gaming was always at its best on closed and tightly controlled ecosystems that had a meaningful entry barrier
there's a reason why sega and nintendo games are fondly remembered to this day, while no-one looks back at amiga despite it shitting all over console hardware

I think these numbers are a little off because anywhere else says the millennial cutoff is 96. That makes me right on the cutoff.

Yet people still love to use them and rely on them to form opinions because it's a lot easier to generalize an entire subsection of society than to understand there's going to be good, bad and average apples

both are true, zoomers are getting hired less because the zoomers that are getting hired fit into a criteria that inherently ruins games, which is to say soulless corpos

If zoomers are driving anything right now it's probably the indie scene. Many of them are still living at home well past adulthood so they have time to create stuff. If you look at the ages of all the people under the AAA companies most of them are millennials now.

zoomers are seen as jobhoppers and/or lazy. past generations were pushovers compared to zoomers in the workspace and the israelites don't like people fighting against them. the whole quiet quitting/worker's rights thing the past couple years has upset quite a few moneygrubbing fatties

        >zoomers are seen as jobhoppers and/or lazy
there was an opening for an entry level data entry position at my office a few weeks ago.
some guy, i think in his early 20s said he had like 15+ jobs in the past and that he felt he was good for the position because has a ton of experience in lots of things.
of course they didnt end up hiring him because he felt the kid will most likely only be there for like a month before taking off.
sure it can look good on paper because youre getting all these experiences at different jobs but the dude was young and most likely has only been working since he was around 18. it just shows that he cant be trustworthy and dedicated to his work.

im in my mid 30s, been working since i was 19 and literally only had 4 jobs. 2 in retail and 2 in office jobs.

yes, zoomers are quick to quit jobs were they feel like they're either being taken advantage of or just getting paid shit. 15+ by early 20s is a bit excessive but if it works it works

            >being taken advantage of
not that im denying that shit actually happens but i feel like when zoomers mention this, its because their boss told them to do one extra thing they normally dont do. and im talking small shit like someone saying
            >"hey, our maintenance guy isnt around, can you go toss that thing into the trash"
are you seriously going to break down and cry over that shit?

Jobhopping definitely depends on industry. If you're a mcwagie then none of that shit matters, but at a bare minimum your employer wants you to be around long enough to finish a large project before moving to the next job. If you're in science/engineering/tech, I'd say 5 years is close to the sweetspot for most professionals, long enough to build a CV with accomplishments and promotions, short enough to still enjoy those job-switch salary gains.

From what I've heard the reason they do that is from a lack of "company loyalty" (lmao) because all jobs nowadays lack a reason to stick around. Things such as pensions or other benefits that encourage long term employment. As it is right now there's no real reason to stick in a job with a specific employer if you can get a better paying one elsewhere. Granted that number is excessive but still I get why he's been in so many other jobs.

            Anonymous

most, if not all people dont really stick around because of company loyalty. like in my case, dont really give a shit about the company but i do actually have great bosses and people i work with which is what makes me stay.

No generations have ever had that much sex. It has always peak sex in teens through mid/late 20s, then marriage, then the majority men getting laid a few times a month if they're lucky.

no other generation of women have been THIS shallow. 80% of women are fighting over the top 10-20% of men genetically, they don't even care about income until they've rode the wiener carousel and want to settle down with some beta who can be a stepdad for their kid(s). the sexes have never trusted each other less in the history of humanity. modern women are by large trash and men who can't measure up genetically are miserable because of it.
