Outcast is still fantastic but Academy's campaign is kind of shit. It gets way too easy once you learn all the mechanics.
The Kyle Katarn games are trash. I'll never understand the praise they get on here. They're all inferior copies of better games that were around at the time.

Dark Forces is a Doom-clone and the Jedi Knight games are just Quake mods when you look past the Star Wars veneer.
Show me the part in quake where you wallrun and slice a person in half with a sword.

what are you even comparing it to since to suggest that it no longer is? no game with lightsaber combat released since Jedi Academy and Outcast plays anything like either of them to make the comparison.
One masterpiece begets another. George laid down the final word in cinema, and amazing games soon followed.
Lightsaber dueling is the pure focus of the game, with storytelling, level design and force powers accompanying it but not necessarily stealing the spotlight or trying to share the same focus.
the EA Souls-likes try to copy combat mechanics and the feel of fighting from those games alongside puzzles and platforming, Battlefront is more focused on the trooper gameplay, KOTOR is an RPG and has to favor build variety, etc etc.

Squadrons is the worst vehicular Star Wars game I've played. I thought the Starfighter games sucked at first but Squadrons made me re-think my judgement.
why do you hate the star fighter games?
Destroyers and frigates are laser sponges, it's lazy design. In the Rogue Squadron games destroyers usually have key points and you don't spend 10 minutes shooting on said key points. Dogfights in starfighter are fun too... when it's not a boss who is also a laser sponge.

Didn't this come out before the actual movie, yet it had actual clips and spoiled the whole thing? Lego Star Wars too (minus the actual clips obviously), unless I'm misremembering.
Either way I remember it being pretty damn fun and having an alternate ending where Anakin wins the final fight and it unlocks Darth Vader and old Obi-Wan for the multiplayer.
