Its a shame nobody ever plays or talks about this game anymore, the gameplay is great even if the writing is bad
Playing this with bros was great

The writing was great in 2. Was shit in every other one though
I think so too but it had its ups and downs
It helps that the voice actors really sold the world and setting that 2 was aiming for, didn't take itself too seriously
Borderlands 2 is one of the only games I know of that 100% focuses on immediate fun even if its at the expense of another aspect of the game
Probably because 2 ruined the franchise with uvhm and slag. Presequel tried to save it but the meta moronation had already been established followed by the butchering of part generation on guns 2 brought and shit writing sealed the deal. At the time bl2 was fine but once uvhm happened it made the game a tedious shit grind that did minimum to reward you for putting up with bullshit
How bad was the latest Tales game? I lost complete interest when they introduced new characters.
Its really bad, yeah. Its awful. Universally disliked.
Should have seen this coming after they butchered the Tales 1 cast in 3.
Imagine someone took a game you like and made the exact opposite of that and then told you it was the sequel.
I'm impressed they were able to frick up that badly.
How's the newest one? Tiny Tina wonderlands or what was it. Is it fun solo?
I hear its actually pretty decent and the writing is even funny in spots
>tfw played krieg and frens stopped playan it right when I got to the skill that makes him fricking viable
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>Get friends to play Borderlands 2
>Finally all of us agree
>All of them pick Mechromancer to frick around
>Tell them nevermind and leave
Why don't people appreciate having a diverse party in multiplayer games, frick this meme-lineup nonsense
you are autistic who cares
You're playing with friends. For fun. Why care if everyone is the same class in a PvE game?
Because they're all clearly picking the same character in the name of a shitty 5-second joke instead of really involving themselves in the playthrough by picking what they want to play the most
Imagine if you and 3 friends play DnD and you all play fighters with the same alignments
All it does is just water down the playthrough because everyone is doing the same shit so you don't get to appreciate anyone specifically for what only they can offer through their character
It's a videogame, anon. They don't need to take it seriously and involve themselves fully. Just play the game with your friends and have fun.
Well I understand where you guys are coming from but I could tell from their shitposting demeanor they didn't actually care to play the whole game, they just wanted to frick around for an afternoon
They pretty much immediately all stopped playing after one day and got back to playing some shit like overwatch or something
Now that fully justifies you if they were never invested from the start.
That's my issue with it, I could just tell they weren't invested to begin with which is why they all picked the same character, I recognized they'd all think it would grow stale super quick which is exactly what happened
If they organized it beforehand and actually spoke about builds or strategies they wanted to do, I would've been on board but they made that decision in 10 seconds without another thought
it's borderlands 2, that's not a thing that happens. axton gets left in the dirt, krieg and melee zero complain about everyone stealing their melee kills, and everyone gets furious when salvador reaches the level where all his glitches come online
>Imagine if you and 3 friends play DnD and you all play fighters with the same alignments
If you're able to play pencil and paper and actually enjoy that shit to start with, most groups would be capable of finding a way to make the butthole Unga Party, or the True Neutral Indecisive Swordsmen, or whatever the frick alignment they are entertaining. Lean into that shit and have some fun with it, or something.
Inability to do that sounds like a (you) problem. Lack of creativity/imagination/sense of humor, any combination or all thereof.
3 Deathtraps wrecking shit left and right sounds extremely cool, I would totally play with them
god imagine all the ricochets
I am currently on my 9th playthrough, I love this game (Axton/Survival tree)
Is 3 really that bad? I hear the guns are much better in it
RPG fps will ways be dogshit. Shooting someone in the face with a rocket launcher and only doing 5% damage will always feel horrible.
Conversely, being hit with a rocket launcher and surviving also feels pretty sweet
stop skipping side quests
It's a damn shame BL3 fumbled the bag so hard but at least BL2 is still very much replayable after 10 years.
3 is the only Borderlands game I only played thru once and never touched again. I'd consider it an accomplishment in a way.
I'll admit is does have the nicest QoL features and movement in the series but that story man... Jesus fricking christ.
Wish it were easy to find people to play this game all the way through with
Tried /vm/ and noone would bite
I'm contemplating whether to play through it again. Got a really soft spot for the head hunter DLC's but I remember most of the campaign was a bit of a slog.
>the gameplay is great
that's a laugh, kiddo.
>I deliberate came into a thread for a game that that I do not like, and I am angry for some reason???
yes yes very fascinating
Your TotK thread is 2 threads over, go have fun
>angry
no, I said it's a laugh, kiddo. as in, what you said is hilarious. it must've been a joke, much like borderlands gameplay.
>the gameplay is great
lol
Builds don't come online until too late into the game and game is a slog for like 75% of the story due to slow movespeed and bullet sponge enemies
the gunplay is nothing special. thats all you do so it should be superb in a game like this, but it isnt.
Its not just the gunplay, its the varied environments, level design, and leveling system that contribute to the whole experience
