I always find hilarious how Carmine got always the short stick in this gen, aside of being overshadowed by Kieran in everyone single cameo she has one of the shittiest teams ever, even Marnie a clearly sexualized pedo character had at least a decent team and a top tier track
There should be a distinction between "signature Pokemon" and "ace", like how the Paldean Gym Leaders have both a "partner Pokemon" and the Pokemon they Terastallize into their special type. Like Iono having Tera Electric Mismagius, but Bellibolt being the Pokemon she's most associated with.
For Carmine, Ninetales or Morpeko feel more fitting for her character than Sinistcha

SwSh characters that have partner Pokemon obviously designed to fit them thematically like Melony with Frosmoth or Allister with Cursola came with them as partners in media like Pokemon Masters and shit. You can presume that whoever was in charge of this merch simply fricked up a little bit.
Morpeko is already associated with Marnie, who was only last generation. I don't see why Sinistcha shouldn't be Carmine's ace. It's the only non-legendary line native to Kitakami, and it represents Japanese tradition.
