts it in the first part, with Yuuka surviving a second with no problem. During part 2 you can to never let the adds live for long

Before the game would prevent you from borrowing units you already borrowed in a real battle, even in mock battle. The recent update removed that restriction so you can test teams with a support even after using her.

They could limit students by schools and cycle through them. For instance, for one raid season only Trinity, Shanhaijing, and Red Winter students are allowed to be used, and the next season only Gehenna, Abydos, and Arius students are allowed.
That's terrible, it does nothing but limit your options, and in some types of content your options are already very limited, especially on higher difficulties.
It'd be much better to buff students that basically never see any use, so you might at least consider them. Or make new game modes where they could shine.

I'm not either of them, I do my JFDs diligently. But it does take a fair amount of time due to having to do 3 battles every single day, so I understand and agree with many players who want there to be a way to only do JFDs once and sweep them for the rest of the week. There's no point in making casual players play every day, people who want to tryhard and improve their score every day can do that if they want to.

the method that's been verified to work is: delete your normal google account from your phone, verify that the Play Store is logged in to your Japanese account, launch blue archive, verify you can buy pakeji, re-add your normal account, fix up anything that may have gotten messed up while your main account was missing
A simpler method that I believe should work: Go under settings > google > settings for google apps > play games > sign in account > change > sign out of all games, then set your default account to the Japanese one, then launch Blue Archive

Gregorious raid requires you to apply debuffs, a lot of debuffs, and Mine is a great source of debuffs because she alone has 4 debuffs. You might have to actually invest on her to survive but having your own mine would allow you to borrow something else you're missing for the next time greg rolls around.
As opposed to Summer Nonomi, who definitely wants UE50 and isn't used outside of raids where you can easily borrow her.
Xmas serina has seen a fair amount of use but normally there's alternatives or comps without her while neither shigure or noa are necessary and you shouldn't really feel bad about not having them.

As a 2nd anni newbie, should I be spending the mastery tickets on titanium needles? I buy the monthly pakeji so I've been drowning in personal weapon mats so far but I'm not sure if that's going to change as I get into the endgame with lvl40/lvl50 requiring crazy amounts of mats
No, if you're buying monthlies weapon XP is a non-issue. Things might change if/when level is bumped to 60 and you need to upgrade dozens of guns at the same time, but I wouldn't waste mastery certs now.
It's best to not buy them until you really need them. You get a ton of those mats with the monthly pakeji. One thing I do though is focus on whichever school exchange gives me the purple mat I have the least of.

The difference is that monthlies don't give you a ton of orbs for free, it's still on you to fully control the rate at which you purchase orbs. Which means that can have a total intake of 0 orbs if you neglect them, but if you're doing your school exchanges daily that's a steady supply of UE mats so it's way easier to bounce back even if you theoretically run out (which many people say you won't anyway)

They should expand the grand assault ticket expiry by 1 month (or just remove it entirely). It was more manageable when you had 2 whole months to use them by buying them at the start of the month, but now that they're a raid reward you only get them at the end of the month so you only effectively have 4-5 weeks to use them which feels way more restrictive compared to 2 months.

Shokuhou looks like a decent sidegrade to Kayoko for Hod/Hovercraft, you might want to get her if you're lacking in CC students. Misaka looks kinda trash, like only a slight upgrade to Junko, her AOE type means you'd only be using her in yellow Perorodzilla and maybe PVP. Neither are must pulls so you're not really missing out by skipping them.

Is rumi worth investing?
Rumi has the odd distinction of being decent at a whole lot of stuff but not being great at any of them with the sole exception of healing duration which she's good at an arguably excessive degree.
She's the only striker healer to get a healing stat up on her UE40 skill, so she needs a ton of investment if you want to get the most out of her. At UE40+ her initial heal is inferior to Kokona's but still good enough to oneshot Hiero's lanterns on torment. She gets an additional heal through her sub which over time surpasses Kokona's, and it's the subskill heal that's useful sometimes like in the last JFD that needed constant heals to dispel attack debuffs on your strikers. She can heal multiple students at once including herself but that's contingent on those students being in close proximity to each other, which means usually she's only going to heal the tank in front of her + herself. Think of something similar to SP.Mari's heal, it's a strong AOE heal but very limited in range. There's one other thing she's useful for though, and that's her debuff cleanse which can be nice for Perorodzilla, but you need her at EX5 for that.
I have her at 3* 5/7/M/M and while she was helpful for saving my tank in Perorodzilla there wasn't any content I found where she was amazing except for the recent JFD where my Rumi surprisingly got borrowed quite a few times.

The probability of getting spooked by one banner character while rolling for the other is almost negligible but yeah there's no reason to risk it, I'd kick myself I got a banner dupe on my 350th roll, that's why you should stack sparks and only use them after you're done rolling

Both of them feel kind of good but not good enough to be must-gets. so I'd say it should come down to how much you like them as characters, or how much you want to tryhard in Chesed (Misaka) and Hod (Misaki). If not very much for either, then don't pull, I personally really feel meh about their characters so I don't feel like I'm missing out on much by skipping. We'll also get to see just how good Misaka is in Chesed by tomorrow so maybe best wait until then at least.

It's decent. Iori is a good character. Would have been better if you got one out of Ako, Himari, Ui, Cherino, or New Year Kayoko alongside the two collab girls but I won't blame you if you want to stop rerolling here and just use this account.
went back to do more rerolls and ended up with this. had to grind out a bunch gems to pull more for misaka because i didn't get her initially but i feel a lot better about this assortment of characters.

iori/tsubaki/chise is a good starter set too, you shouldn't struggle much with progression.
For those here who don't have Kasumi but do have B.Asuna, it might be a good idea to start investing in B.Asuna now if you haven't already. Get her to 20 affection and T2 bond gear, upgrade her badge to T7/8, and prepare the resources to max her EX skill.
AOE defense debuffing looks like it's gonna be a big deal in the upcoming purple raid and there aren't a lot of characters who can do that, so it's a good idea to be prepared.

clear story stages for cafe upgrades (boost passive stamina gain) until you get walled, then spent the rest on event stages to get what you need from the event shops and empty the event gacha box for at least 7 time before the rewards get reduced
How do I 1kupa Chesed? I have a maxed Mika but the best I got is 800k remaining. Do I need to UE50 out my specials too to squeeze everything from the tiny stat sharing they provide?
you can use mika to bruteforce 2 EX even before chesed is opened
then you probably also need nyaru cost refund to squeeze in
mika (cost reduced) > himari > nyfuuka > nyaru (cost refund) > momoi > mika
to make up any remaining hp left
there also ui comp, where the damage boost from ui helps quite a lot or iori critfish along with mika
1. Ui (on Mika)
2. Clear most of the adds with Momoi
3. Wait and build up cost, set battle speed to low, hope nobody dies to self-destructing adds
4. Core opens, prepare Mika's EX for firing but wait for Natsu's normal to buff Mika first, this part helps kill the boss more reliably
5. Mika -> Ako -> Himari -> Momoi -> Mika
6. Dead boss

But this worked. SHanako is too damn OP even against yellow, damn. I wonder if you can tweak it so that you clear 3.5 waves with the first party and then in the second party you just let autoattacks take care of the rest, relieving the need for Hanako and Yuuka and letting you focus on buffs
