    >can i just shoot this guy an email
    yes
    >and actually get a response?
probably not. Tyler mcBlack person floods his inbox from a million sock puppets every day, he probably doesn't even read his [email protected] inbox anymore.

    dunno about carmack tho

      darn
infamously jeff bezos would read his mail and if some random guy emailed him and said something sucked he would shoot off a "?" email and cause an entire division to panic to fix it

      wonder what carmack's email is

he recently had [email protected] but he departed oculus i think like a year ago at this point
might be better off reaching out to him on twitter.

He won’t care because he’s a heartless scammer.

Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.

      the artifact fanbase deserved it

just look how you act now, spamming a board that has nothing to do with what happened

        Hey Black person
        Nobody cares
        Frick off

Complain a developer is a SJW and nobody bats an eye. Complain a developer is a known scammer who commits false advertising and fraud and everyone loses their minds.

Gabe used to say he read every email so you can always try. He might redirect the email to someone else at Valve who might answer.
Carmack I think answers to DM's on twitter.
But I have no idea what you think either of them would be able to say.

if they did anything here or what their thoughts/ideas are
disabled people get the shit end of the stick a lot of the time and these guys seem like they're pretty good folks so i think they might have already thought about the topic

If you want an answer you'll have to be more specific with the question. You have to assume they'll only write a couple of sentences, not a dissertation about disabled people. There's no one size fits all solution. I think Xbox and Sony both have hardware made for disabled people, there's accessibility options in most games. You'll have to be specific with what exactly you want to know or ask of them.

What are your ideas? I'm a cripple cause I only have use of one hand so I play with my feet. I would like some kinda breakout box for the triggers/bumpers that I could press with my hand. I can press the triggers/bumpers but it would better/faster if I could just do those with my hand.

If you have functional hands and a neurotypical brain, you can play videogames as well as anyone else.

What part of "crippled" do you not understand?

        Anonymous

        the "crippled" part
If you dont have functional hands, you have bigger concerns than not being able to play videogames such as wiping your ass after a dump
and if you dont have a functioning brain, you wouldnt even know what videogames are in the first place

          >can't wrap his head around the fact that we might ALREADY have facilities and tools built to help people that have these problems
Taking your scenario of a guy without functional hands... bidets have existed for a very long time I'd say. So what then, the guy without working hands should just sit all day and can only watch TV? He can't do anything else during his spare time?
What makes you think every single part of every single day is some sort of constant struggle? Even these dudes have moments where they can just sit down, save for the worst cases.

yes, and you likely won't. Think outside the box and send him a handwritten (or typed) letter via snail mail and he might just take that as a sign that you're very passionate about this and send you a response (include your email for added likely chance he will respond, I doubt he wants to snail mail your ass back).

      not a bad idea
it doesn't have to be gabe, ofc i'd love to say "i talked with gabe about this" but idk who on here might actually do stuff in that area

I'd say search the names of some of the people in product design, hardware, and other experts to see if you can find linkedin pages for them, etc to see exactly what they do and their proper position names then narrow it down from there and send out a few letters to the ones that seem like they'd be highest up in their respective depts.
