They're getting better but that's definitely a thing for whatever reason. DMC5 seems to be the best about it but it's still there a bit on Vergil. Women in particular tend to have puffy upper cheeks.

Sort of. They introduced Mold in RE7 and it can kinda do whatever they want it to. Some of it's hallucinations induced by the Mold, the Mold lets people who are infected by it communicate telepathically, control infected items or people from a distance, etc. It's been awhile since I watched the trailer but I think Rose is trapped in a hallucination for her DLC, but it's kinda real because she's interacting with Mold people, meaning whatever they want to happen can happen.
