I’m starting to think that what happened to Clash of Clans was a proper miracle, getting the right people with the passion interest and community engagement needed for a game that has matured since the 2010s, supercell can’t seem to repeat it with any of their other IPs.

I hate randoms, they ruin the core experience of the game by how fricking stupid they are. I can’t do quick 5 minute games anymore without getting frustrated. I can go on and on about how this game is designed to frustrate you but i’m tired of it.
Better matchmaking for one, better look for group outside challenges, new PvE gamemode that is infinitely replayable and not a pain like big brawler, new temporary gamemodes, another ladder rework, mapmaking level browser, really what i want is different ways to play this game because it’s gotten stale. I wouldn’t have spent money on it if i did not like it, but i’ve honestly been waiting for too long to see very little changed in the last year.
Masteries are alright, i don’t hate them, it’s minimal effort put behind another grindfest you can only viably do in ladder.
Every new thing they add is made at such a glacial pace like they fear they’ll run out of new ideas within a year.
They are truly doing minimal effort these last 10 seasons lol

the only thing noteworthy this last year was gears 2.0 which took way too long, there was a big gap of nothing between sprays and the fairly disgruntled gears cost cut and then rework, then the box removal in december which honestly only made it worse for me as a long time player, and recently masteries which also sucks for long time players as it should of been added way sooner and none of my playtime over the years has counted to anything. all i see is less and less reason to spend money or play.
I would say the exact same thing about masteries >Almost every brawler I got at 500+ Trophies are all but Legendary or Chromatics >Legendary and Chromatics Masteries have slightly more rewards than Masteries of other types
Oh yeah and also the box removal I can say might be worse in long term because from the Brawl pass you only gain enough Chroma credits to gain a single Chromatic Brawler (Even with the BP), if you'd want more, good luck grinding the frick out of the Masteries from Chromatic brawlers
Now gaining Gold isn't too much of an issue (For me at least) but sometimes I wished that you got a Free gear for each brawler
Because as if spending almost 8k coins to level up a brawler to max, spending 4k more or even 5k (For the brawlers with Special Gears) is almost a scam
And makes me wish sometimes that, even if its for BP Owners, we got slightly more rewards once we completed the pass

I have over 17k wins across all modes, with 235xp levels before removal, masteries have been a good idea for once but it’s been well over 4 years since the game went global what took them so long? it’s not like there’s anything interesting in particular about them that required additional development to implement, really just getting ideas off other games as they come and doing jack shit otherwise.

Eh, I'd say you're the issue but by this Pont probably only the dumbest most casual, usually high and afk players still have that challenge left. I think I blew though on day one in maybe an hour or less. But I had like 2 or 3k trophies at the time.
i waited for my team to do it and only then found out it’s solo queue, matchmaking was a mix of 50% sub 5k or afk or bots, i don’t have much tolerance for shit matchmaking left, it’s only gotten worse in the last year and a half.

I've basically swallowed the pill that there is 30% to 40% of the roster that can frick you hard in most situations when you or your team collectively aren't OP. I'm just addicted to this game. Just get better at retreating to cover when they can frick you and charging when you have advantage, like if you kill someone and your confident you can dodge the others. I find that I can sometimes win hard situations when I deny or bait the strong brawlers with good predictive positioning and dodges and also well timed retaliation with good and predictive aim and camping walls. Basically play safe and scared because you will see that's the only way because you die too easily otherwise. But with bad randoms on your team and competent and OP brawlers on the enemy team you can't win even if you're better. Unless they allow you to pick them one by one or something else like charging past them with ball.
Damn, Willow's kit fricking sucks, ik she's in a Mythic rarity because of how her Super requires a lot of coding but her Main Attack is literally Barley's AOE but with Crow's poison tick and Byron's damage
I don't understand this, why would a Brawler that's a sea creature in-lore become stationary after user their Super?
Sure it makes sense for Nani to be stationary when maneuvering Peep as a Nanny Cam Robot, but they could've made it so that hitting Willow's Super and controlling an enemy Brawler would cause your former character to retreat to a safe place by a Bot.
I knew some people would come up with a SP concept that reduces damage while Willow's Super is active but THAT doesn't make sense for her lore, she's literally a Creature From The Dark Lagoon inspired brawler (in her animation preview, we can see there are multiple brawlers that are Hex'd), (ik there are some logic ig that alr don't make sense) 'Cuz it'd be too similar to Nani's Tempered Steel SP.
Supercell should've reworked her Super into a projectile that converts enemy Brawlers into Bot Allies just like the ones found in Friendly Matches (also the ones that go ham with their main attack and slightly increased movement speed).
I have never been more disappointed in a brawler's concept 'til this week.
TLDR; Willow is Mythic according to Supercell due to her complex Super but her shitty main attack is a combination of Barley, Crow and Byron.
Nani staying still while using her Super makes sense 'cuz she's a Nanny Cam Robot
but Willow stays still when her Super successfully hits an enemy even though she's a sea creature? Tf? It'd be better if she automatically retreats while controlling an enemy.
I predicted that people say Willow should get a Tempered Steel SP but her preview animation shows she's not directly "mind controlling" multiple Brawlers.
Rework how her Super works, instead of controlling enemy players, it makes them switch teams temporarily and be piloted by Bots like in friendly games.

Making willow automatically retreat would make her super overpowered as frick because it would be way too safe for such a powerful ability. Also from a competitive standpoint that idea sucks because giving control of a character to an unpredictable bot adds an element of randomness that ruins competitive matches which is why chester was so controversial when he came out. Here’s your lore explanation for why willow needs to stand still: Mind controlling people is hard work so she needs to concentrate and be still to do it.
i love this Stinkyfish because she seems to be designed to be a more aggressive character but i don't get how and why her super is like this, there is no right place to use it besides hiding and using it as a surprise attack, the range is too short to be useful and the moment it ends, she will be killed either because she isn't hiding in a wall and her hp is shit or the super will be useless since you can't really kill anyone with the super by itself. Either buff or rework that shit, let me use the super behind walls or give me a better range, just do something better than what it is now, even giving her a random beam attack as a super would be better than this.

But in the other hand, certain skins can't be bought, Trophy season resets don't seem to give you much Bling (If the Brawl Talk footage is anything to go by) and I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually decide to make Mythic skins or other crap available for Bling at an enormous price
And also the rate at which Star Points will be converted to Bling (Which seems to be 10:1); so if you currently have 10k Star Points, enough for some of the current skins (Which will be worth 79-149 gems after the update), you'll instead have 1k Bling which is only enough for a Rare skin (Which is worth 30 gems).

Chromatic brawlers are getting a chroma credit price reduction. 2500 to unlock a new brawler during the current season instead of 4500, and 1250 to unlock them during the next season instead of 1500.

I’ll be honest, boxes were a guilty pleasure and felt way better than whatever the current mess is trying to do. I’m not happy with the non-gaccha progression where gold is bundled in larger amounts a few times a week, the game after they removed boxes genuinely feels a chore to progress in. The current implementation of starr drops is terrible and completely misses the point of what made boxes “fun”, you got a consistent stream of resources with the uncommon gadget or star power, and you could stockpile boxes for unboxing sprees.
You can’t stockpile starr drops, the time investment is much bigger, the rewards feel awful and they gutted CL in the process. Meg was the last brawler that you could use your stockpiled boxes on, getting new brawlers outside bp is such a pain now. I save credits, new brawler comes out, i use my credits, that’s it.
Gaccha was moronic in it’s own way but this is just all the worst elements of the old system, with none of the good bits, in an even worse package, and you have to slave away at it, and you got screwed over if you were in a good club or cares about PL.

We don't actually know how many of the players would have picked shelly if she was available. If a brawler is overbanned, it doesnt necessarily means it would have been overpicked. Shelly is a rounded up brawler at the moment, so it makes sense for her to be banned/picked a lot.

HARD SUDDEN nerf to PP. PP becomes completely irrelevant very quickly. No flexibility means no way to move that progress to gold.
Hard nerf to PP suddenly means that for late game players, about half the value of buying the brawl pass is now gone.

They are seriously going to sit on their ass and hemorrhage players just like Clash Royale was and still is while pushing more and more seasonal cosmetics with every new content update being creatively corrupt and refusing to change what makes the game stale, it wouldn’t be so bad if more than 40% of your potential resources weren’t gated behind dailies.
I’m starting to think that what happened to Clash of Clans was a proper miracle, getting the right people with the passion interest and community engagement needed for a game that has matured since the 2010s, supercell can’t seem to repeat it with any of their other IPs.

I hate randoms, they ruin the core experience of the game by how fricking stupid they are. I can’t do quick 5 minute games anymore without getting frustrated. I can go on and on about how this game is designed to frustrate you but i’m tired of it.
Better matchmaking for one, better look for group outside challenges, new PvE gamemode that is infinitely replayable and not a pain like big brawler, new temporary gamemodes, another ladder rework, mapmaking level browser, really what i want is different ways to play this game because it’s gotten stale. I wouldn’t have spent money on it if i did not like it, but i’ve honestly been waiting for too long to see very little changed in the last year.
Masteries are alright, i don’t hate them, it’s minimal effort put behind another grindfest you can only viably do in ladder.
Every new thing they add is made at such a glacial pace like they fear they’ll run out of new ideas within a year.
They are truly doing minimal effort these last 10 seasons lol

the only thing noteworthy this last year was gears 2.0 which took way too long, there was a big gap of nothing between sprays and the fairly disgruntled gears cost cut and then rework, then the box removal in december which honestly only made it worse for me as a long time player, and recently masteries which also sucks for long time players as it should of been added way sooner and none of my playtime over the years has counted to anything. all i see is less and less reason to spend money or play.

And makes me wish sometimes that, even if its for BP Owners, we got slightly more rewards once we completed the pass
I have over 17k wins across all modes, with 235xp levels before removal, masteries have been a good idea for once but it’s been well over 4 years since the game went global what took them so long? it’s not like there’s anything interesting in particular about them that required additional development to implement, really just getting ideas off other games as they come and doing jack shit otherwise.

Eh, I'd say you're the issue but by this Pont probably only the dumbest most casual, usually high and afk players still have that challenge left. I think I blew though on day one in maybe an hour or less. But I had like 2 or 3k trophies at the time.

I've basically swallowed the pill that there is 30% to 40% of the roster that can frick you hard in most situations when you or your team collectively aren't OP. I'm just addicted to this game. Just get better at retreating to cover when they can frick you and charging when you have advantage, like if you kill someone and your confident you can dodge the others. I find that I can sometimes win hard situations when I deny or bait the strong brawlers with good predictive positioning and dodges and also well timed retaliation with good and predictive aim and camping walls. Basically play safe and scared because you will see that's the only way because you die too easily otherwise. But with bad randoms on your team and competent and OP brawlers on the enemy team you can't win even if you're better. Unless they allow you to pick them one by one or something else like charging past them with ball.
Damn, Willow's kit fricking sucks, ik she's in a Mythic rarity because of how her Super requires a lot of coding but her Main Attack is literally Barley's AOE but with Crow's poison tick and Byron's damage
I don't understand this, why would a Brawler that's a sea creature in-lore become stationary after user their Super?
Sure it makes sense for Nani to be stationary when maneuvering Peep as a Nanny Cam Robot, but they could've made it so that hitting Willow's Super and controlling an enemy Brawler would cause your former character to retreat to a safe place by a Bot.
I knew some people would come up with a SP concept that reduces damage while Willow's Super is active but THAT doesn't make sense for her lore, she's literally a Creature From The Dark Lagoon inspired brawler (in her animation preview, we can see there are multiple brawlers that are Hex'd), (ik there are some logic ig that alr don't make sense) 'Cuz it'd be too similar to Nani's Tempered Steel SP.
Supercell should've reworked her Super into a projectile that converts enemy Brawlers into Bot Allies just like the ones found in Friendly Matches (also the ones that go ham with their main attack and slightly increased movement speed).
I have never been more disappointed in a brawler's concept 'til this week.
TLDR; Willow is Mythic according to Supercell due to her complex Super but her shitty main attack is a combination of Barley, Crow and Byron.
Nani staying still while using her Super makes sense 'cuz she's a Nanny Cam Robot
but Willow stays still when her Super successfully hits an enemy even though she's a sea creature? Tf? It'd be better if she automatically retreats while controlling an enemy.
I predicted that people say Willow should get a Tempered Steel SP but her preview animation shows she's not directly "mind controlling" multiple Brawlers.
Rework how her Super works, instead of controlling enemy players, it makes them switch teams temporarily and be piloted by Bots like in friendly games.

Making willow automatically retreat would make her super overpowered as frick because it would be way too safe for such a powerful ability. Also from a competitive standpoint that idea sucks because giving control of a character to an unpredictable bot adds an element of randomness that ruins competitive matches which is why chester was so controversial when he came out. Here’s your lore explanation for why willow needs to stand still: Mind controlling people is hard work so she needs to concentrate and be still to do it.
i love this Stinkyfish because she seems to be designed to be a more aggressive character but i don't get how and why her super is like this, there is no right place to use it besides hiding and using it as a surprise attack, the range is too short to be useful and the moment it ends, she will be killed either because she isn't hiding in a wall and her hp is shit or the super will be useless since you can't really kill anyone with the super by itself. Either buff or rework that shit, let me use the super behind walls or give me a better range, just do something better than what it is now, even giving her a random beam attack as a super would be better than this.

Im really conflicted on Bling
On one hand, it might actually be better than the current Star Point system if they are gonna give them out more often, and its good to have ways that don't (fully) waste your gems, and looking back, the amount of Bling at Tier 1 of Brawl Pass gives you the required amount for a Super Rare skin, so you are getting a skin either way
But in the other hand, certain skins can't be bought, Trophy season resets don't seem to give you much Bling (If the Brawl Talk footage is anything to go by) and I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually decide to make Mythic skins or other crap available for Bling at an enormous price
And also the rate at which Star Points will be converted to Bling (Which seems to be 10:1); so if you currently have 10k Star Points, enough for some of the current skins (Which will be worth 79-149 gems after the update), you'll instead have 1k Bling which is only enough for a Rare skin (Which is worth 30 gems).
I just fricking hope that I won't need a billion Bling to claim Mariposa Piper after the update comes out

Supercell is incredibly based for capping most in game currency and making it auto-collectable after a while. It's drives the most annoying spergs in the game insane and hopefully makes them quit entirely.

I’ll be honest, boxes were a guilty pleasure and felt way better than whatever the current mess is trying to do. I’m not happy with the non-gaccha progression where gold is bundled in larger amounts a few times a week, the game after they removed boxes genuinely feels a chore to progress in. The current implementation of starr drops is terrible and completely misses the point of what made boxes “fun”, you got a consistent stream of resources with the uncommon gadget or star power, and you could stockpile boxes for unboxing sprees.
You can’t stockpile starr drops, the time investment is much bigger, the rewards feel awful and they gutted CL in the process. Meg was the last brawler that you could use your stockpiled boxes on, getting new brawlers outside bp is such a pain now. I save credits, new brawler comes out, i use my credits, that’s it.
Gaccha was moronic in it’s own way but this is just all the worst elements of the old system, with none of the good bits, in an even worse package, and you have to slave away at it, and you got screwed over if you were in a good club or cares about PL.

Moving away from control of resources. Resources on rails with star drops, removal of clan shop.
HARD SUDDEN nerf to PP. PP becomes completely irrelevant very quickly. No flexibility means no way to move that progress to gold.
Hard nerf to PP suddenly means that for late game players, about half the value of buying the brawl pass is now gone.
I wouldn't say game is dead but people are getting squeezed.

Free track has:
12240 Coins
3550 pp
Paid track has
5695 Coins
2400 pp
You can only afford that every other month, so each month it's effectively
2847 coins
1200 pp.
For a total of 15887 gold
5950 PP
Each pass has a new brawler. It costs
7765 gold and
3740 pp to get a brawler to 11.
Plus 2k for gear, 1k for gadget, 2k for one super.
That's 12765 gold and 3740 PP.
Leaving 3122 gold and pp that will never get spent.
Some months we'll have more than one brawler. If we're on the tempo of having 5 more paid hypercharges per pass, it means another 25000 a month.
Even with the star drops, I expect all ftp people to eventually fall futher and further behind.
Oh, unlimited PP also means that at some point they're going to enable level 12+. I guarantee it.
