In which ways? Sounds neat
You control a single entity on a world map, at least in the initial part of the game. There's no real time battles, sadly unreal engine doesn't do well with that many skeletal meshes.
The new version is up now, just had a weird nav mesh bug.
Will the game have a map of the real world with real cultures, or will it just be generally bronze age inspired?
Not real cultures just very inspired so fake celts, fake mesopotamians etc. That's one of the reasons I say mount and blade like.

There is no way we have enough information for those borders to be anything but guesswork. Tartessos left us barely anything to go by except a handful of artifacts and some fleeting mentions from other cultures.

This map switches from ethnicity/haplogroups to language group in the bronze age and doesn't make a whole lot of sense when you take a step back
Not Yamnaya but you can go around enslaving people.
Most of that was Corded Ware actually, Yamnaya was just the Balkans and some of Anatolia

Pretty sure it's dead. Last update was in 2021 according to Steam.
Pre-Dynastic Egypt is pre-bronze age but pretty neat
just play Bronze Age Reborn in Imperator (fork of the original mod before they moved to ck3)
