I uninstalled it last night.
No you didn't
I did. Needed the space for another game.
Why didn't you finish it? It's not like it's a lengthy game, and the fact you got halfway through it shows you were at least interested.
I finished it, just didn't hunt for achievements. It isn't that long but it sure felt like it was. It isn't good enough for another play through and there were moments that were plain awful.
is it good?
Did you play the original GG and GG:OD? Then yes.
I'm not a fan of worst k*reans either and the kpop idol spamming fags make me even more vitriolic, but this game is genuinely on par with the other GG games.
Don't be a fucking moron.
>Don't be a fucking moron.
fucking retarded moronlover
mcfuckingkillyourself
morons don't care about Gungrave, only whites and japs do.
you are a brain damaged retard, look who developed G.O.R.E. you fucking dog eater, really explains why this game is so shit
fucking piece of biowaste
Just how brain damaged are you? Because this one Gungrave game was developed by morons, regardless of if it's as good as the first 2 games, you refuse to play it?
The train level was a bit rough, but it gave me a laugh when I fell off the side and instead of ragdolling Grave t posed on the tracks instead.
I wanted to like it but the platforming sections were terrible. The massive mobs of different enemy types with some shields sprinkled in is lazy and a pain in the ass if you get stunlocked by not doing 3 different moves at once. I could never seem to keep my beat count up during downtime even just never ending shooting objects. Usually I don't mind repetitive gameplay if its engaging but this was 10 hours of shoot walk forever, get meter up use the special to get mobs of random fuckers off of you. Storm barrage was useless. There's a reason the other games were even shorter. Its bogged down arcade style gameplay, its made like it wants to eat your quarters.
The recap animation was cool but they could have slowed it down a tad.
I appreciate your take, it's nice to see something honest as opposed to this tripe:
No prob, I don't mind a bad game from time to time, its a shame this wasn't more deserving of a dignified reception but it just didn't earn it. I miss games of this ilk being the norm, that being soul and edgy.
I suppose 300 was a standard average on my playthrough but I don't remember getting to 1000, maybe 700-800 on rare occasions but the split seconds it took to lose it were aggravating. I also played it at launch since it was on gamepass.
Bunji felt okay to play as but fuck Quartz' mission. I'm guessing both feel better with the new content and updates?
>can't keep beats up during downtime
Unironically? Skill issue. I was able to keep a handy 300+ beats if I saved some of the breakables after I was done with the main horde of enemies, there was a time I even managed to reach 800-1000+ beats easy just by keeping the breakables around instead of immediately shooting them down. I do get your hate towards platforming however, though I think the jankiness of Gungrave games in terms of platforming is to be expected somewhere around in the middle, always a bit lower, though G.O.R.E. was a little more tolerable, in my opinion atleast. Storm barrage is dogshit yeah, there's no much use to it since you're forced to shoot to your sides instead of actually, you know, shooting all around you like a proper AoE move? There's a bit more depth to keeping your beats up but it boils down to replaying a level once at the very least to know what to break and what to save so the counter doesn't disappear. You can't say it didn't improve though, on release the game was more painful and much more of a fucking slog than it is now, the recent updates actually improved gameplay heavily, in my opinion.
>The massive mobs of different enemy types
complete non-issue unless you think standing still and shooting is a good idea. The game gives you options and upgrades so your melee can be absurdly damaging. you should be fucking shooting, throwing out melee and grabs in the middle.
the biggest issue is that you have no idea what type of game this is and you're not sure of what you should be doing unless you're an OG gungrave fan.
>you refuse to play it?
I've played it, you brain damaged retard, and I did not enjoyed it and uninstalled after playing it for two hours. It's fucking garbage compared to first two games.
M C F U C K I N G K I L L Y O U R S E L F
>It's fucking garbage compared to first two games
kek no, the first Gungrave was worse. It's about as good as Overdose. I don't think you've played ANY of these games.
>and I did not enjoyed it
fuck off ESL
Its fine. Its biggest disadvantage is that, despite being a new game, it innovates very little when compared to the earlier Gun grave titles.
no
I'd rather have him dead than get raped by korean dog eaters
this game alone filled me with enough hatred for koreans it's fucking unreal
BRANDON HEAT!!!!!
BLANDON HEATO
It'll be fine, OP.
His name is Beyond the Grave for a reason.
you seem like an obnoxious little cunt, so no thanks. fuck you and fuck your gay ass teenage edgelord piece of shit game
>teenage edgelord
Gungrave is older than you, zoomer.
I wanted to play this game but the usual unreal engine stuttering put me off
could try it on my series s I guess
I have an rx580 8gb, absolutely zero stuttering for me. 1080p 60fps all the way through.
I went back to it recently and really enjoyed it.
Meh, it was fine, Gunplay finally opened up but everything else sucked. 100% it was a big chore. And for some reason my xbox was screaming in agony when playing this game.
>not playing the constantly patched and updated PC version
Sometimes I forget there's actually people here with chromebooks and their ''gaming'' experience comes from consoles
I wanna get it but I'd rather not pay full price for it to be honest. I'll wait until it's half-off or something like that.
It was 25% off like a week ago
Is this anything like 10.000 Bullets?
It's better in every way.
Sell me on Gungrave. I just recently finished beating 10000 like 4 times because I fell in love with how surprisingly deep the mechanics are and how that depth combined with the character customization felt like God Hand with guns.
Well that's different, I recently sold my copy of 10,000 bullets for the PS2.
Gungrave is more arcadey, it's very style based. You unlock moves and so on, and a bunch of screen clears. They're not as similar as I implied, I just think Gungrave is the better game.
Don't you fucking dare, Trigun was SHIT compared to Gungrave.
>Trigun was SHIT compared to Gungrave.
It's funny you say that, because I would have described 10000 as arcadey. Is Gungrave hard, like the sort of game you want to git gud at by replaying a bunch? Or is it more of a power trip where you're just mashing to the end and enjoying the spectacle?
It's both a power trip where you maul hundreds of enemies and then a kick in the ass when some situations fuck you over, but they only fuck you until you realise the special meter builds quick and the game wants you to just nuke every motherfucker ever constantly.
Prove me wrong, the 24 episode Gungrave series shits all over Trigun.
I think I'll try emulating the first game, given that everyone says that the new one is more of the same. Is it the sort of thing where it gets more fun later on/on replay, or if I don't like it from the start, it's probably not gonna change my mind in a few hours?
But I prefer Trigun and it died for Gungrave.
It's souless Unreal engine garbage.
When I see that U logo on startup it fills me with the same dread as the Unity logo does when booting up an indie game.
I am starting to prefer games made in unity over unreal engine ones
How's it souless? What does the engine it was made from have to do with the actual game itself?
If you know, you know.
My eyes are open now.
Go straight to the sequel, Overdose. It's essentially the same game but far improved, and more representative of GORE.
I appreciate the heads up.
