Can a toomer explain to me what the point is?

Can a toomer explain to me what the point is?

I am a lonely autist, watching an eceleb I like stream some game that could be funny. And even I think it’s unwatchably boring, 90% if it is just awkward silence where reads the chat, answers chat, or talks about audio levels

Where is the enjoyment?

Parasocial relationships. Thinking you're friends with the streamer even though you're one out of hundreds or even thousands.
Yes, it's as abusive as it sounds.

Are you implying that an egirl who is happy when a certain name that has donated hundreds of dollars shows up in chat and gives money isn't exploiting some lonely loser's lack of actual social interactions or is genuine in general?

Damn.... this really says a lot about the society in which we live

I stream and also watch other small streamers, you can find some fellow video gamer nerds to be friendly with.
Bigger streamers can be entertaining but there's no point in chatting because no one reads chat when it's zooming by at a mile a minute

who can say? it's truly a mystery. i mean not really, unless you're one of those homosexual kids who watches dudes. you'd have to ask one of them

    How to enjoy Twitch:

    >Find a small streamer who will respond to your messages
    >Wait until a stream ends and watch the highlights or clips
    >Spam emotes with other zoomers until it starts to be fun

Maybe you shouldn't have kept them from going to school if you wanted them to learn social skills.

I mostly browse by game category and watch smaller streamers do first playthroughs of linear or mostly-linear games that I have already played and enjoyed. It's the closest you can get to playing them again for the first time.
I also typically do other things while having the stream on my second monitor, and I've never spent a cent on subs or bits or whatever.

    It is interactive radio.
The modern day equivalent to calling into radio talkshow.
There used to be TV channels in 1990s and 2000s where you could send an SMS and have it appear on screen, some of them acting like chat rooms.

Streaming provides the same service but with a free chat and for interests that appeal to internet nerds.

Streamers who talk about other stuff while playing the game are best. It's like a longer and more rambling podcast you can listen to while playing your own game. Or if it's multiple people sometimes genuinely funny stuff happens.

i dont feel bad about shirking all my responsibilities while watching a gaymer, but i do if i try to read manga or enjoy vidya. it's a lot like TV.

i mostly just watch a few people who mainly just play the game with some occasional chat/donation reading.

small ones with active chats are the best but they're rare, the streamer has to be really interactive and talk about a lot to get 10-15 people to speak to them

I see it around though, I have a couple of favorites who have 10-20 viewers and their chat is as active as someone with 100 because they just talk about interesting things and play good variety

Thousands of streams in the website yet you hyperfixate on the ones that bother you the most, why even paying attention to them? Unless the streamers I watch suddenly start going topless, I just don't see why should I care. I already wasn't watching the ones who are shamelessly going NSFW.

You want a real answer? It's mindless entertainment for when you're too tired to dedicate yourself to a movie / album / book but it's too early to go to bed so you need to kill time. Basically the "boomer falling asleep to TV" thing but for the new generation.
I occasionally play Hearthstone so I found an HS streamer who plays interesting decks, is a fun charismatic guy and lives in the same timezone, and mostly watch him (or Forsen for old time's sake)

I don't get it either, but I made myself one and streamed for a couple months, got a couple of hundred followers lol. I still don't get watching people, but streaming is pretty chill and fun if you talk with the guys that are writing in the chat. It was relaxing for me lol.

It helps having a community before starting streaming, like a discord.
