The combat still looks really clunky. I didn’t like the climbing gimmick in the first game becuase it was so slow. I just can’t stand when they make climbing stuff in games so slow. Sometimes I don’t even know if my character is moving the right way.

I'm playing DD1 before 2 releases. I like it so far but I just experienced peak Dragon's Dogma. A chimera jumps out and attacks my party. As I'm fighting it, a skeleton knight attacks me. Bandits attack me. 6,000 wolves attack me. I deal with everything and focus on the chimera. Periodically more wolves attack me. Getting a tad sick of this shit

hopium answer: it's indicative of purple/pink base classes. trying-not-to-get-my-hopes-up answer: an intern stopped itsuno while he was walking past one day and asked him what color trickster should be and he made up something on the spot.
IGN said that they encountered several monsters that capcom told them they couldn't write about. it's clear that itsuno really just wants us to discover everything for ourselves. which is the way I would prefer it honestly. it just kinda sucks during the months leading up to release.
I guess the gay that said Itsuno is actively been a pain to the marketing team because "The process of discovering things by yourself is a essential part of DD2" was right then, kind of make sense if you think about it, if at release day people are find tons of shit the word of mouth will spread like wild fire. I might be misremembering whatever it was that I read and it could've been only one, but the point is that if IGN found even one new monster in their tiny demo that they were forbidden to write about, the full game is likely to contain a whole bunch more that is intentionally being kept under wraps.

im hyped but they really need to show something NEW, not just updated stuff from DD1. With the first ER footage they've already confirmed 8 new weapon categories, and each category comes with multiple animation sets, weaponarts and of course the weapons themselves, all just for a DLC.
Meanwhile in terms of new weapon types in all this time capcom have show us.... trickster & mystic spearhand. Come on. I'm not asking they show everything pre-release, but at least confirm there's actual new unseen vocations we can find for ourselves while playing.

what we've seen so far is sufficient to tease a new game while keeping enough in the dark to make for a wonderful, mysterious journey after release. you have to remember that most people aren't like Ganker, glued to the screen and desperate for any snippet of new footage. of course we're going to be thirsty, but only because we love DD so much and can't stand the wait for the game. but capcom keeping their cards close to their chest is the right move, because when we encounter a fricking cerberus or some shit in-game, we'll shit ourselves instead of experiencing a lackluster "oh, there it is" after having seen it a month before in gameplay footage.
honestly, the best approach is to see zero trailers and zero footage for all games, movies, etc. it's just tremendously difficult to do so, so it's up to the developers to limit us.

I just downloaded the demo and it ran fine. A lot of things at off or low but it still looked good which is fine with me. The problem is RE4RE has a min requirement of 4gb vram, which I have, but dd2 has a min of 8gb vram.
I saved this image some days back. gonna use it to optimize my george foreman grill so it can run DD2 best as it can. maybe it'll help you too.
