I've never had a bad experience with randos in DRG. It's easily one of the nicest, most supportive online groups I know of.

I had literally the same experience as OP, kicked almost instantly after joining because the person could tell I hadn't played before. Annoyed me because I always saw homosexuals like you guys claiming what a wholesome heckin community it is. It's funny seeing that Helldivers dev say they don't want PvP because they don't want toxicity when I've always had the greatest amount of that kind of shit in PvE games like DRG.

See, I can tell you're lying because that only ever happens on L4D2 Versus.
L4D freaks are fricking insane. I've never played a game with a worse community. Versus is such a fun game mode and it's not playable with the L4D community. All they do is sit around for hours doing nothing as the human team fricks around and wastes time sitting knowing they will not be attacked while zombies sit around in the one place they're allowed to attack. If someone decides to attack before humans get to that spot, kicked. If humans get to the spot and someone doesn't do the one allowed move in the pixel perfect way, kicked.

Those games are filled with people that hunt the same enemies, complete the same objectives, on the same maps, for hundreds of hours. They're filled with the most neurodivergent autismos on the planet. At least with a competitive game, there's an understanding that you might lose. With co-op, the match has to be designed so that it's always winnable by the players. So these morons take it as "I should never lose" and only demand absolutely perfection.
Doesn't nuance make things more interesting, though? If I'm playing a co-op game with the objective to win for hundreds of hours I wouldn't mind a derail or two by a n0b every now and then.

Honestly not sure how you got insta kicked. So long as it's Haz 4 or under this community has been one of the more chill ones I've had with randos. Just find a lobby that needs the class you want to play and have at it. Even if you're to shy to type you can just Rock and Stone to get the point accross.

Depends on the lobby. Just avoid the ones with rank requirements or other red flags and you're fine 90% of the time.
