Bully 2

What are some of the things that you'd like in your ideal Bully sequel? (That we probably are never gonna get)

There are lots of different ways that they could take on it. Such as making a game on Jimmy Hopkins college years, a prequel focusing on old Bullworth, or maybe even a new protagonist dealing with new cliques and rival schools.

But personally, i just want it to have a makeshift rifle that shoots a cola beam, to attack Zoomers doing tiktok dances on Campus

I don't think zoomers get in fights enough to make a proper Bully sequel even slightly plausible.

As a zoomer who just graduated, fights happen all the time. Zoomers are some of the dumbest, most emotionally unstable people in the US.

Girls are ruthless, unironically bigger bullies than the boys

Subvert expectations and make it a female protag at an all girl school.

      >unironically wanting to play as a girl
      homosexuals

I see it more like exploring a new world that just co-existed with mine. Different perspectives are always interesting.

it's not about playing as a girl as much as being in an only girls boarding school. You will still have panties stealing missions but you will also see girls bullying and competing with each other. With fun late 90s / early 00s humor and character types. It sounds like a lot of fun tbqh

It's always about sex with you homosexuals. I'm playing a game, not staring at my character or his/her ass.

Renegade/paragon type system that impacts the effectiveness and style of your bullying
Multiple endings based on alignment with cliques and your alignment on above scale
    Bring wedgies back
Hobbies like sports or after school clubs
More rpg elements like character stats that can be developed in classes and relationships
More options for jobs and earning income and using that income to buy clothes and upgrades for your dorm room and stuff

I haven't played the original in many years, but I love love love love loved it when it came out.
Something that should be considered is the time it takes place. The original officially takes place in 2006, but it really doesn't. Aside from the arcade machines (which were also incredibly out of date by 2006 of course), everything about the game seems to be inspired by tropes from the 50s, it's not even really influenced by the classic 80s teen/high school films. It's also incredibly British in its aesthetic for a game set in the USA and so inspired by Americana.
I like all of these elements, but they do remind one that the quality of the game wasn't achieved by simply looking at what's happeing in schools. Would it have been better if they did? Perhaps, but it's not what they did and it's not indicative of what worked in Bully.

There's countless possibilities to dunk on zoomers or whatever or make the character's phone and social media a focal point, but as much shit as the original already got in 2006 it would be a million times worse today, especially if it more closely resembled contemporary IRL bullying or just school bullshit. Do you really want a game where you can send someone mean DMs after school? Trick the friendless autistic girl into thinking you'll love her if she sends nudes and when she does you share them with all the other kids and she ropes? Generic satire of troons and zoomer fragility or -- even worse -- catering to zoomers and trends?

Something unique about Bully is its world rhythm. Get to class on time. Truancy. Cliques and how they respond to you. Every npc is a named character. But none of it is that deep. You can kiss a bunch of girls and guys but you can't take any of them on a date. You can greet or insult everyone but you can't make a friend or an enemy. I think there's a lot to be gained in the world reactivity and the depth of the simulation.

I'd be happy with anything, really.

What's the point. Fricking Rockstar shelved the game years ago which still pisses me off

Bully hits it's notes so well that any sequel would be either radically different or the good type of sequel we don't make anymore, featuring the same core mechanics of 1 but incredibly expanded (more students, more side activities, more classes, better fights, etc)

I would be down just to have the original game but greatly expanded on the amount stuff that you can do and characters you can mess witb

In a perfect world, I'd rather have the same vibe, premise and atmosphere with a better story and characters and these greatly expanded mechanics
I liked the story and all but there's some big gaps in logic

There is a lot of stuff that got cut out from the original game. Like a better combat system, a bunch of different missions plus areas and mechanics that didnt make the cut due to time constraints and PS2 limitations
