>anything I dont understand is nostalgia
and this is why its pointless talking to you
Soul and atmosphere, things that a dumb kid like you could never understand
They did't really have 'soul' they were ok games though until they started with the anti-Catholic durr hurr Nuns/Saints stuff in Hitman absolution and that's the last time I ever gave them money or ever will. I guess they don't want my money or they would not run with durr hurr sectarian anti Catholic garbage.

"We were surprised by the reaction to it. We've been trying to find out, y'know, how could we not see this happening? If we knew it would get such a negative reaction we would have done it in a different way.
"The game is inspired by Grindhouse-style movies, so for us the trailer was natural way to deal with that subject matter. We hope when people play it they have fun with it."
The nun characters did "fit" the Hitman universe, Blystad argued, explaining that previous games have always been "colourful and cartoony".
"The Saints fit into that somewhere, but it is a more extreme level in the game than others."
And, with the changes in place, developer IO Interactive does not expect any further fallout from the footage.
"There will have been so long between the trailer coming out and the game being released that people will have forgotten about it," Blystad concluded.

"However, many critics and players disliked the game for its narrative, issues with the disguise system, and the game’s linear structure as opposed to the open ended nature of previous installments. As of March 2013, the game had sold over 3.6 million copies. Following Absolution's disappointing reception, the series received a soft reboot in 2016's Hitman, "

Absolution's executive devs were so confidently wrong it's insane.
>not my heckin cult!!!!
It's my money, my faith, it's important to me. You don't get my money if you insult my faith. Understand?
But 47 is a religious man himself.
I'm not here to debate the profoundly insulting imagery or deliberate denigration of Catholic nuns. It happened I once bought their games. I did not any more. A lot of others will have done the same. It's my money I decide what to pend it on, if I don't like what you produce, no money. No apology made either just 'ah they will forget'. I don't forget.
He never found peace.
2 ends with 47 leaving any hope of redemption in the rear view. Literally, his rosary is left as a foreground object in the rear view.
>Soul and atmosphere
>Blood money
The visual direction was absolute dogshit and everyone looked like a ken doll, the mission settings were boring and shit and the music was nowhere near the level of the other 3 games. Combine that with the excessively casualised and streamlined gameplay and BM pretty much has more in common with the WoA slop than the original games.
>seems like just nostalgia to me
you should like a gay. It could be that op is a homosexual

Less spoon feeding.
Other than that 3 is basically blood money with better graphics.
it's not as casualised as woa and that's pretty much it, everyone jerking off to blood money played it as his first hitman game
gun customization
The music
>throwing coins
>using people as human shields
>pushing people down stairs
>customizing your weapons for your mission and chosen tactics
>discovering the hidden ranks, mostly only achievable with cheats
If you haven't got The Russian Hare or The Needler, you haven't fully played the game yet.
coins
made it way too easy
almost as bad as the mass murder approach in og hitman 2
>then just don't use/do it
true but I hate when I have to force myself to ignore mechanics for the sake of difficulty
I rarely used it, only when I was midway through a plan and suddenly had a guard in a bad position who I needed to move quickly. If you just spam coins everywhere, yes, it's broken. You are complaining about another option in a sandbox game.
hijacking this thread just to say that 80+ mastery xp requirements in freelancer suck dick
>Weapon customization and unlocks
WoA's mastery system is terrible in how linear, bloated, and redundant so much of it is. By the time I unlocked the quietest pistol from Bangkok, I absolutely never wanted to play that level again.
>Tone
>Aesthetic
These are really the same issue. WoA is too family friendly. There's no sex, no grime, nothing potentially offensive like Confederate flags. The music is a straight up downgrade. Everything is trying too hard to be this perfect portrait of modern spy movies like MI or Craig 007. Hitman should feel like Leon the Professional instead.
And 47 being even vaguely sympathetic or heroic is fricking stupid.
>nostalgia coping
I played Hitman 2016 before 2, Contracts, or BM.
WoA has amazing level design, and while that's worth a lot, it doesn't explain why so much of the subject matter had to be so watered down.
I unironically rated Blood Money above WoA, until Freelancer came out. I love Freelancer, and it sort of removes the thing I hate about WoA which is constantly being bombarded with easy storyline kills of the targets. It also had a decently satisfying unlock system.
wow unironically?
no way
>peawiener server isn't working on either dodi or fittroon repack
I'm seething.
