>Buy Xbox
>Play Halo MMC and Hogwarts Legacy before just going back to my PC to play MMOs
>Buy Steam Deck expecting to just use it as a tinker machine. Want to have fun doing shit like replacing the shell, upgrading the SSD, and fricking around with Linux
>End up playing all of the shit I didn't play from Xbox like Control, Spyro, Lego games, and a metric frick ton of good 3D platformers
Is that what I've been missing? Does sitting at your desk for both work and gaming/your hobbies frick with you that much?
I just like it because I don't resent lower poly games on the Steam Deck since their shit graphics are balanced by the extended battery life. It makes no sense why that would matter, but it does.
>Does sitting at your desk for both work and gaming/your hobbies frick with you that much?
I've lost count of all the friends and coworkers who have back problems for doing that.
guys let me tell you, I have never been happier with a gaming related purchase in my entire life than buying my SteamDeck! I get to play my favorite games from my Steam library on the go!
I was gonna buy this in the future, but seeing them sell refurbished models has made me sweat. That means too many people are returning theirs, and it's worrying me.
It's probably because 64gb model or fricked up fan.
just as expected. I don't hate Valve, but like hell if they're gonna get 500 bucks from me, when they can't even handle bots in TF2, or the stupid amount of resource consumption from their launcher.
64GB problem can be fixed by swapping the SSD. As for fan, the problem come from certain brand. So not all deck have the problem.
>homosexuals couldn't kill Steam Deck discussion by heaping shit on it
>they're now trying to pretend to be shills to ruin discussion of it
cope
It's a mystery to me why people would try to destroy the discussion of like, the best handheld in years.
It's like a vita, but it actually has games, and thumbsticks that don't break if you put it in your pocket.
Ganker is filled with tons of genuinely mentally ill people
What the hell kind of pants do you have that have pockets large enough to stuff a Steam Deck in?
What kind of pants you wearing that you can't fit a Steam Deck in there?
it was the deck threads that made me realise just how many vocal mentally ill there are on v. seeing how they are nowhere near as noticeable in random threads i peruse i can only assume that valve unironically triggers the insane.
frick if i can figure out the why and how though. maybe its some sort of stockholm syndrome ptsd after getting fricked in the ass by m$ / snoy / ninty for decades, everything that doesnt treat you like subhuman consoomer cattle is automatically seen as hostile.
I feel like it might be partially conditioning. Work = stress, stress = no fun
If you always use your fun in bed then you're making it harder for you to fall asleep fast as your brain expects to be somewhat alert for content
>Does sitting at your desk for both work and gaming/your hobbies frick with you that much?
100x yes
You are conditioned to act a certain way when you repeat actions over and over again in any static environment.
I do not need to be paid to sign the praises of the Steam Deck. I don't even need to defend my purchase as I got mine for $0.00 by selling CSGO cases. It's good for emulation, good for pretty much any game on Steam that doesn't absolutely require KB+M and good to bring around with you to friend's places to play multiplayer games. What could be better?
Hi Pajeet shill. Also a laptop
i bought a SteamDeck and dont really use it. i already got a beefy af pc tho, so thats probably why. trying to sell mine at a decent discount at the moment and there doesnt seem to be much of a second hand market for them. if i cant sell it, I'm probably going to turn it into a HTPC.
yep, i'm thinking deck flopped and shitted EXTREMELY fricking badly
What do you think the odds are that we get an Index Gen 2 before the Deckard?
Deckard IS the Index gen 2
For all intents and purposes, sure, but I'm sure they have plans to release another handheld as well.
but the index is a headheld, not a handheld
I meant to say Steamdeck, but obviously had the Deckard on the brain. I'm moronic.
hi moronic I'm anonymous
Why does the deck attract so many schizos?
We won
I won
Valve don't have marketing budget.
>own gaming pc
>own long hdmi cable
>can play in bed
did I pay less, get better quality, and outsmart Ganker?
if you don't want to play on the go or on the shitter as well, then yes.
