I never complete skyrim, because the college's quest line is my canon ending.
Irks me that they didn't go with the original idea, college questline was supposed to end with some kind of time-frickery that saved Winterhold and makes it a thriving city again.
>skyrim can't be as bad as I remember

have a nice day
skyrim is even worse than a zoomer game, it's a zillennial game
Why are zoomers such homosexuals man
Ask
since he is one
Disliking Skyrim and pointing out its flaws is not contrarian, and it's not zoomer either because Ganker has mulled over its shittiness ever since it released back in 2011.
Your attempts to gaslight have no power here
You are definitely underage or a newbie or both.
That isn't proof. I accept your concession, enjoy your last (You).

The absolute state of this board.
What games do you like? Mature le so tired man
Skyrim unironically.
I like it, but I am not a moronic corporate drone that can't recognize the glaring flaws this game has.
Lmao get some self awareness and some fricking taste while youre at it
Lol for a while I remembered hating Skyrim but forgetting why, then I replayed it recently and it reminded me exactly why.
Mods are honestly overrated, just play the game
mods are only overrated when they're on the nexus top all time list.
Mods as a whole are overrated. Everyone thinks you need to mod the game like crazy to play it so you look through the hundreds/thousands of available mods and try to decide what to install, actually install, get it all working, and then actually try to play the game. Most of the time if you’ve just reinstalled then this process is going to completely burn out your interest in playing
>Mods as a whole are overrated.
nah, they're the only reason anyone with an IQ over 80 turns the game on. I don't even play vanilla skyrim. All I do are quest mods with my modded, custom voice waifu.
I agree that a good deal are overrated, and you waste a lot of time integrating them into your modlist for minimal impact on your actual experience playing. It's hard to come to a consensus on what mods are relatively easy to install while also giving a good boost on how fun it is to play the game, and the list could easily get polluted with shit like the Rigmor mods which have some Reddit seems to love but has really shite characters. I remember using AllGUD which let your character show the gear that you favorited. It was really neat, but the extra shit you had to do could easily turn away a beginning mod user, and you had to redo the shit every time you added mods that would include weapon/armor.
>I remember using AllGUD
damn, AllGUD is fricking crusty
use IED instead
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/62001
>play vanilla skyrim
No, thank.
I need ordinator at least.
For me, it's Vokrii.
What's the difference between Ordinator and Vokrii?
Ordinator gives you a lot more variety in your playstyle, but also requires you to invest heavily into your desired build. Of course, it offers a way for you to reset your perks so you can try another playstyle. Vokrii sticks more closely to vanilla's style where you don't have to devote yourself so strongly to any one kind of build, but it also offers some skills that Ordinator has, like Archery's Lion Arrow, so it stands out from the vanilla skill trees.
ahh alright.
I will install Vokrii instead then.
I'd also recommend Vicn's custom skill trees, if you have specific roleplays in mind. They're meant to be used in conjunction with his story mods, but they can be used on their own if you're playing some Vigilant/holy knight build, bloodthirsty beast hunter, or naked pugilist.
Thank, anon.
>playing more than 30 minutes
ROFL I installed it again on 11.11.2021. for 10 year anniversary nostalgia.
Played for half an hour and never clicked on its icon again.
Didn't bother uninstalling it.

are there any minigame mods? like you play as a tavern manager
nta but I like this gambling mod

>minigame
Triple Triad is all I can think of
and Wanderer's Heart if you wanna sail around I guess
Removing classes was a mistake. It didn't curb the problem completely, but it at least held it back long enough to give the illusion that it wasn't really a problem
How was removing something useless a mistake?
Because specializing in something early on pushes you if at least temporarily, to actually playing your character to those strengths. Every game of Skyrim starts you off as a battlemage whether you like it or not
If you want to focus on a set of skills focus on a set of skills. Not sure why you need the game to intervene.
>boot up skyrim
>remember it sucks
>close skyrim
>install Necromancy mod
>boot up skyrim
>start killing everyone to have my own army of undead soldiers
It's one of the few reasons I still play this game.
Illusion is fun too.
>done like 10 different characters in this game >never once been a stealth archer
is it really that good?
if you like sniping, sure.
I have never found it much enjoyable to compare stabbing people while invisible.
It's not like a purposeful thing I didn't even realize 'stealth archer' was a meme. It's more just kind of dumb to not crouch on your opening shots with a bow since it's like 3x damage
It's a way to complete any non-dragon encounter without being hit once. Naturally potent. Not really necessary on the lower dificulties, but on Master and Legendary until you get your shit together with smithing/chanting/alchemizing, it's either stealth archery or conjuration to keep you going.
It gets really lame when you are waiting out for minutes at a time to let a damage sponge foe lose sight of you.
even without glitches you can get
>6x sneak damage
>~40ish percent bonus archery damage on 5 pieces of equipment
>double archery damage perks
you one shot everything, magic feels really weak because you can't increase damage output by a percentage like with melee/ranged.
>Boot up Skyrim
>Try to play sword and shield
>Get tired of it and go to sword and spells again
>Remember I can double my damage with one simple trick
>Return to my dual wielding meta
I've done em all and somehow sword/shield ended up being the most fun
Magic us for effeminate males who are too pussy to hit people up close with a real weapon.
I have never been a magic focused character in ANY RPG I've ever played, unless the main character was literally forced to be mage-only.
for me, it's spellblade. cut someone's head off then put an ice spike through his buddy's face.
What if I'm a battlemage in dragonscale armor with a claymore over my shoulder? Where do I fall on the manlyness spectrum?
Ignore the shitposters and post more comfy Skyrim pics. For those playing how is your current game going?
No comfy pics. I'm waiting for Glenmoril's update to come out.
For the first time in awhile I just didn't check my mod list
Just played the game and slowly remembered what mods I had. Was a ton of fun
Not a c*mbrain so nothing weird

Baste
Finished Dawnguard. Currently taking a break due to burnout.
I was gonna make Uthgerd the Unbroken i to my battle wife but she turned on me when I attempted to assassinate a Whiterun guard for a Volkihar quest, and now I'm having serious second thoughts about tying my life together with someone so unfaithful. Pretty bummed over it, I was gonna make her a vampire to be with me forever and everything.
I'm planning to do Dragonborn next to get a dwarven sphere companion and fix uo my scuffed build, but I've made no progress due to aforementioned burnout.
What makes you think someone should let you get away with murder just for helping them out a bit?
Serana doesn't mind.
Because I want her to, duh.
With mods magic is the funniest and funnest. Most mods for regular combat are shit because the base combat is shit along with the animations. So a lot of mods cause issues. With magic all you need is to buff illusion and destruction, and get conjuration creatures and start giant wars.
why are skyrimzoomers like this?
What flaws have you actually pointed out larping child from 2014
If you have to explain why a game is bad it isn't.
>if you have to explain why an object falls back down after you throw it up in the air then it isn't true
>food analogy
aw frick you got me
take your meds
I'll take my meds as soon as you, an literal child, gets back in their time machine and goes back to 2014
very specific insult that you keep repeating apropos of nothing
because you're roleplaying as a child right? It's not funny
i'm 26 despite what the voices in your head tell you
i'm sure your mom is very proud of your for roleplaying as a petulant child on the internet, but you can stop now
Larping child troll from 2014 you've made a fatal mistake, you actually haven't said anything about skyrim
>Boot up Skyrim
>I'm going to be a Heavy Armor Khajiit
>Get crossbow
>End up becoming a stealth archer
I cri evertiem
>builds
there are no builds, you never lock yourself into anything. There's no reason not to use magic + melee as it gives you the most options to paly with. Bows are pretty boring imo and feel underpowered.
How do I make my character looked like left? She is so pretty
When did TES become the playground of midwits? Between the fanfics and ESO it has attracted nothing but low IQ knuckle draggers.
Fricking pathetic.
it's just some spammer with nothing better to do but spam the top thread on the catalogue (usually because he's bumping it)
I wish. TES threads lately attract nothing but trash and nutjobs spouting conspiracy theories.
like
Like what?
The conspiracy theory? Last time some anon was going on about some global cabal that hates Morrowind. It took up half the thread.
If you need an example of trash start at the top . Just low effort trash.
I doubt that
you wouldn't be making shit up would you
Yes I am making it up. TES threads are actually full of insightful posts expliring the complexities of the universe.
Have you been in a TES thread lately? Nothing but children having pissing contests
if you mean the spammer that hates skyrim yeah, he's been doing it for years
morrowind was the last good game
It was fine. Nothing special. It might have been the first game to attract midwits but it is far to old to be a factor in todays craptacular TES threads.
>boot up skyrim
>pick breton
>only use illusion and alteration (with ordinator and apocalypse of course)
>laugh as every known being kills themselves while im invisible and literally flying over them
>Ordinator
Do you use a mod that gives more perks per lvl up? I always install the dragon blood mod with this that gives one perk per dragon slain because I can't help myself and want so many of the perks
i use zimms artifacts which makes the ogmah infinium or however the frick you spell it gives you a perk that converts souls into perk points.
I don't remember the name but there are mod reward perk point for main quest and missive board reward perk
That seems like a pretty cool way to get extra perks
I will look for this one
But do be careful not to over grind the missive board
>I was planning on clicking on enemies until they ragdoll in this one way but I wound clicking on enemies until they ragdoll this other way
no way, man, thats nuts
Being reductive might make you feel smart but you certainly don’t look it
its not reductive if its true. Skyrim has no build variety because there are no tradeoffs and unique advantages associated with any build besides something really borderline like magic and archery builds allowing ranged attacks and melee builds not. Every build is just grind until you're immortal and oneshot all enemies.

I have 2000+ hours in Skyrim across PC and consoles. I have never modded the game.
I have 4,000 combined hours and I have never once played the game vanilla. Get on my level.
that's life, bruh. i don't think i've ever played an rpg where the devs have truly managed to balance the classes so that all classes can become equally powerful. it always just ends up where a fully leveled barbarian/fighter will end up doing better than a fully leveled rogue or wizard or healer or whatever.
Being a pure fire mage is fun as hell.
Agreed. Just using the constant fire spell and fireball was enough for me, but I always wanted to use ice too so I could wreck melee dudes.
Two-handed thu'um user is technically a battlemage right?
>Two-handed thu'um user
My Redguard. It's how Todd wanted non-magic DBs to play
I still miss Oblivion's spellcasting with a weapon in hand, though
The most fun I had with Skyrim was with my no crafting adept playthrough sword and shield maiden with the dwemer shield that has an inbuilt ward
Lorewise who would win?
Chosen undead or the Dragonborn?
Dragonborn wins 99% of the time but chosen undead will eventually get the kill and the dragonborn can't come back from that
Dragonborn shits all over chosen reddit
DB can pause a menu to slurp on potions
DB doesn't even need that, he could wreck the dodgerollgay with shouts
>Boot up Skyrim

>skyrim

there's no level cap, you can learn everything
Yes builds exist in Skyrim. Just because you can learn whatever skills you want doesn't mean you will spend the time to do so, it's why people choose to have focused builds. It's no different than Oblivion and Morrowind in that regard, the only unique thing from those games would be the birthsign you choose at the beginning of the game.
