I had 6 days to play bomb rush cyberfunk, it was great and im starting AC6 tonight. If i didn't finish it before then I'd just play it later. I doubt they saw massive overlap for JSR/BRC fans and AC fans. They're not even in the same genre, AC6 is not going to eat up any sales it wasn't already getting.

What does AC6 play like anyway? I know its a mech game by fromsoft and I know its a longer running series from before they became famous for souls stuff, but I know nothing else about it.

Production bloat is a real and dangerous thing. Some stuff has to be left behind if you want your product to deliver in its goals and be polished. A multiplayer mode would have had to have a purpose in both story and gameplay, as well as extensive testing for bugs, crashes, and security risks with the connection.

i got through that whole part and hit every tag spot in like 10 minutes. there are hints on which way you should go.
there's also a secret where you get to the center part with the giant pit in the middle, if you fall down it, you fall down really really far and find a house down there. you can grind some train tracks that go all the way back up to get out. there's nothing down there. just a house.

The map overall needs a huge overhaul. Small markers on shitters, swap squares, and taxi signs, and also names of areas next to the exits. They took an already bad, yet serviceable, map in JSRF and made it worse.
I like that they let you see graffiti spots once you get the thing that lets you see them, unlike JSRF.
Also the map shows height of the graffiti spots.

I'm pretty sure that's the intended way considering they let you force the police turrets up even after you tag them.
There's another two graffiti spots in Versum Hill that are both also only easily accessible with the police turret being force up.

I keep falling through the stage on the helicopter boss fight and then it respawns me out in the street with no way to get back to the fight except reload the game. Anyone else run into this?
The game crashed on me right when I beat the final boss. When I opened it up again, it reset me back to the entrance to Mataan and now I can’t trigger the fight anymore.

the combat doesnt need to be challenging, but my immersion kinda broke with the crew battles. i pretty much hit a million and then put my controller down and watched my character dance.
thats really hilarious the first time, but on a repeat playthrough im gonna be bored watching the timer. Its also kinda goofy to battle the last crew for like 500,000 and then randomly talk to them and battle for 5 million. it needs to be paced better

Brute force way is to replace the tracks you don't like with 1 second MP3 files via the UABEA asset replacer.

Game was fun, but the heat system was a huge annoyance during post game. Honestly made me give up on going for all the tags, as two little tags already trigger the cops, and you have to use the terrible bathroom/taxi systems (frick all these cutscenes)
I started using the no heat mod at Pyramid Island
They would be fine if you could instantly skip their cutscenes with the press of a button.
Get the style switch and no heat mods if you want to have actual fun by removing the most annoying shit in the game.

Lets you swap between skateboard, skates, and bike on the fly, even mid-combo. Adds variety and makes roadblocks like the hydrant screws a nonissue.
The cutscenes are ass, but just don't get hit by the police lol, problem solved.
The heat gauge builds way too fast, if you wanna redo a few tags you almost instantly shoot up to 3+ heat. Wouldn't be so annoying if it didn't play a cutscene every time the damn thing went up a level. The only actual annoying enemies are the chain turrets and they're not a big deal but its the cutscene spam that really gets me.
I think most of the problems with the police are pretty fixable
1/ make the sound effects for hitting police not complete ass
2/ let people toggle off the cutscenes
3/ give people a decent incentive to engage with the cops instead of just casually avoiding them entirely
my biggest gripe with the police is how fast you gain wanted stars. Even Onishima was never this enthusiastic about getting the GGs

i did it without a fire hydrant. i just got my heat up high enough that turrets started activating. there's one directly next to the wall you would jump up to. just kick the turret to get it to rise, and then just step on it and jump over

This game is definitely a 7-8/10, easily could have been a 9-10/10 if they weren't tripping all over their goddamn feet and fully committed.
Tricking should have been more complex, at bare minimum you should have been able to modify your trick buttons into an alternate trick by leaving the analog stick neutral, if not more modifiers for more tricks for each button. I can't believe there's only one boost trick for each state your character is in. I don't understand the logic behind removing parkour grinding, why would you gimp one of your 'vehicles'?
Combat should have had more complexity to it, including KOing cops increasing your multiplier so you'd have a reason to actually fight them while trying to go for score. As a matter of fact, more things should have increased KO multiplier. Tagging spots with unique tags, polestands, cop KO's, reinforced glass busts, mixing dancing into a combo. Then they could have combined that with making the game actually challenging by making the score attack sections actually difficult by having to put up big numbers in the millions, or scale down how many points you get from tricking/boost tricking. This game was a complete cakewalk, all of the bosses were easy aside from Cyber because I didn't realize I was supposed to reflect the projectiles. The final boss was cool, but not having any control of the camera made it a pain in the ass.
With some really simple patches they could make this game amazing, and modders have shown that it would take little effort, but I doubt they'll bother. They got their payday, probably just gonna save improvements for BRC2.
Also I forgot to mention, the whole "Felix didn't even use a boost pack" was weak shit, especially since he does use a boost pack when you use him. I think it would have been more interesting if "he did it all on foot" and defaulted to parkour as his movement style. In general they really needed to do more to differentiate the vehicles because shit all feels the same, and using them as keys to get through different gimmick doors stinks. The bike should have a higher top speed, the inlines should corner better, the skateboard should get something. Either that or make characters specialists with their transport of choice improving them or something, otherwise going through the trouble of changing between board/skates/bike feels pointless.
Bikes have the longest manuals and widest turns, while skates have the shortest manuals and tightest turns (though with airboosts turn stats don't really matter)
I think they have different trick animation timing too, I know I have an easier time chaining tricks on skates compared to boards, but that might be placebo.

I guess it would make sense to teach the player the high jump during one of the last dreams if he did.
Thinking about it, you're right about that. Bike's boost grind trick takes so long to complete, it's hard to fit them in while taking hard corners for multiplier.
Even so, I feel like they're so similar they might as well have let you quick switch between them. It doesn't help that most of the 'doors' that require a specific ride I've found in the game are basically a room that has a collectible inside it. It'd be worth it if they lead to complicated sections like some of them I've found do.

I already installed bomb rush radio with the bepinex folders pre installed.
I dropped the quick swap dll into the bepinex plug-in folder. But it does nothing in game.
I can see in the bepinex console terminal that launches at startup that there are only entries related to the radio mod but nothing about the quick swap mod.
Why isn't it working?

Hit turns, hit billboards, hit halfpipes to up your multiplier
Boost trick for big scores
Swap between rails, grinding, and sliding while doing tricks to refresh your style and cash back into boost tricks
Can also swap between shoes and vehicle, but I'm not sure how much that actually helps to keep combos from going stale
No balancing on manual is compromised by it being meter-dependent on how long it stays as a combo. You reset the duration if you do a grind or do a boost trick, slides are infinite on carpets and slopes so canceling to on foot matters a lot.

DJ Cyber most likely fought with the cops to keep them from getting their hands on Felix's head, either directly or as a distraction/scapegoat to let Fesh Pince hide it.
Again its either DJ Cyber looking to catch Faux during the escape, or Faux's dad giving him cover to keep investigations from pinpointing him and his son specifically. Ultimately we just don't know or Tryce might have been talking out of his ass.

logistically the body is useless and would have been harder to escape with than just a head, which is the important part anyways, the flesh prince puts people together regularly so that is an issue they can just solve later on

Honestly I don't think the game needs more than bopping these guys once into the corkscrew graffiti.
What the combat really needs is more flair, not more depth. A little more hit stun, better visual and audio SFX, and maybe a cool looking lock-on so that flying enemies aren't such a pain in the dick.
I do think instantly swapping into parkour to deal with them is kinda dumb though.

I'm interested to know how complex it would be to mod a 'hard mode' with tougher challenges and such? Add graffitis in different spots? Add more rails to the map, or an elevator in the fish mall? So many things that could be done.

Depends on how the game is made, but considering it is Unity and I haven't looked into game's code yet, it is most likely in prefabs and might be fairly easy to unpack, modify and then pack back up.

Made my own MMHOOK (which is the main problem right know stopping the release), then stripped and publicised game's DLL, found where the cutscene trigger is via debugger and then made IL hook that removed that trigger.

It's not so bad, between all the rails on each section of where you start you can get one hell of a multiplier with little effort. It's a pain to get back topside so leave the bottom area until once you've done all the top rails.

Start with previous area but don't go to deep. Get about x20 from rails and billboards. Then get back and get all multipliers from upper area. Go to the bottom in the end and get last multipliers there. Don't forget to mix air tricks, manual and grind since you get less points if you repeat the same shit. Quit and load if you fricked up.
I just followed the rails where you start until it led me out onto the main strip, then I just did a U-turn and the other end of it and went back to where you start but going back on the opposite side of the chasm this time, then just rid the rails on the rest of the top part then jumped down to the lower level, it was pretty easy.

Just did it, all I did was circle the area top and bottom to get all leaning multipliers, and then just boost tricked to the end. Finished 30 seconds before the end of the time.

The trick system is broken when you realize you can get 1000 points per trick if you it while boosting, just hit all of the corners and wallrides you can think of, find a looping rail you can grind infinitely on and then spam boost tricks and you easily clear all challenges and achievements.

Also if you bothered to hit every multiplier you probably already have a good enough score
I don't think boost tricks gets stale, I'd have to pay more attention but I just kept hitting them and during the score challenges they would just make my score go up like crazy. If need be, boost trick while manualing both to manual for longer and to keep them fresh.

I kind of already figured out the twist once I got to Eclipse's dream sequence and was really sure about it when I did Dot.exe's one. Him not being able to do cyberhead shit and the way the dialogue and framing of the flashbacks were going, it clicked to me that "oh yeah, we must be Felix/have his memories"

When I'm trying to do score challenges, should I just focus on corners and walls? Does tricks have much to say?
Mixing different boost tricks, grind, air and manual, will net you a good 2000+ points each time, combine that with corner and wall multipliers and you'll snap it in half.
don't forget about tricks on foot
Personal opinion, get your corners and walls, then go for sliding and boost tricks as much as possible, hop back on the rails when you need to hard corner to build boost back up again. Flatland tricks help keep your boost tricks from going stale.
