They never took it out. What they did take out was the developer placeholder text outside level geometry that described some wall element as "gaybag". The most ridiculous thing is that they scrubbed the internet clean of the 1.0 release version which had it, even going so far as to making GOG violate their own terms of service since they promised to allow the downloads of every single version of a game that's been released in their store.
I still have the 1.0 setup executable because I only ever install GOG games using those backups, never with Galaxy.
I enjoyed the first one, so I'll probably pick it up at some stage. I hope there are less of those annoying little spider enemies this time around though.
