No. Foundation is fricked and they don't care anymore, they already have your money. These updates are just the bare minimum to avoid completely pissing even the normalgays off.
Itd be nice if they brought back the alpacas and brought back the colored gems. The customization kind of makes them obsolete though I guess. Brewster being back would be nice. I've only played new leaf other than this one though so I'm not sure what else I'm missing out on
Even if there's a good amount of content added, it's too little too late. If it's just fricking Brewster with some cosmetic changes I'm going to laugh my ass off.
Probably the only game I ever got memed into buying by Ganker. This board back in March and April 2020 was acting like this shitpile was so amazing. Thankfully I bought physical and was able to recuperate most of my money back on eBay.
I'd love if they added an upgradable nooks cranny to get more furniture options. The cranny we have right now is pathetic. They should also bring back perfect fruits, add more tropical fruits, maybe a cooking mechanic, new villager dialogue would be good too. Add more islands with more stuff to do, add more furniture, more recipes (there can't be that many recipes because I definitely don't have all the recipes and I still somehow get fricking doubles)
What were they even thinking with the Nook's cranny? I couldn't even ask people to buy from their shops like I could in previous titles because things were scarce for everyone, and nowadays when things are scarce people try their best to find a way to exploit it. It felt like a simulation of the real world's problems with scarce resources and people scalping stuff but in game form, frick that.
I really don't get it, the upgradable cranny in NL was exciting for me because that was my first AC and seeing it go from a dinky shack to a two story mega mart was really cool. Pretty sure it was open later too as you upgraded it. Was so disappointed when I heard the cranny didn't upgrade.
You would think they would make the store even bigger than previous titles now that furniture items can be displayed out in the open, but it was such a slow grind that I wasn't getting enough stuff to make my house look nice, let alone customize my island. New Horizons has caused more stress than anything else and the series is supposed to be comfy.
Yeah that's true. I just spend hours clearing out my island to finally take it seriously and make it look presentable and now it's coming down to moving houses to certain spots and I want to decorate the outsides like how my friends do it but getting new furniture that looks cool is such a fricking slow process and I'm not sure how to approach doing it
You have to time travel if you don't like waiting a year to get a decent catalog, but once when you start doing that the game starts feeling less special. They really dropped the ball with NH.
I wish they'd finally update the fishing. Just let me fricking aim where the bobber is gonna drop, this stupid bullshit of walking around and hoping Im staring directly where I want to cast is getting so fricking old. Fishing in ponds is a nightmare because the area is so small the fish change direction so quickly that I have to move around the pond forever like a fricking idiot because I can't cast the right way fast enough
Even my normie friends say it's bad compared to how much they loved the GC version.

its just going to be coffee and more holiday shit

this isn't real right?

They just gotta add more proper furniture sets, and more things to do. Islands to travel to and meet NPC's that have been ignored so far.

Far too many of the npcs have been replaced by items to ever keep its soul.
unless they changed the mechanics the roost it's coming too late
hope the direct is the returning of the old sets instead the datamining of new villagers
