There was a 600+ reply thread on Ganker about the N64 being the worst console again so now they have to cry about a console they only heard of 20 years after it came out. Very secure in their tastes.
I don't know, probably as a counter to all the Saturn gays constantly attacking other systems. It's hilarious. Shit on the Saturn and their defense is always to just list a bunch of literally who shovelware.
I have no experience with
Kind of like the people who post those lists.

Your cyber sleuthing skills need some work. Those obviously have different filenames.

Your autistic grudge against the Saturn for being better than the N64 is noted, it's very pathetic. Especially for a 45 year old man with no job, kids, family that cares about him to be keeping up to this day.

Currently I'm just laughing at your continued inability to use a simple archive.

Later revision Master System models (like Master System II) added support for 256x224 video mode. It is used extensively in Codemasters games like Micro Machines.
From what I remember it was more that it was a bug in the very early VDP revisions that was later fixed. But since some users may have that earlier revision a lot of games don't use it.
256 wide is really the only one that would have been nice to have as it would have made for easier porting of SNES games, Genesis games, 8-bit games, as well as some PS1 games like SotN. A lot of PS1 games will run in that mode to get better performance as it's less screen real estate it has to draw.
But on Saturn the horizontal resolution is tied to the CPU clock rate, you get 26MHz at 320 wide, and 28MHz at 352 wide, I'm guessing clocking lower for 256 wide wasn't seen as worthwhile. While this seems silly to tie these two together, it does make sense in that you don't need to provide 2 different clocks and is how Sega's VDP worked in the Genesis. When in 320 wide mode the Genesis VDP is clocked higher which allows it to draw more sprites than in 256 wide mode.
352 wide makes sense as that was the standard for Video CD and they wanted to support that. 384 though was only ever used by Capcom's arcade hardware so I don't blame them for not directly supporting that.
Why are the Saturn haters having a complete and total shitfit on this board lately?
Because they can't handle that the narratives they've clung to for years about the Saturn, 32X, etc. are falling apart.
ps1drones got bored of shitting on the N64 so they're now after the saturn.

Literally when does this happen when it’s not in response to some new Saturn bait thread.

The utter willful ignorance of tendies

Saroo everdrive for sega saturn just came out
>lately
new users are constantly learning of it and appalled that such a thing was ever created
how many more saturn threads do you plan on spamming today? asking for a friend
>can't output 256x224
Was that video mode available on Mega Drive purely out of backwards compatibility with Master System?
master system is primarily 256x192. 256x224 was used for a lot of genesis games, even if just for a few screens.

The Zelda killer
Sega of Japan was weird like that.
